Obsidian: “Protection – Root Chakra”
“Obsidian is a very protective crystal. It has appeared for you today to provide you with a grounded protective energy. Obsidian also reminds you of the importance of psychic protection. It is very important that you feel protected on all levels. To psychically protect yourself, imagine you are surrounded by a very strong bubble of golden light. The colour gold is used to keep your energy strong and it is extra resilient to lower energies.
To keep yourself physically protected when you are by yourself, take note of your surroundings. Always pay attention to any feelings or warnings that you may receive. If you have a bad feeling about going to a particular place, event or area, notice and acknowledge that feeling. Perhaps you can be extra cautious if you do go, or you can go with someone else or even reschedule if that is a possibility.
To protect yourself spiritually, surround yourself with as many positive people as you can. If there is someone who is quite draining or negative in your life, protect yourself with the gold bubble before you go near their energy.
Obsidian is associated with the root chakra. It helps remove negativity and restores your energy.”

Not everyone is ready to shift. This does not mean that we get to judge them, and it does not put us above them. In fact, it may be an integral part of their journey to experience exactly what they are experiencing right now. It is really none of our business. We can support them as best we can. We can encourage them if they are ready to be encouraged. We can hug them or hold them; or hold space for them. We can send love, light and healing to them directly from our heart center. But we do not get to parade around thinking that we are better, more enlightened, more conscious or more awake; for really, who knows? Maybe they are ahead of us and we have yet to experience what they are going through…. or maybe we have been through it and lived to tell the tale. Either way, it is their journey, and we can only accept them unconditionally. Which is our true Divine essence; the love and the light.
However, if you find that you are affected by the energies of someone else, there is a good chance that it is your ego kicking up a fuss. There is a good chance that you may be focusing on the darkness instead of the Light within. And there is a good chance that for some reason, dealing with this person brings up fears, doubts and all that other icky emotional stuff that you have tried so hard to deny as a part of you as a human. Alas, none of us are perfect. If you are affected by the energies of another, Obsidian is here to protect you with a shield of golden light. A bubble of energetic protection that absorbs negative energy before it can get to you.
But your work is not done. You must still send the Love. And the Light.
After all, is that not why you came back here?
And for the record, there just may be someone out there sending you love and light, while they wear their obsidian around you… just a thought~
