Knowing Without Knowing: “Sometimes the heart knows in a way that the concrete mind and memory cannot. We feel something that we cannot quite express. Perhaps others are quick to dismiss it as meaningless whimsy or irrationality, yet that feeling beyond the mind’s capacity to fully perceive is the ancient truth of your greater self reaching through time and space to connect with you. Like a phone line extending from a more ancient place in the world, you can hear it crackle perhaps, not the clearest reception, yet you can also sense the love traveling along that telephone line. The things that you feel and that you do not appear to make sense are the things to trust most now. You are being guided by a force far greater than you own mind, an ancient divine brilliance is reacting to you, communicating with you – you may not hear or understand it with clarity as yet, but you can feel it. Trust what you feel.

This oracle speaks to you of the opening up of your higher mind, of the part of your intelligence that can dialogue directly with the forces of divine guidance and creation. These forces use symbols, abstract communications through dreams and visions, through impulses that circumvent your conscious mind and have words streaming out of your mouth or flowing through your mind that you have not created of your own volition. Someone speaks to you and you respond, with words that you feel you are hearing for the first time as they pour out of your mouth. “Whose words are these?” you wonder. It is your ancient self that speaks. Trust the strange and mysterious at this time. It is another way, an ancient way of wisdom, that you are tapping into now. Enjoy this new sacred connection unfolding. This oracle is also confirmation that you have relationships around you now and continuing to come to you, that are from times long past, karmic connections that will take you further on your journey of love.

Our higher selves connect to us through our intuition, but sometimes it is hard to tell what is coming in from “outside” and what is rising up out of the depths of our Soul. Our Soul communicates with us through our chakras, or energy centers found throughout the body. It will communicate to us through these centers, letting us know “where we are at” and when we do not listen, the feelings become more and more persistent. Often feelings of heaviness or anxiety can be warning signs that something is not quite right, we may be missing or ignoring obvious red flags in a situation or when dealing with a person. Often this happens when we are projecting what we would like the outcome to be, rather than seeing it for what it (sometimes glaringly obviously!) is. On the flip side, if we are overly cautious, and prone to missing opportunity, then it may be that we overlook or turn away from doors that are opening to us. If a situation or person feels right, or lightens our heart, it may be worth spending a little time checking that out.

As we get better at listening, the messages come faster and clearer. There is nothing our Higher Selves like more than to communicate with us! They are our guidance, our protection, our GPS system. If we listen, we can avoid simple struggles such as traffic jams and lineups, get great parking spaces, purchase winning lottery tickets and adopt the perfect pets! The options are literally limitless. Checking in is absolutely invaluable, and can be done by taking time in silence and contemplation for larger issues, and a quick check in for the little things in life.

Your Soul wishes to communicate with you, please honour this call and take the time to respond. You will be amazed at what you didn’t know you knew!

Steam Cave

Steam Cave: “Elemental Forces”

“This card speaks of connecting with elemental forces. The geometry here is of triangles and star tetrahedrons. The illustration was inspired by a hot springs steam cave in which the bather sits in medicinal waters inside the earth and listens to the pulse of the planet as the springs ebb and flow and gurgle. There is a womb like feeling within this cave in the earth, where fire heats water into steam.

You know how this feels, deep in  your bones, though you may never have experienced it. Coming from a primal place in our cellular memory, this feeling holds the power of the elements and speaks directly to the relationship all humans have with those elements and with Mother Earth. Many traditions call in the elements as they begin sacred ceremony. In doing so, a deeper connection is established between the material world and the world of Spirit.

This card reminds you to honor your relationship to the earth and elemental forces, and to ground yourself in the knowing that wherever you go you are always home. Try constructing an elemental altar or placing photographs or art representing the elements somewhere where you will see them regularly. Find a way to honor the earth and her elemental forces in whatever way feels appropriate to you.”

If this card comes to you as Challenger: “You have been at odds with loved ones or colleagues and are in need of the wisdom of earth energies and elemental forces. Call in earth, air, fire and water, and see what that feels like in your body. Realize that the ones you are at odds with are also of this earthly home. Take a fresh look at your situation and communicate from your heart.”*

~by Francene Hart

The five elements are the bridges between ourselves, our Mother Earth and the Ethereal realms. They are our keys to the Ancients; our beloved ancestors, who hold the keys to the Universe. The five elements make up the very cells of our being, and structure the molecules of everything in the physical plane of existence.

Learning to invoke and work with the elements in sacred ceremony assists us to strengthen our connection with the profound wisdom of the Universe; a wisdom that resides within each and every one of us. The elements provide protection, nurturing, sustenance, energy and healing. They are directly linked to our emotions as well as our physical bodies; governing the changes and cycles we experience in each moment. They can give us life, and they can just as swiftly take it away. They must be revered and respected as they are drawn down into ritual just as they should be recognized and honored each day.

Sometimes we may find that we are out of balance, holding more of one of the elements then the others. Too much fire changes our passion to rage. Too much water makes us weepy and needy. Too much air makes us aloof, jaded, over analytical. Too much earth can cause heaviness and stagnancy. The only element that can reign over all others is Ether, the element of pure Love and Light… the life giving Soul energy; although we need the others to balance us out and keep us connected to our physical incarnation in this lifetime.

Connect to and honor the elements through everyday mindfulness. See them all around you. Interact with them with love and respect. Notice them in the natural world. Allow this awareness to increase your consciousness. This is the gateway to enlightenment. The elements are the keys.

The Faun

The Faun, from the Faeries Oracle, by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

The Faun, from the Faeries Oracle, by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Faun, from the Faeries Oracle, by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

The Faun: “Understanding the nature of Nature, Natural Wisdom, Natural Magic”

“The merry, irrepressible Faun, dancing in the garden, frolicking in the woods, playing in the meadows, sings out “Come, dance with me!” It is he who knows the secrets of nature. He knows where the robin’s nestlings are hidden, where the mice lurk, who lives down that rabbit burrow, and where the pixies like to dance.

He teaches us to understand, appreciate, and express the part of ourselves that dances in the moonlight with the faeries, sings to the dawn part of us that plants seeds with a loving pat that says, “Bless you and grow,” and provides healing energy for doing just that. No fuss, no bother,  just intention and natural human magic.

Natural magic is simple. We are all full of it -and the more we are true to our own nature, the more we have access to our own magic. When we are caught up in believing in limitations imposed by ourselves or our culture, we inhibit the flow of energy, which is the melody of Ekstasis’s song of the cosmos as it sweeps through us. Opening ourselves back up to that song can be a long and complex business once we have closed down in some way. It requires a great deal of thought and self-observation, and perhaps also the help of others in the form of formal therapy or simple friendship. However, the process of opening is made easier and more gentle if we allow Mama Nature and our own natural magic to help.

Spending time in our gardens, our parks, our forests, and open spaces helps us to reconnect, but so does growing herbs and flowers and scented geraniums in pots on our windowsills. So does looking at the stars, observing the state of the sky, and listening to the wind. It helps if we simply observe the natural processes and changes around us.

Mama Nature is always up to something, no natural place is the same for two moments in a row. Life is about process, not stasis. We are processes, not things. We constantly change, even when we resist, even when we think we are stuck. “Come with me!” sings the Faun, tugging our hand. It certainly is futile to struggle against the flow of the universe, so we might as well dance with him. Stuckness is an illusion. The Faun says, “dance with me, and it will all come right!” And, do you know? He’s right. At least, many of the blocks in ourselves and our lives will come right much more quickly if we reconnect with him, opening our hearts to him and Mama Nature. They, too, are filled with magic. Just like us.”

Starter Reading: “Natural magic is happening. When things flow almost effortlessly, that is a sing that natural magic is at work. Enjoy it! A very important part of natural magic is simply allowing the energy to flow through us. This means both giving and receiving freely. Let the energy flow – don’t push it, don’t try to control it, just dance with it. Trust it. And remember to keep returning to the source for inspiration and to keep your heart filled with light.”*

~by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

Magic lives in the forest, around the lakes and streams, at the beach and even in your back yard or garden. This is where the Elemental Beings reside, in the Natural world but yet they are still a dimension away. We may not see them, but we can feel them if we give ourselves time to connect. Sitting quietly, back against a tree, eyes closed, listening, feeling. Gazing softly at a flower; lying down in the moss, cradled by the Earth Mother. Looking for portals, feeling the shift in dimensions, open heart and open mind. Our relaxed and open state of mind and allowing is their invitation to engage.

The Elementals represent fun and freedom, but they also represent a deep respectful connection to Mother Gaia and all of her magic and mysteries. They fiercely protect their Mother and will not engage positively with those who treat her badly. The veil is lifting, and we can communicate with these beings if we wish to do so, offering them our service in exchange for their wisdom. Offerings can be made, flowers and crystals left out and little shelters created; leaving a portion of the garden to grow in wild abandon; planting native plants; introducing house plants.

There is also an aspect of play in this message, the dancing, the frolicking, the fun. Magic does not have to be “serious” business, it can have an aspect of playfulness and fun. Access your inner child, they will know exactly what to do. And if that child has been hidden away for too long, connect with a child or pet in your life to help coax it back again.

Brigid ~ Healing: “Your time of healing is here. Past hurts will recede. Be inspired to create- this in itself is healing. It is your birthright to create”

“When the Irish goddess Brigid stepped forth on earth, a flame appeared above her head, roaring upward, connecting her to the heavenly place from which she sprang. This burning fire, full of primal creativity and healing, has been Brigid’s gift to her followers for millennia.

Brigid was the daughter of Dagda (a father figure god in Irish mythology) and one of the poets of the Tuatha de Danann. She is known by many names, including Bride and Briant. Much loved and actively worshipped, she is the patron goddess of creativity and of healing. Artists of all kinds- writers, musicians, bards, scholars and, of course, healers – have called upon her.

The spring festival of Imbolc, which is still celebrated by pagans today, is sacred to Brigid. Herbs necessary for healing are gathered and harvested during this time and ritually blessed in her name. Many celebrations are held around her healing wells, and springs sacred to her are held around her healing wells and springs sacred to her are still well-used in Ireland.

Many writers, filmmakers, farmers and healers ask for inspiration and healing energy from Brigid. The goddess is still a very popular deity throughout the world. Through her later appropriation by the Christians, she is known as St. Brigid, a patron saint of Ireland. Her current sanctuary, situated in Kildare, contains a sacred flame.

Brigid appears in your life to heal you, often by inspiring you. Her energy is powerful and effective. She encourages the full expression of appropriate emotion and the creative spirit. It is said that no one who offers trust to Brigid is disappointed, and she always compassionately does her best to assist. Brigid’s presence will help any creative projects or emotional journeys or discussions. She is a wonderful goddess to call upon when you need to bust out of a rut and get excited about life again!”

Shadow Side: “When Brigid’s son was killed in battle, her grief grew into dark hatred. However, she overcame this hatred by expressing her grief. She wailed and cried so loudly and with such emotion that it is said that she healed herself and inspired unity in the Irish tribes. When you feel that a dark emotion, such as hatred or jealousy, is building inside you, remember that Brigid did not let it control her life; she grieved appropriately and was able to move on.”

It’s time to put some passion back into your life. What inspires you? What do you love to create?

Make time to do what it is that you love to do, and do not let anyone tell you that you do not have time to do it! Get a babysitter; book off an afternoon; get up an hour early; whatever it takes to make time for your life’s work. This is a magical time, full of creative energies, and by doing what you love, you will access a new level of manifestation into your consciousness.

When you are doing what you love to do, whether it is yoga, dance, music, meditation, art, cooking, sewing, woodwork, crafting, painting, sculpting, gardening, reading, hiking, spending time with your animals or pets… whatever it may be that you LOVE more than anything to do and makes your heart soar…. do that! And know as you do so, you raise your vibration to the very highest levels.

This is how you bring more joy into your life. It’s not by slaving away trying to make a few extra dollars; it’s not spending hours doing what you hate doing (although, yes I do realize that there are certain things that we are not getting out of just yet, like laundry, dishes and bills!).  The message is that joy comes from doing what you love, and the more joy you experience, the better. So make it a priority!

Find your joy and do it, unapologetically and with every ounce of your heart and soul.

Raise your vibration and become a magnet for miracles.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Elephant, from the Animal Voices Oracle Card deck, by Chip Richards, Illustrated by Susan Farrell

Elephant: “Responsibility ~ Cooperation ~ Empathy”

The Gift: “Elephants have one of the closet and most loyal families of all the animal kingdom. They live together for up to 80 years, they babysit each other’s young and if one Elephant becomes sick, others bring it food, and protect if until it is well again. When an Elephant dies, the herd covers the elder with dirt and branches. Passing herds will pause at the grave site and offer their respect – even if they did not know the Elephant.”

The Message: “When Elephant enters your life, she brings great blessings. With gentle power and cooperation, Elephant trumpets a reminder that you are a force for good in the world! There are people all around you that love and support you. Ask for help when you need it and be grateful when it comes. Look for ways also to help others on their path. Keep your eyes open for ways you can bring the gift of special support and be helpful when others least expect it!”

The Call: “Take time today to say “thank you” to someone who has been helpful to you when you really needed it. And find someone today that you can show special kindness to. Help them start or finish something they are trying to do. This could be as simple as doing the dishes, cleaning a room, quietly listening or holding someone’s hand as they take their first step into a big dream.”*

~ by Chip Richards

Elephants practice Unconditional love and acceptance by caring for each other’s young, by honouring the members of their clans who have passed on, and those of other clans as well. They are deeply connected to the Earth and to the ancestors and ancients. They practice compassion, loyalty and love. We can learn valuable lessons from the elephant.

This is also a reminder of the power of gratitude in our lives.

Gratitude holds unimaginable power. Gratitude has the power to transmute negative into positive, and turns us into magnets for more to be grateful for. It allows us to rise above the drama of everyday life, and it offers us an olive branch when things feel beyond our control. Gratitude can rekindle the Light within us when all else seems to have failed.

What are you most grateful for? What keeps you going every moment of every day? What have you possibly taken for granted that  you could express great thanks for, knowing that it has made a difference in your life, has made you a better person? Take time today to express this gratitude to someone who has helped you, who has loved you, and who has helped to make you who you are today. Buy a bouquet or pick some wild flowers or deliver a hand written note. It doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated, even a simple Thank you hug or smile will do wonders.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Spaces Between The Worlds, from the Journey Of Love Oracle Card deck, by Alana Fairchild, Rassouli and Richard Cohn

The Spaces Between The Worlds: “When we look for guidance we often look for words that clarify, reassure and help us find our authentic path through the chaos. Yet there is also guidance in the spaces between the worlds, between each letter, between all the happenings in our lives, where there is nothing to be said, where there are no lines to be coloured in, where there is just openness. Those are the times when we need to freestyle! We need to do or not do, based on what is happening for us right in the moment. Often there is far less to do than we think. Often we do not need to think! There is a space forming around you now. Sometimes when we sense this subconsciously we feel exhilarated and excited, anxious and nervous, and not even sure why. There is a sense perhaps that we would not mind having a map of this unknown terrain. Or perhaps we are happy to wing it, and make it up as we go along. Either way, there is space to just be – it is a receiver for the divine presence. If you have a lot of space, of unknowing around you now, or within you, then just know that there is a lot of divine presence to be received. It can’t be explained really, it happens between the worlds and yet without it, there would not be any words, any guidance at all.

The oracle speaks to you – enter the space and let go, for your time to receive it is upon you.

Be blessed.”

~ by Alana Fairchild

“Day Birth

The Eastern rise of time

On new born wings

Bursts out across the lifeless crowd

And sings its climb to heights unknown

Of beauty warmth and power upon its throne

To fade again in Western sky

And only for a moment lie

Before it takes its course again

To breathe once more in heart of man.”

~ By Richard Cohn

There is a space between breaths; between heartbeats. A space between thoughts. A space between musical notes. There is a stillness before the wind comes; and a split second between the waves pulling back and coming crashing back to shore. There is a space between the moments when a bird flaps its wings then soars. There are spaces between the clouds; between the petals on each flower. There are spaces between the licking flames of fire and there spaces between the stars.

These are sacred spaces; they are filled with Love and magic and light. They are the shimmer of the dimensions, of possibility, the magic of Divine creation and infinite blessings.

It is up to us to fill these spaces with gratitude, awe and reverence. Use them to connect us to the ancients; our ancestors, our ethereal benevolent guides and light beings. The Source of endless Love and Light. We can use our imaginations to dream miracles into existence and plant their seeds in these spaces with faith and trust. We can fill them with prayers. With intentions for the very highest good of All.

Wherever we look we will find them. And when we do, we will realize that they are the thread that holds us all together. A part of something much bigger.

An integral part of the Universe.

And so it is. And always has been. Throughout all time and space.

Let it be expressed now in perfected action, for the betterment of all and sit confidently in the sacred throne is the physical body realized. Now I am Love.”

Rhodochrosite in Healing: “The most commonly found Rhodochrosite is a beautiful peach-pink mineral that has white bands running through it. In some outstanding specimens, the white bands form concentric circles and in highly crystallized states in can appear a deep, clear red colour.

The colored rays present in this stone, powerfully link the Crown, Heart, and Sacral Chakras together in sacred communication, delivering many of this stone’s most important properties, including its simple purpose as the Stone of Self-Love. Rhodochrosite opens the heart under the guidance of the spirit and carries their united energies down to the Sacral. This manifests new love and belief in self, opening deep, profound healing that is empowered through forgiveness. This potent combination will release deep pain and hurt often related to sexuality and abuse.

When one is actively harboring avoidance and denial about their surrounds in life Rhodochrosite empowers them to face life, make decisions and accept the changes that result directly through the Heart.

This stone can be work with in meditations to find a soul’s purpose and aid in the locating of other members of one’s soul family, usually delivering information in the Dream state, especially when empowered with Jade. Rhodochrosite is a contact stone for the Archangel Mary and will facilitate communication with any of the female Ascended Masters, including the Lady of the Fountain.

At a more physical level, Rhodochrosite is useful for Internal infections, Cancer, Thyroid imbalance, Irritable bowel syndrome, Digestive imbalances, Uncontrolled visions and Troubled sleep, such nightmares.”

Your Healing Journey Today: “In the presence of Rhodochrosite on this day, you are being asked to take a step into Self-Love, take some time out to do the things that you love individually, doing these things allows us to retain the passion we need to live life to its fullest. In the coming days you will often be learning the true lessons of compassion and forgiveness, where you will remember that your ability to recognize traits in others simply means that once, or possibly still, they lived in you. On this important journey into the heart, have faith in yourself and trust in the world, let go of attachments and remember beyond all things, each of us chooses and creates our path, Self-Love is our most personal and important responsibility.”

Affirmation: “I love myself”

To Love ourselves is to love the Divine. To see ourselves for who we are, without our masks, without hiding and without holding back is to see how far we have come in this lifetime. When we can forgive ourselves our perceived mistakes and accept what is right here, right now, we can transform. When we can stand true to who we really are, we can transcend. We have everything we need within us to create the life that we long for. And it all starts with Love and acceptance.

We may hide aspects of ourselves that we feel ashamed of. We may feel guilty about the consequences of past decisions. Maybe we have not always held the intention that our actions be for the Highest Good of all. But all that is changing now as the illusions fade all around us. Only the truth remains.

We are the seeds of the Universe; we are the expression of the Divine in all it’s miraculous forms. When we look into our Souls, we can see the Light of Love residing there. When we open our hearts, we can see it with others. When we see the Light in All There Is, we become one with that All.

Rhodochrosite will help you move forward into this pure Rose ray of Divine Light. A deep connection to Mother Mary. A gentle opening of the Heart. Healing of the Emotional wounds. The ability to move forward with grace and ease.

And so it is.
