Daily Angel Card, from the Indigo Angel Oracle Card deck, by Charles Virtue and Doreen Virtue, Ph.D: Trust
Trust: “This card asks you to trust that there is a purpose to life. Keep faith that the chaos you see around you has an underlying meaning and Divine design. When times are hard, Indigos can feel that the world has been orchestrated to work against them and that nothing is fair. The truth is that your viewpoint has not yet expanded enough to put your problems into perspective.
As you age, you will see that what seems overwhelming and unbearable now is only a minor hitch. Trust that there is so much more out there, including magial experiences. You will see how balanced the world has the potential to be.
Take this card as a reminder to persevere, stay strong and believe in yourself, because the world needs you more than you may know.”*
Trust is one of the most difficult things we have to do, whether it is in another person or in Divine timing. It takes a huge leap of faith to trust in a person or situation, especially when you don’t know how it’s all going to pan out in the end. Trust is a combination of naivety and dependance when you are young, and turns into a combination of faith and courage as you age and life experience dictates what comfort level we have with a given situation. Once trust is marred in any way, it’s like a wound that takes time to heal, and may leave scars, never really returning to the original state of health, and it takes an enormous amount of strength of character to forgive, forget and start building the trust again.
Rebuilding trust is like creating the finest gossamer silk, one thread at a time. If something happens early on to break the trust again, the fabric isn’t strong enough to hold and will tear apart. Every time it’s torn, it’s harder and harder to repair. On the other hand, if the threads are carefully woven, by daily acts of kindness, reliability and follow through, the fabric can grow stronger and stronger, getting very close to the same strength as brand new.
When things are falling down around you… (is it me that this is happening to right now or everyone??) then you have to rely our faith in the Angels and on their Divine timing. Know there is some sort of method to all this madness, but it may not be apparent from this close to the situation. Sometimes time gives perspective, you can look back at the big picture and have your “ah-ha” moment. Know that there is a reason, a purpose, and that sometimes it’s a stepping stone to something much better.
Take some time to remove yourself from the chaos, gain perspective through stillness and silence. Ask for a sign, ground yourself and wait out the storm. Oh, and don’t forget to look for the rainbow!
