Daily Angel Oracle Card: Eternal Embrace, from the Magdalene Oracle Card deck, by Toni Carmine Salerno

Eternal Embrace: “Everything in the Universe consists of complementary opposites, so there is no point in wishing that everyone around you was more like you. Accept this universal truth and you will avoid further disappointment. Every time you identify a quality in another that you do not like, pause for a moment and identify that same quality within you. If you have identified that same quality within you. If you have identified that quality in another then it is sure to exist also in you. If you can’t see it within yourself it is simply because you have repressed that quality. Every quality you think you possess comes with an opposite quality attached to it. You can’t have one without having the other. Read and reflect on the following sets of qualities or feelings, listed on the next page, several times each day. As you go, you may want to add more qualities. Slowly reflect on each one until you are able to own and love each one equally, you will have made a major breakthrough which leads to a new-found sense of balance and well-being.

Qualities and feelings to own and love:

*Positive/Negative

*Friendly/Not friendly

*Happy/Sad

* Peaceful/Aggressive

*Strong/weak

*Trusting/Fearful

*Confused/Clear-headed

*Spiritual/Physical

*Responsible/Irresponsible

*Considerate/Inconsiderate

*Angry/Calm

*Feminine/Masculine

*Kind/Cruel.”*

Peace from within comes from the balancing of the polarities, not from the repressing of the undesirable qualities within ourselves. We must acknowledge that we are but human, and thus, we are subject to all aspects of this experience, including those which may be considered weak or negative. When we accept that we embody all of these qualities and feelings, we can, instead of struggling against that which we wish to stamp out of ourselves, accept them as part of the whole. This is the same for our daily lives. We must allow ourselves to feel what we feel when it comes to us. When we stuff our anger, guilt, shame or sadness, we force our physical bodies to hold on to these repressed emotions, which wreaks havoc on our energy systems and eventually causes physical problems and dis-ease. When we allow ourselves to work through our feelings and emotions, and express them as they come, we then have the power to release them.

Life is not about being perfect all the time, even though it would seem so. We are not living in a beer commercial! We live in a society which berates people for any kind of negative reaction. The fastest way into the tabloids is to get angry with someone, have a breakdown or suffer any kind of negative emotion. We must honour the feelings that come to us; allow ourselves to feel hurt if someone is mean to us, or the guilt if we are short with someone we love. We must see each day as another chance to do our best, with compassion.

We are here to be human, and human is not perfection. It is experiencing fear, and having trouble making the right decision. It is feeling sad and fighting for what you believe in. It is about getting angry or frustrated when things aren’t going as planned, when someone you love is hurting, or when your own heart is in jeopardy. But it is also finding the balance; through love, compassion, forgiveness and acceptance.

We are a part of All That Is; the good, the bad, and everything in between.

Peace is found in the balance.

Namaste
