Daily Angel Oracle Card: Maeve ~ Cycles and Rhythms, from the Goddess Guidance Oracle Card deck, by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D
Maeve ~ Cycles and Rhythms: Honour the cycles of your body, energy levels, and emotions.”
Message From Maeve: “All of life is cyclical: the moon, the stars, and the very universe. Life inhales and then exhales again. So why should you be surprised or upset that you too have cycles? There are times when you feel energized, awake, and alive. There are other times when you feel isolated and shy. Your body, too, goes through pronounced cycles and changes. Celebrate these rhythms, and embrace them as the essence of the lifeblood that courses through you!”
Various Meanings Of This Card: Female gynecological changes (starting menses or menopause, for example) are an issue for you at this time. Make time to rest. Initiate steps to alleviate depression or lethargy. Take better care of your body. Seek support for dealing with emotional crises. Allow yourself to grieve or take time off. Know that this lull will not last forever. A doorway of opportunity has opened up, and you need to walk through it now.
About Maeve: (pronounced Mayv): A Celtic goddess, Maeve celebrates her femininity. Her sexual appetite is legendary, and she has been said to favor kinds as her lovers. Legend says that Maeve invoked labor pains on an army seeking to invade her land, and that she demanded that the battle cease during her menstrual cycle. Call upon Maeve for relief from pain associated with feminine cycles, including menstruation, labor and delivery, and menopause.”*

You may be more sensitive lately. There have been so many fluctuations in our surroundings, solar flares, cosmic energy with Mercury, Saturn and Neptune taking turns being retrograde. Summer Solstice, warmer weather if you are in the Northern Hemisphere. You may find that you are more sensitive to the moon cycles than you realized, it is well worth charting to see how the various cycles of the moon affect you, body, mind and spirit. You may also find that you are more tired, needing more rest, or that you are irritable or impatient.
Many of these signs are our body and spirit telling us that we need to slow down. We may be overdoing it, spreading ourselves too thin. This causes stress reactions in our bodies, and we don’t function at our optimal when we are stressed. We may skip meals, or eat on the run making poor nutritional choices. We may forget to drink as much water as we need, or we may substitute with caffeine when we are tired. We might skip the gym, stay up too late trying to get stuff done, and drink wine to help calm ourselves down. Yet all this taxes our bodies, creating even more stress.
Make some time to meditate, breathe, do some yoga or take a bath. Turn electronics off an hour before bed time to allow yourself to find silence within. Pack a nutritious snack and your own lunch when you know that you aren’t going to have time to stop for something good for you. Swap out your latte for a lemon water, limit yourself to one caffeinated drink per day if possible. Cut out the sugar, you may crave it but your body will thank you and you will feel so much better. Put your health first! You deserve it!
Honor where you are at, and be compassionate with yourself as you move through the various cycles. Listen to your body as it tells you what you need. Get some rest as things are about to pick up again and you will need to be ready!
