Daily Angel Oracle Card: Khonsu, from the Anubis Oracle Card deck, by Nicki Skully and Linda Star Wolf, Illustrated by Kris Waldherr
Khonsu: “Lunar Energies, Divine Timing, Blood Mysteries”
“Khonsu is a lunare god who appears with as many faces as the phases of the moon. Like the moon, he controls the tides and influences the weather. He is closely linked with Thoth, and like Thoth is seen as both the ibis and the baboon. Known as the Wanderer, he is a protector travelers and a measurer of time.
Khonsu brings spiritual nourishment to our bodies and our souls. He knows the exact timing in which we are ready to receive communion and “eat the flesh of the Gods” so that we may become as one of them. Khonsu works on our behalf to fertilize our minds and hearts wit the seeds of our own divinity. He engages the power of the moon to bring forth the healing rains that cleanse our old belief systems, and he renews our DNA at a cellular level. He governs the tides of the oceans and human emotions. Khonsu is a great healer, said to be able to exorcise demons. He does this by honouring, feasting and celebrating the diseases and they go away happy.
If you have chosen this card, the time is now to move forward in some situation that you have been hesitant about. It is also a favorable time for travel. Whatever movement is being called for, you may want to harness the power of ritual. Create a communion ceremony in honor of the divine being that you are. Acknowledge the journey you have completed that has prepared you for the new phase you are entering. You can do this spiritually or bring it to the physical plane by setting up an altar with food that represents the body of Earth and drink that represents the blood of the divine neteru. If you are in need of healing, honour the source of your disease, injury, or situation for the teaching it has brought you as you take in the holy sacraments.”*

This is the last full moon of the year and a powerful time to release, once and for all, anything and everything that has been holding us back. This is it! Beliefs, people, situations, limitations, blockages, all of it must go so that we create a clean and clear slate to move forward into the new year. A wonderful full moon ritual to participate in would be to write down what it is that you wish to release, get it really clear in your mind. Place the paper out under the full moon, with a small offering for Khonus. In the morning, burn the paper, or tear it up and bury it. Know that the power has been taken from the words and you are now free. Embrace a shift of perspective and decide it is so. You ultimately hold the power.
The other important aspect of this card which must be addressed is the idea of making peace and honouring our pain. Acknowledging the lesson, integrating it and releasing the trauma from body, mind and spirit. The same can be done for this, writing it down… although this time we can write a little love letter! Yes, strange as it may sound, we are going to write a short and sweet love letter to that which has caused us most pain. Whether it is physical dis-ease, mental, emotional… a broken heart, a disillusioned spirit, a body that needs healing. Only you know what truly resonates with you. Maybe all of those and more. Whatever it is, get out your pen and paper and write it all down. Express your gratitude and say good bye to this valuable lesson. Leave it outside with your first paper, under the moon, place a rose quartz crystal over it if you have one. Burn or bury it with the other and say a final good bye.
Now it is time to transform yourself and your life. Set your intentions for what it is that you wish to create. Write them down. Place them and the rose quartz under your pillow.
Know that anything is possible now
Namaste

Great idea for the full moon Dee! Very similar to the old ancient beliefs of Native Americans in releasing during a full moon.
