Daily Angel Oracle Card: Steam Cave, from the Sacred Geometry Oracle Card deck, by Francene Hart
Steam Cave: “Elemental Forces”
“This card speaks of connecting with elemental forces. The geometry here is of triangles and star tetrahedrons. The illustration was inspired by a hot springs steam cave in which the bather sits in medicinal waters inside the earth and listens to the pulse of the planet as the springs ebb and flow and gurgle. There is a womb like feeling within this cave in the earth, where fire heats water into steam.
You know how this feels, deep in your bones, though you may never have experienced it. Coming from a primal place in our cellular memory, this feeling holds the power of the elements and speaks directly to the relationship all humans have with those elements and with Mother Earth. Many traditions call in the elements as they begin sacred ceremony. In doing so, a deeper connection is established between the material world and the world of Spirit.
This card reminds you to honor your relationship to the earth and elemental forces, and to ground yourself in the knowing that wherever you go you are always home. Try constructing an elemental altar or placing photographs or art representing the elements somewhere where you will see them regularly. Find a way to honor the earth and her elemental forces in whatever way feels appropriate to you.”
If this card comes to you as Challenger: “You have been at odds with loved ones or colleagues and are in need of the wisdom of earth energies and elemental forces. Call in earth, air, fire and water, and see what that feels like in your body. Realize that the ones you are at odds with are also of this earthly home. Take a fresh look at your situation and communicate from your heart.”*

The five elements are the bridges between ourselves, our Mother Earth and the Ethereal realms. They are our keys to the Ancients; our beloved ancestors, who hold the keys to the Universe. The five elements make up the very cells of our being, and structure the molecules of everything in the physical plane of existence.
Learning to invoke and work with the elements in sacred ceremony assists us to strengthen our connection with the profound wisdom of the Universe; a wisdom that resides within each and every one of us. The elements provide protection, nurturing, sustenance, energy and healing. They are directly linked to our emotions as well as our physical bodies; governing the changes and cycles we experience in each moment. They can give us life, and they can just as swiftly take it away. They must be revered and respected as they are drawn down into ritual just as they should be recognized and honored each day.
Sometimes we may find that we are out of balance, holding more of one of the elements then the others. Too much fire changes our passion to rage. Too much water makes us weepy and needy. Too much air makes us aloof, jaded, over analytical. Too much earth can cause heaviness and stagnancy. The only element that can reign over all others is Ether, the element of pure Love and Light… the life giving Soul energy; although we need the others to balance us out and keep us connected to our physical incarnation in this lifetime.
Connect to and honor the elements through everyday mindfulness. See them all around you. Interact with them with love and respect. Notice them in the natural world. Allow this awareness to increase your consciousness. This is the gateway to enlightenment. The elements are the keys.
