Daily Angel Oracle Card, from the Gaia Oracle Card deck, by Toni Carmine Salerno: Zen Garden
Zen Garden: “Inner Sanctuary.”
“Life is full of ups and downs, a constant ebb and flow between war and peace. Everything has a positive and negative charge. Harmony and disharmony, order and chaos, clarity and confusion, calm and conflict, are all partners. In our physical world, you cannot have one without the other. Yet, like all of us you sometimes wish that things could change. Why can’t we just live in peace? Well, the answer is that peace is possible, but you can only find it from within. The first step is to accept the world as it is – just let things be. Trust that everything happens for a reason and that there is a higher purpose to all things. Now become aware of your breath, let it guide you to a place of peace and light, a beautiful garden within the golden chamber of your heart. It is here, within your inner sanctuary that you will find the peace you seek. Peace is only possible when there is peace within our hearts. When you are able to find peace even in the midst of chaos then you are a true master.
I accept and love the world as it is.
I trust that there is a higher order to everything.
I find solace in the sanctuary of my heart.
I move my awareness within.
I am the peace I seek.”*
We can only control how we react to situations around us; how we feel, how we think, and what we do is all up to us. Often there are situations or events in our lives that we allow to frustrate, annoy or anger us; yet it is up to us to manage our emotional responses. It’s easy to lash out at the people or situations that anger us; things that we wish to change but feel powerless to do so. Blame, resentment, irritation, jealousy and rage live only within us; not outside. You can’t change someone else, but you can change yourself.
Detaching from the negative emotions that well up inside you when things aren’t going the way you wish they would; or when things seem right out of control is essential. A few moments of centering, a few deep breaths and a few words with the Angels will literally transform you; if you can be mindful of what triggers you. Once you regain your calm, you can ask yourself a very important question; is there anything I can do to positively change this situation?
The answer may be that you must step back from the situation or person that causes these emotions to overtake you; if this is possible. Maybe it’s the end of a toxic relationship, or maybe you just need some perspective. Is there an alternative route; can you change a simple pattern that you have been repeating, expecting different results? Can you bless the situation or person and walk away, finally creating the life you know you are meant to live? Or can you somehow come to a balanced compromise between you to mend the damage being done?
Only you know the answers but you can’t see things objectively until you are able to remove the stress. Breathe, center, release the lower energy vibrations; ask for help from your Angels who patiently wait at your side to assist you in any way they can. Know that peace resides within you, to be discovered in the most unlikely circumstances; bringing with it a knowing of your true, limitless connection with the Divine.
