The Queen Of The Day: Grace ~ Beauty ~ Blessings

“The Queen Of The Day is a queen of blessings. She holds those blessings in the palm of her hand, and she leaves peace, cam, and a sense of well-being as she passes. She is the embodiment of what we sometimes call a “state of grace.” She is the light after the darkness, the sun and shadow of an awakening day. If you are lucky enough to draw this card, then you are blessed. Enjoy the moment and enjoy the day. Be aware of the beauty around you, no matter where you are or what situation you find yourself in, for there is beauty everywhere if you have the eyes to see it. Stop and think about how this day, this situation can be seen in a better light. Beauty and grace are there, but you must find them.”*

All we ever really have is today. We can get stuck on yesterday and plan carefully for tomorrow, but we are always right here… today. We can think about how wonderful or terrible our past was, letting our minds stick to it like fly paper; always drawing the same conclusions after much analyzing and repeating the same patterns. We can project ourselves into the beyond; into tomorrow, next week, next year… always waiting for our lives to finally start only to realize that we missed too much along the way. Life is not the destination, it never was, it will always be all about the journey.

How much time do we spend in “autopilot” mode? How often are we just going through the motions, the routine, the endless obligation and responsibility like zombies? Are we moving through our lives trying to avoid repeating past “mistakes” while planning a bright and wonderful future and if so, where does that leave us… right now? How much of our lives are we actually awake, using all of our senses and experiencing the wonders of being here in the physical plane? Distraction free?

There is so much distraction taking us out of the simple and pleasurable part of being ourselves. Financial stress: How to generate more prosperity, how to cover the bills, how to keep up with the expectations? Diet stress: What if this is bad for me? How do I feed my kids optimally? What is this causes disease? Physical Stress: Pain, body image issues, age related challenges. Emotional stress: Toxic people or relationships. Do I stay or do I go? Does this person love me and if they do why am I unfulfilled? What do I need to “fix” in order for others to accept me? Electronic stress: Smart Phones, Social Media, Video Games, Television… all coming at you 24/7…

How do we shut all that out, even for just a little whilte…  and just… be? Be connected and calm and peaceful and joyful and take a break from the endless overanalzying and information overload? Be here, right now? Be in alignment with where we are, what we’ve got and who we are, right now? Well, to start we can breathe. That’s where the magic happens. Then, activate your senses one at a time, giving each your full concentration and focus. What can you hear, right now? Birds? People? Cars? Can you get somewhere that all you can hear is your own heart beat and maybe some sounds of Nature? What do you see around you? You don’t have to be in the Amazon looking at Blue Metamorphosis butterflies… you can look at your hands to bring you back into the present, or in your own eyes in the mirror…. but of course if you can get out and gaze at a tree or the sky or the ocean, that would be fantastic! What do you feel? Let each part of your body speak for itself. What are you experiencing right now? Drinking a fresh glass of pure water is also a great way to ground yourself in to the present.

The Queen Of The Day is here to bring blessings, but you must be present to receive them. Make space in your “busy brain” to allow for some silent contemplation. Detach from the drama, and breathe. Smile. Connect. Calm down.

Blessings come in many forms, one of the most precious is the realization of the present.

And now I want to share some wisdom (that kinda blew my mind!!) from an article I just read written by Steven Bancarz, the creator of ‘Spirit Science and Metaphysics’:

“There will be a time in this life where you will be old and near passing.  You will be reflecting on your past experiences, on how you spent your life, on all of the great times you had, and maybe even on how often you took life for granted.  There will come a time in your life where you would give ANYTHING to be in this position right now.  Alive, youthful, healthy.   You would give your arm and a leg if you could just experience life as a 20 or 30 or 50-year-old again.  Imagine yourself being on your deathbed and wishing you could go back for just 30 seconds to extract more experience from life and to fully appreciate how amazing it is.  Consider this moment, right now, being your wish granted. What are you going to do with this moment?

Look at the world through the lens of impermanence and you will notice a shift inside of you right away that may knock you off your feet, as it did for me.  One day, you won’t have a future.  Taking even just a moment to look at the world as if these are your last 60 seconds is a surefire way to snap yourself out of daydreaming and into lucidity.” Read More Here
