Daily Angel Card ~ Walk Away

Angel Card Walk Away: “Leave the unhealthy situation, and enjoy the new doors that open as a result!”

It is safe for you to make your desired change. You have been wanting to do so, but have hesitated out of fears about what the future holds and how people will react to your decision. This card validates that it really is time to leave- you will be happier and healthier as a result. Ask the fairies to smooth the path of hyour transition and lend the necessary support. The sooner you make this change, the sooner you will experience the bliss that your future has in store for you!

Additional meanings for this card:

“Be assertive and tell someone your true feelings. Make a commitment to yourself, and vow to keep it. Start planning now so that you are able to leave, such as calling a support group, updating your resume, or squirreling some money away. Go for healthy and  vigorous walks. “*

This card reminds me of an old saying “Who’s driving your Bus?” basically meaning that if you are on the wrong path, you will never get on the right one until you take the wheel of your own life and start steering it in the direction that your heart desires to go. Not always the easiest thing to do if you have a job that you rely on to support your family, kids, a mortgage, bills up to your eyeballs and family pressures to stay your course.

So how do you get up the guts to just up and walk away? Well, let me tell you a funny story about how I did just exactly that several years ago.

I had worked as a hairdresser for about 10 years in 3 different salons in the same city, so I had a great clientele built up. Great in that I knew approximately how much money I would make in a given month, and knew my schedule about 6-8 weeks in advance due to people booking ahead. Business was good. I was my own boss, chair renting at a salon with 5 of my good friends.

The only issue I had was a lack of freedom and spontaneity. I couldn’t just up and leave for a week, or a month to Mexico or Tahiti if I felt like it, I would have to book it like a year in advance. So I started feeling a little trapped. I would book a week or a weekend off weeks in advance and started planning little dive trips as I had discovered SCUBA diving and absolutely loved it. Everyone who knows me knows that I am actually a mermaid!

So, first I took a week and went to Port Hardy, which was listed in Jaques Cousteau’s top 10 dive sites around the world. I went on a live aboard dive boat and dove 3-4 times a day for the whole week. LOVED it! Fantastic diving, fast currents, loads of life. Then I went to Hawaii for 10 days with a friend, Oahu. It was great but 10 days was just not enough. So I booked in advance to have 5 weeks off and went to Belize. It was amazing, and I had a real taste of freedom. I started to wonder what would happen if I was on a permanent vacation.

Then one day I was in the salon, no trips booked, feeling stuck and trapped and bored and frustrated and totally overwhelmed. I was running behind and had 5 people in the salon, just for me. As I asked one of my least favourite clients to lean back in the sink so I could remove her colour, she made one of her typical snide remarks to me about how she preferred the guy around the corner blowdrying her hair, as when he did it, her hair lasted a full week before she had to wash it (gag). I literally snapped. Something in my mind screamed loud and clear…. “JUST LEAVE. You don’t need this anymore. There is something way better out there for you. Get out. WALK AWAY.”

So I did! Best thing I EVER did! I told my client I was done, I was leaving and I was not finishing her hair. I told the shop owner that I quit, effective immediately. I walked out the door, got in my car, went home and bought a plane ticket.

That ticket eventually lead me to travel for a full 5 years! I went from Kelowna, BC, to Vancouver, to Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara Mexico, to Costa Rica. Then back to Mexico, but the Mayan Rivera this time Playa Del Carmen, then to Florida, Bahamas, Bermuda, Honduras, California, Micronesia, Guam, and Hawaii. I worked in Iberostar Resort in Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel in Mexico, on the live aboard dive boat the Aquacat in the Bahamas, and for Fantasea Bermuda. I traveled to Honduras, Micronesia and Guam with an Argentinian film crew as one of their underwater videographers for a TV show called Diving Passport that aired on ESPN2. I learned from world renown photographer and videographer Frasier Nivens in Key Largo, Florida.

Then  finally, engaged to be married and 6 months pregnant, I came back to Canada to nest and immigrate my Portuguese husband that I met in Bermuda the second season I was there. Now, I am back to hairdressing, but on my terms, from home, with the freedom to pick my kids up from school or camp, go to a figure skating competition, go camping or take the afternoon off. Now that’s more like it!

Any regrets? Well, maybe that I didn’t leave my job even sooner and see more of the world before getting tied down with family responsibility, ha ha. But seriously? Not at all, I changed my whole life the day I walked out that door, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

What do you need to walk away from? And what’s holding you back?

Goddess Hathor ~ Receptivity

Published July 30, 2013 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Daily Angel Card ~ Hathor: Receptivity

Hathor: “Allow yourself to receive. This will increase your intuition, energy, and ability to give to others.”

Message from Hathor: “You have a maternal side to you that naturally cares for those in need, yet this must be balanced with receptivity or the flow is blocked. Receiving is the essence of feminine energy, and it means allowing yourself to receive with grace and gratitude. If you feel guilty when asking others for help, or if you feel bad about receiving gifts, then you block your feminine energy. Your receptivity is must as natural as your nurturing, giving energy. Receptivity allows you to better hear the voices of the angels. When you receive, you have more resources to give to others. Begin by noticing the hundreds of gifts you receive each day, whether it is seeing beauty in nature, witnessing a touching human moment, or being hugged by a loved one. Simply say “Thank you” for each gift, and know that they are filling up your store house, keeping the Divine flow going strong.”

Various meanings of this card: Be still and listen. Release guilt about receiving. Ask for help. Increase psychic awareness. Know that you are in a learning cycle. Healing is occurring. Be more in your feminine energy. Child conception, pregnancy or birth, including adoption or favourable custody arrangements are issues in your life.

About Hathor (pronounced HATH-or): This beloved Egyptian goddess is represented by the head of a cow to symbolize the sacred animal’s life giving milk and mothering. Hathor is a benevolent sky and sun goddess who helps with all aspects of child conception, birthing and raising. Call upon Hathor to guide you in nurturing yourself in your loved ones.”*

Opening yourself up to receive the gifts that life has to offer you is crucial to expanding your consciousness and manifesting abundance into your life. It can be a simple as stopping to acknowledge the love in your loved ones eyes, or accepting a compliment without brushing it off. You can stand with your face to the sun for a few moments, receiving the warmth and light that our bodies need to produce Vitamin D and feelings of well being, no deep tan required, just a few moments. When you go to the beach, take your shoes off, feel your toes in the sand, let the water lap at your feet, even if it’s freezing cold, it will pull you into the present and you can appreciate the connection to the sea.

My all time favourite way of increasing my receptivity is during my Bikram Hot Yoga class, during Camel Pose. I concentrate on opening my heart chakra, and receiving Divine guidance and protection. When you immerse yourself in the pose and really stretch yourself back, opening your spine and ribcage, you can’t help but feel open to receiving when you are so open.

When meditating, also make sure to have open palms, as it is a universal sign of receptivity.

Archangel Chamuel ~ Life Experience

Published July 30, 2013 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

archangel Chamuel

Daily Angel Card, Archangel Chamuel, Life Experience

Archangel Chamuel “A significant life event. A powerful revelation that leads to change. Time to spread your wings.”

You drew this card because a recent evert has been a wake up call for you to make some life changes. This may be a new revelation or something you have known but have been procrastinating about. Now you have realized that this situation can not be ignored and action is necessary.
This is a moment of freedom and awakening. The way you see yourself and the world has forever changed, bringing you growth and encouraging you to spread your wings. Allow these new insights to motivate you to embrace the path of your heart’s true desires and your intuition.

Additional meanings of this card: Liberation. Suddenly seeing the truth. Rapid, inevitable change. Time is running out.
Archangel Chamuel can help you find whatever you are seeking, including right relationships and a Divinely guided career. Call upon Chamuel and then follow your intuition, which is the way this angel speaks to you.”*

I often find myself asking the Angels for guidance and whenever it’s something that needs to be “found” whether it be a person, direction or object, Archangel Chamuel will help you find what you are seeking. Take a few moments to yourself, find a quiet place that you can be alone and sit or lie comfortably, palms open and receiving. Taking a few deep breaths and connecting with the colour gold or yellow, envision Archangel Chamuel standing in front of you. Go ahead and ask him to help you in your quest to find whatever it is that is missing in your life, and stay receptive to his message. If you find it easier, you can start with a statement of gratitude, for instance “Thank you Archangel Chamuel for helping me on my path to finding the right career for me.” I often get my kids to have a few words with the Archangels on the way to school and we always make it a statement of gratitude, as if it has already happened, as it is only us who see time as linear, the true nature of time is infinite.

Here is some awesome information from my Mentor, Doreen Virtue, regarding Archangel Chamuel and his ability to help us find anything that our heart truly desires:

Did You Lose Something?
Archangel Chamuel will find it!
by DOREEN VIRTUE Published: October 4, 2010

Missing items returned with Divine love.

I RECEIVE THE MOST LETTERS from people who have had powerful angel experiences with Archangel Michael, who saves or protects them; with Archangel Raphael, who heals them; and with Archangel Chamuel, who helps them find something.

Archangel Chamuel fulfills a role similar to Saint Anthony in Catholicism, who also helps reunite us with missing items. Both are amazingly swift at bringing back beloved heirloom items, like wedding rings.

If you’re worried about bothering this angel with requests to find your car keys or eyeglasses, let me reassure you: Chamuel is happy to help! He’s charged with a mighty mission of fulfilling universal peace, and part of this plan involves reducing human stress. So if you’re stressed about losing something, rest assured that Chamuel wants to assist. To him, it’s easy to locate your missing item, since he can see the location of everything.

Chamuel can help you find your life’s purpose; a better job or home; your right relationship; and anything, esoteric or tangible, that you request, as long as it’s in alignment with your Higher Self’s path. He knows God’s will for you, so ask for help and Chamuel will sort the rest out.

Here are some examples of the mysterious ways in which Chamuel has helped people to locate what they’re seeking:

When Amanda Peart got a new handbag, she threw her old one in the garbage. Unfortunately, a couple of days later after she emptied her new purse completely, she realized that her iPod had been in the old bag, which had by now gone to the dump.

Very upset, Amanda asked Archangel Chamuel to help. The next day in the supermarket, she opened her new purse and was shocked to find her iPod. She says, “I know for absolute certain that the iPod hadn’t been there previously because I had literally tipped everything out of my bag onto the floor in my desperation and annoyance that I’d lost it.”

Amanda’s story is typical of the Chamuel stories that I receive, in that the lost article reappears mysteriously. I do believe that the angels bring the item back to us once we’ve asked Chamuel to locate it.

You can also call upon Chamuel on behalf of another person, as Nicholas Davis discovered. Nicholas’s roommate owned very expensive sunglasses that he treasured because it had taken him a long time to find the right pair. Then one day he lost them! Nicholas and his roommate searched the entire house, but they were gone.

Then Nicholas recalled that Archangel Chamuel helps retrieve lost items, so with full faith he asked for the sunglasses to be returned to his friend.

The next day, Nicholas got up to get ready for work. He’d forgotten about the incident until he saw his roommate happily wearing his shades. Nicholas remarked, “I thought you lost those. Where’d you find them?”

His pal replied, “It’s a miracle! My sunglasses were on the dining table when I got up this morning; and please don’t ask me how or why they got there, because I can’t give you an answer to any of your questions. They were just there!”

But Nicholas knew in his heart that Archangel Chamuel performed the miracle and does perform them every single day.

When you ask Chamuel to help find something, pay close attention to the thoughts, ideas, visions, and feelings you receive. That’s because Chamuel is letting you know where to find the object through these means. He may tell you to look in a place that seems illogical because you’ve already looked there several times. But check anyway, because the angels may have brought it to that location.

Chamuel can help you find anything, as long as you’re willing to listen and follow his guidance, as a man named Michael Muth discovered. When Michael needed his English-German dictionary, he automatically went to the place where he always kept the book—but it wasn’t there. So Michael searched the entire room, but still no dictionary. He then looked in the living room, in the kitchen, on the balcony, and in the bathroom.

Then Michael remembered that Archangel Chamuel helps us locate missing objects, so he decided to ask him for help. Within a few minutes, he got the answer as a “knowingness” that the dictionary was in his bedroom. And sure enough, it was!

Like a satellite, Chamuel can see everything upon Earth. So, he’s a wonderful companion to call upon if you feel lost or afraid. Chamuel will guide you safely to your destination, as Timothy’s story illustrates.

Whether you’re seeking your soul mate, a better job, or the location of your car keys, Chamuel can use his celestial vision to help.

“Dear Archangel Chamuel, thank you for guiding me to find what I’m looking for, which includes [give specific details about your search].”

Goddess ~ Brigit

Published July 29, 2013 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Goddess Card ~ Brigit

Brigit, “Don’t Back Down, Stand up for what you believe is right”

Message from Brigit: “First, be quite clear about your intentions. If you are unclear, then confusion will lessen your power and force. Like a candle in the dark, be very clear and bright in what is acceptable to you in this situation. Make no mistake: I will guide and protect you. And yet, think of the un-paralleled rise in your own viewpoint if you are able to stand up for yourself, and speak up about your needs and your deepest truth! Now is the time to touch your power, for it’s heat and flame will ignite your passion, which will propel you forward in countless ways. Even in the face of fear, you can still stand up for your ideals and your truth. Be unwavering, and make your stand today!”

Various meanings of this card: Be assertive. Do not worry about what others think. Trust that your actions will work out fine. Speak your truth. Stick to your opinions. Put your foot down.

About Brigit (pronounced BRIH-jet): Brigit is a Celtic triple-goddess, which means that she represents three aspects of woman: the young virgin, the nurturing and loving mother, and the crone/sage/wise woman. Brigit is a fiery goddess who tirelessly protects those who call upon her, and she is a feminine counterpart to Archangel Michael’s warrior energy. Brigit’s temple is in Kildare, Ireland. She is celebrated worldwide on February 1st, the ancient sacred day called “Imbolc,” which marks the beginning of spring time and increasing daylight. “*

This fiery redhead is encouraging you to take charge of your life with laser focus. Know exactly what your goals are and make a plan of action to get there, don’t back down. This is a card of confidence, of follow through and of decisiveness. No messing around, no second guessing. Tune in to your inner strength using your intuition. Use powerful affirmations to guide you and keep your focus strong. Don’t give up, know that you have Divine guidance and protection. Get out of your own way! Be receptive to Divine guidance. Spend at lease 3 min a day in open palm meditation receiving from your guides.

It’s so easy to get side tracked by ego and fear. To lose your nerve, second guess your direction and lose confidence in yourself. This is the time that you ask Brigit for help. You are not here to please everyone, there is always resistance when you start off in a new direction. Follow your heart and stand in your power as you go. You’ve got this!

One of my favourite pick me up’s is this video by Danielle LaPorte, take three minutes to watch it and prepare to be inspired to take on the world!

How are you feeling now? Ready to get going? Ready for anything? Ready to chase your passion no matter what obstacle stand in your way?

I thought so!

Bast, The Cat Goddess

Published July 28, 2013 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Daily Goddess Card ~ Bast, Independent “Your independence is a foundation for your strength and success.”

Message from Goddess Bast: “Like the cat, you are fiercely independent, yet you also need affection and playful companions. Now is the time to balance your social interactions with solitude. While you may ask others for their opinions, ultimately you must make your own decisions. Your freedom and independence are top priorities, so ensure that these characteristics are nurtured.

Various meanings of this card: Spend time alone. Give yourself permission to play. Ask for your needs to be met. Make your own decision. Work with cats. Pay attention to your pet feline and or get a new cat.

About Bast (rhymes with Mast): The Egyptian goddess Bast transforms into a cat each night and protects her family and those who call upon her with her all-seeing night vision. She exhibits the catlike traits of the feminine, which include gracefulness, independence, playfulness, and intuition. Bast also works with cat lovers to help their feline companions. The daughter of the sun god, Ra, Bast has the rare distinction of being both a moon and a sun goddess.”*

I have had some really interesting cat interaction lately that I would like to share with you! I work from home, I have a little hair salon. A couple of weeks ago, a gorgeous green-eyed black cat strolled in, flopped down and purred…. ALL DAY! I was thrilled to have the company but concerned someone was missing their pet. The cat left and came back that night, we were wary to have it spend the night inside as we have small kids and hamsters, so we put out a little snack and gave it a cuddle, worrying that it may be lost or hungry. The next day we sent out a neighbourhood bulletin asking if anyone owned the cat and canvassed around door to door asking if anyone knew where the cat lived. Everyone said the cat was a stray. I have to admit, I got excited and went out and bought cat food, only to learn that an elderly neighbour had chased the cat away from her house by spraying it with a garden hose :0( We haven’t been able to find it since. My Dad has a cat allergy so as much as we love cats, we haven’t been able to have one of our own. My kids are really attached to their grandparents, so I don’t want to jeopardize their visits in any way.

Now, I am dreaming about cats, particularly that cat, every night!!! . I did read on the internet that a black cat showing up on your porch is a good omen of prosperity and that sometimes fairies, angels or passed loved ones can show up as black cats, both of which would be awesome!! I feel like that cat came with a message of some kind, just not exactly sure what. Also it said a black cat on your porch is a sign of coming prosperity… which is always good! Lastly, it said that it can be a sign of a fairy, lost loved one or angel…. the cat was so affectionate with me in particular, it jumped up onto the counter, put it’s paws around my neck and rubbed it’s face back and forth over my face, chin and neck, purring loudly, then jumped right into my arms. I actually really miss the energy of the cat!!! Two nights ago, I had more of a disturbing dream about the cat, I dreamed that I rescued it from the neighbours yard, and it was injured, limping and had a damaged eye. I carried the cat into my house, and as I crossed our yard, I realized that the yard had 5 or 6 black cats watching me. I had the feeling that they were the ones who may have injured the cat, and that I had to protect it. I went in the house and shut and locked the door, and then woke up, not knowing what to think.

I was just about to publish this post when I thought I would google cat dreams one last time! Obviously guided by my angels, I found an amazing site on animal totems which includes information on dreams on many of the animals! It’s called The site looks like it is an ongoing project as not all of the animals are available as of yet, but here is what it had to say about cats:

Cat Symbol in Dreams:

cat dream meaning and symbolism

Seeing a cat symbol in dreams often represents femininity, in either yourself or someone close to you. If the cat is flirtatious and playful, this may provide insight to how you are currently behaving in the sexual realm. If the animal seems aggressive toward you, it may either symbolize that you are struggling with your feminine side, or that you are experiencing difficulties in a relationship with a female.

If you see a cat that is being secretive or that seems suspicious, there is probably someone in your life who is lying to you or tricking you.

Because of the negative connotations you may be familiar with regarding black cats and the symbol of bad luck, seeing a black cat in your dream may symbol bad luck in the near future. If the black cat does not seem to threatening or scary, it may be a symbol of increased psychic or unconscious activity in your mind.

I never see the cat as a bad luck symbol so I am going to go with the psychic activity in my mind, which is something I am always working on. Body, mind and spirit!

Rhiannon ~ Sorceress

Published July 27, 2013 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Daily Oracle Card ~ Rhiannon, Sorceress

Rhiannon, “you are a magical person who can manifest your clear intentions into reality.”

Message from Rhiannon: “A large part of my power stems from my connection to animals and nature. If you have been indoors too long, you can recapture your personal power by simply stepping outside. This simple motion will do you a world of good in reawakening your sleeping, magical, spiritual nature. Allow the light of the sun, the moon and the stars to stir ancient memories that may be dormant. Recall the times of your magical abilities, and then put them to use immediately for the good of the entire planet. Resume the mission that was oce aborted through the misdeeds of past time leaders. Take up your spiritual arms and move with swift speed into the night, awakening one and all to the magic that is life itself. This is a mission that must be accomplished, and you are the one who can help us with it.

Various meanings of this card: Have absolute faith that your dream is manifested. Make a clear decision. Put your energy into manifesting your dreams. Know that you deserve to receive good. When you win, others win too. Keep your thoughts focused on your desire and away from fear.

About Rhiannon (pronounced Ree-ah-non): This lunar Welsh goddess’s name means “great queen”, as she serves the important functions, including being the muse of inspiration for poets, artists, and royalty. She lovingly carries souls from Earth to the afterlife plane upon her trusty white horse, helping them adjust to the transition of life after death. A shape shifter, Rhiannon can appear to you as an animal, bird or song. Call upon her for help with manifestations, spirit communication, transitions, or artistic inspiration.”*

Lovely rendition of Rhiannon by

Lovely rendition of Rhiannon by

I have to say, having Welsh in my mother’s side of our family tree, Rhiannon really resonates with me. I picture her like the beautiful Galadriel in the Lord of the Rings, the elf queen on her dazzling white stallion, full of grace and wisdom. It is easy for me to imagine asking for her assistance and having it done immediately, her power so fluent and accessible. She is completely in touch with the Earth and all it’s creatures and plants, she is an advocate for personal strength and power. She is one with her horse or unicorn as she rides, almost gliding, barely touching the ground. Her colour is white and I can imagine asking for her help while lighting a new, pure white candle, letting it take it’s course and burn out in due time, not to be rushed. You could use a lemurian or clear quartz, apophyllite, moonstone or opal to meditate with, placing it at the base of the candle when you are done. Best done outside and barefoot if possible, to connect you with  the Earth, moon and stars. Take a few deep breaths of fresh air and send gratitude for all that you have, focusing on what you are manifesting and letting all fear fall away.

Doubt is like the weather, it can squash plans in the matter of minutes if you let it. Have you ever been all set to have a picnic at the beach with the kids, gotten everyone all packed up and ready to go and looked outside only to have it thundering down golf ball sized hail? Then what? Throw in the towel, stay home, wait it out? Go anyhow, kids never really care about the weather do they? Well mine don’t but it’s usually me who doesn’t fancy sitting out in the cold.

Doubt is the same as that hail storm, driving the spirit back into submission. For example, say you go to a seminar, conference or class, where you hear the most inspiring words of your adult life. You float out of there, about six feet off the ground, head in the clouds planning all the amazing things you are going to do with your life. And then you head home and try and explain all the cool stuff you learned to your skeptical family or friends. You defend your point of view perfectly, no one can take this away from you, they just don’t get it. Thank God you get it, no wonder there are so many issues in the world, and here you are so ready to take them on. For a week, or a month, well, definitely three days or so…. and then this sneaky feeling squeezes up on you.

It’s kind of like coming down with a cold, for the first couple of days you aren’t really sure, but you know you feel kind of off. A little achy, head hurts, neck may feel a little stiff. Doubt is like that, a little here and there, very innocuous, very subtle you can hardly even tell it’s there. Then you catch it, a little voice in your head as you open your new Save the World Facebook page tells you that probably no one will Like your page anyhow, is it really worth all this work? Then you realize that if you work on your webpage tonight you will miss Top Chef. Well, not a really big deal if no one really seems on board anyhow.

Friends and family breath sighs of relief, thank god this latest storm seems to have passed. You have landed firmly back on planet Earth.

But what about you? What about all those plans? What about your vision board? Where is the motivation to follow that massive hit of inspiration? There is a fork in the road. Which way will you go?

Follow the low road? It feels so familiar…. been down there so many times you know it like the back of your hand, and there is something so secure and safe about knowing where you are headed. The low road meanders around in a big, lazy, loopy circle right back to where you started, you have been there countless times.

The high road looks kind of intimidating. It starts with a big steep hill and you can’t even see the top from where you stand. What if it’s too hard? What if you climb up all that way and then fall off or get lost or end up on the wrong path? You stand pondering the roads, feeling the pull of that old familiar route. Plus, that’s the way most of the people you know follow.

Then, before you know what you are doing, you take off at a full run, straight up hill, leaving the low road in the dust. Your heart is pounding, all your senses are on high alert, you are in disbelief that you actually had the guts to get up the nerve to even try it. You keep going up and up and up and you are passing waterfalls, old growth trees and ferns up to your waist. The road gets narrower but you just keep going, an audience of amazed wildlife cheering you on. You get out your machete and start bush whacking, no one has ever made it this far before, or at least not for a very long time. Finally, you slow down a little, feeling committed to your journey you start to look around you, enjoying every challenging step. You push through to a clearing and stop, stunned at how far you have made it.

You are at the top of the world, you can see everything from here. You suddenly understand your purpose. To help other people find their way up here. You can feel the abundance, you can sense the Universe gazing down on you benevolently silently offering you all the help you are willing to receive.

Then you realize your journey has just begun.
