Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Lady Of Leprechauns, from The Heart Of Faery Oracle Card deck, by Brian and Wendy Froud
The Lady Of Leprechauns: “Clear Sight, Foreknowledge, Faerie Gifts.”
“Who is the The Lady Of Leprechauns? To begin to understand this lady we must look at those whom she protects – the Leprechauns themselves. They are tricky beings, sometimes helpful, sometimes misleading and tellers of tall tales.
The Leprechaun can be surprised, caught and very rarely convinced to give up a pot of gold to the lucky captor, it is a rare and lucky person indeed who keeps what the Leprechaun is forced to give up. If the Leprechauns are tricky, their Lady is even more so. She holds gifts of Faerie in both hands, gifts of knowledge of the future and of clear sight. The crystal ball represents knowledge of the Future. Many of us would give a great deal to know what the future holds, and yet such knowledge can be dangerous.
The gift of clear sight may be a wiser choice, for who does not want to see life clearly? The crystal horn is faceted: you can see through only one facet at a time, each giving a different view of the same thing. What to choose? remember that her gifts are not what they appear to be. Knowledge of the future and clear sight proffered by someone as tricky as this lady may be no more than a glittering illusion.
If you come upon this lady, think carefully about what you wish for. You may be wiser to thank her and walk away empty handed.
The choice is yours.”*

Sometimes we hear what we want to hear; fabricating a future that is shiny and glittery but unfortunately not based in truth. This is particularly true when we are dealing with expectations of how we would like other people to act, or take a specific direction in their lives according to our wishes. As much as we may have intentions for their highest good, we simply must learn that we can only create our own reality; not control another’s.
This card can also be a message of justifying certain unhealthy behaviors; ones that we know deep inside that do not serve our highest purpose, yet we are unable to let go of as we have long convinced ourselves that it may be our only option. Other people may also hold the opinion that we must stay where we are; for the good of all involved. Yet in our heart of hearts, we know a change must be made. Often when this happens, we find ourselves seeking approval from those who we know will support us in not moving forward. This appeases our fears, keeping us in limbo, unable to move into new beginnings. If gives us just cause to stay put, and soothes our egos. It lets the fears and doubts step into the limelight.
When we are seeking approval or justification, there is always a reason. We know what it is. Look no further than deeply into your own heart and soul, for that, Dear One, is where all of your answers lie.
