The Queen Of The Night: “Desire ~ Yearning ~ Inspiration”

“Behold The Queen Of The Night: the embodiment of all longing. She is the endless night of desire that never thinks of morning; but not just physical desire. She can inspire you to write a poem, paint a picture, find a lover – all with the intensity of single focus. If you choose to ignore her, you may be haunted by the spectre of what might have been. You will never know whether the fragment of poetry you had in your head would become something complete or how the images in your mind would translate onto canvas or paper and you may never know if the person you desire could become your one true love – but you will be safe.

If you choose to follow her, this queen will be your constant companion until you have fulfilled your desire. Only then will you be free of her. However, her gift of inspiration may not be what it seems. You may wake to find that the very thing you have created with such passion has turned to dross in the light of day – the poem, mundane, the lover a loser. Will you risk it?

If you come into her presence, I suggest you draw at least one more card to help you to make sense of where she is leading you. If, for example, you draw the Prince of Light, then her inspiration will most likely lead you down creatively healthy paths. If you draw the Prince of Shadows then beware of what the night holds. Our yearning heart pushes us to take action on pursuing our dreams; yet there is an aspect of this card that warns us to seek clarity before behaving impulsively. It is easy to get caught up in the drama, and it is easy to project your desires onto someone or something that you feel is the key to your joy. If only you can get this person to love you; if only you can land this job; if only you can achieve or attain your goal whatever it may be… then you can allow happiness and joy into your life. Yet we may find that we are let down after each conquest if it is external to us; the joy we seek is within.

Take off the blinders and see what it is that you truly desire. What feeling do those external people or pleasures promise to your ego? Is it security? Fulfillment? Peace? Can that really come with something or someone else? Or could you flip the whole thing around and seek those feelings of peace and fulfillment from within first; knowing that it will draw the people, situations and material objects to you when you are a vibrational match?

This is a message of listening carefully before jumping in with both feet. Stillness before action; the calm before the storm. Divine timing is everything; you must respect the Natural Laws of the Universe. You can create what you desire; and know that every moment is one of creation.

So the bottom line is this:

Be mindful of what you are creating. Moment to moment. Thought to thought. Feeling to feeling.
