Daily Angel Oracle Card, from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Card deck, by Tori Hartman: Victim ~ Green Acorn
Victim ~ Green Acorn: “I am not a victim! I chose to do what I am doing!”
“The Legend: Green Acorn is asked to star in a fable by Kelly the Green Dragon. He was promised top billing, but in the end, he says, his best work never made the final edit. Now he does not even have a speaking part. He feels betrayed by Kelly the Green Dragon. But Green Acorn is not resentful; being in the fable landed him a job on display at a museum. He insists that he is content. But we can see denial and the underlying anger.
Inspiration: The Green Acorn indicates that being in denial may be holding you back. To move forward, you must make an honest assessment of your situation.
Personal Inquiry: How are my actions connected to my inability to create breakthroughs? Am I willing to make new choices in order to grow?
Key Ideas: Feeling blocked; blaming others; past resentment; deluding yourself; potential for greatness.
Key Words: Growth, breakthroughs, empowerment
See yourself sitting in a cinema. As the movie begins, you watch a scene from your life
about a dream that never came true. Maybe you had wanted a promotion,
a new house, a relationship – something you were promised that did not come to pass.
Allow yourself to feel the disappointment again. Now rewrite the scene.
How does you fable end?”*

Sometimes it’s hard to admit that, while well intentioned, some of the choices we have made over our lifetime have not lead us to where we would like to be. One little wrong turn after another and you can end up very far from where you should be! It may be easier to blame others for these misdirections, yet if we are to be totally honest with ourselves, we are not a victim and really never have been.
Instead of victim, try to see the lessons that you have learned in the situations you have put yourself in. The more uncomfortable the situation, the more important the lesson. Do not over complicate this; most often our lesson has a lot to do with seeing our own worth and Divinity; of unconditional self love and acceptance. It is much simpler than we think. When you refuse to see the lessons, they come back at you over and over again, each time stronger than the last time. Until you move through it, acknowledging your part, you are stuck in denial.
You do have potential for greatness… we all do! Yet we are the first to deny this within ourselves. Why? Usually due to old programming from people who imprinted their values on us at an early age. These may have been from people who meant well, or thought they had our best intentions at heart, yet left a painful, self doubting and anxious feeling within us. Sometimes these concepts could have been warped over time in our own memories, taking on more power than they were ever intended to; the person may not even remember saying what we have been carrying with us.
It’s time to take stock of what is true and what is part of a false belief system. It is time to learn the lesson and discard the old, outmoded thought patterns and embrace the idea of limitless potential. It’s time to rewrite the script. What is your fairy tale ending?
