Time Out: “This card indicates a need to take a time out from your busy schedule and the hustle and bustle of every day life. Perhaps you have been working too hard or have a lot going on. Maybe you have been tired, irritable, and anxious, or just generally feeling unwell. If you have been under stress of any kind or have been spending time in a negative or toxic environment, you must remove yourself from the situation to heal and recharge.
This is the perfect time to take a vacation. Even a day or two away will revitalize and recharge your soul. You do not necessarily need to leave your home; you could laze around the house and unplug your computer and phone. Having an energy healing, massage, or facial; soaking in a hot bath; taking a walk in nature; watching a movie; and reading a good book are perfect ways to unwind, center yourself and feel a sense of renewal.
In order to improve your current situation, you are being asked to adjust to, and harmonize with, the natural rhythm and cycles of your life – cycles that are encouraging you to take time out for you. If you are feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or confused, the answers will present themselves during your quiet time. Clarity comes from silence and order follows peace. So step away from the stress and find your inner sanctuary.

Have you been going and going and going for longer than you can keep track? Do you keep promising yourself that you will slow down once _______________ happens? When you have enough money; when the kids get older; when you feel better; when there is less on your “to do” list; when you retire? And there goes life, flying on by you as you race around, trying to get everything done, only to have even more appear on your plate. So how do you handle it all? Do you frett about how stressed you are? Complain to friends how much you have on your plate? Drive past people who are sauntering down the street and wonder how that would feel?
Well, the good news is that you are in control of your reality, and you can start to change it right now. The bad news is that every time you experience that stress and overwhelm, you become a magnet to more; thus your current situation! So, which way are you going to go? Take a breather and re-evaluate your priorities? Or keep going full speed ahead until you crash? (metaphorically of course, there is really no “bad” news here!… just gentle reminders!!)
Not everyone can take a holiday right now, me included. But we can take a yoga class, a bath or a long walk outside. Not everyone can take a spa day, but everyone can take some time to practice deep breathing and mindfulness. Everyone can listen to some of their favourite uplifting music. Everyone can dance like no one is watching, even if you have to do it sitting down!
What can you take some time to do for you, starting today? Something that makes you happy, takes the edge off your stress, and doesn’t cost a fortune… unless you have a fortune in which case, go for it, and can I come too?
