Albatross: “Faith, Journey, Hope”

The Gift: “I wake with a dream of a distant shore, calling me. I know I must answer. I am Albatross. With a wingspan of over 11 feet (that’s over 3 meters), Albatross is the largest of the flying bird family. The shape of her wings are especially designed to travel long distances. She will journey millions of miles in her lifetime (mostly over the sea) and can soar on the wind without flapping for hours at a time. In fact, Albatross spends more energy landing and taking off than when she is in the air!”

The Message: “It takes courage to set out on a journey of any kind. Albatross knows that sometimes when we start a new adventure, it does not always happen exactly like we had planned. If we are learning something new or reaching for a dream, it can be pretty tricky to reach where we are going! Sometimes if feels like we re out in the middle of the ocean and we do not know when we will see land again! Albatross comes to say trust yourself and the secret winds that guide you. There is no need to flap your wings and fight against the storm. You were designed for greatness. Open your wings. Reach for the stars… and enjoy the journey along the way!”

The Call: “This week, take a journey! Join one of your parents or some friends and walk somewhere that you might normally drive. Do not rush from one place to the next. Do not tire yourself out walking or running too fast. Take the time to really feel what it feels like to be on a journey. When you reach where you are going you might just discover that the adventure getting there was just as fun as being there!”*

The journey you are about to embark upon is a journey back to you. It is time to simplify, to rise above the drama and to turn inwards. You can create a life of magic, mystery and adventure by shifting your perspective. You can create the resources to experience the life that you desire by strengthening your self acceptance and self worth. By knowing that you are capable of co-creating with the Universe; you allow the Universe to meet you with the magic you seek. Anything becomes possible.

A trip is on the horizon. It could be local; turning off your phone and venturing into the deep forest to communicate with the elemental realm. It could be a little road trip, even a day trip to a new beach or to climb a new mountain. Book it. Make time to be alone, or with the ones you love, doing something that brings you back into harmony with the natural world. Experience nature with all of your senses. Do something beyond the ordinary for you. Shake things up a little. When you do this you make space for more new experiences; you expand your awareness and raise your consciousness, bringing more love and light into your being.

Fly like the albatross, feel the deep sense of freedom that comes with absolute Faith.
