The Temptation: “Enticement, Wise Choices, Safety”

“The Temptation and Faerie go hand in hand. The lure of Faerie can be more tempting than anything else you will encounter. Resisting The Temptation may be more than you can bear. If you enter Faerie, do you eat the food? Do you follow the beautiful stranger? Do you trade your first born child for wealth, love or fame? How do you know when it is safe to give in to temptation? Who to trust? Who to believe? Maybe no one and yet, if you have been looking and listening and are aware of who and what you are meeting, you may be able to make the right choices. Stop and ask your heart what ‘feels’ right.

When The Temptation turns up in a reading look closely at it. Ask yourself what is tempting you at this moment that may not be a wise choice. Is it a relationship that you just know is wrong but you want it anyway? what are you willing to lose if you give in to this particular temptation? If this is the only card  you draw, make sure you know what the temptation is. If it is not clear, draw another card to help you. For example, if the card you draw next is the Queen of the Day, then you will be safe in asking for her help. If on the other hand, you draw the Queen of the Night, or the Prince of Shadows, then you may be even more tempted, but beware, they do not always have your best interests at heart.”*

You may not realize it quite yet, but you are undergoing a test. This test is to see how much you want what you think you want. Are you chasing your dreams, or are you getting caught up in your desires. What is the difference?

You know what your heart yearns for; what your Soul whispers to you… it is not something that can be satiated quickly. It is not about getting rich quickly, material acquisitions, or fast relationships. It will take time to get there, it will take some work. But it will be oh so worth the wait. If you are looking for a quick fix, or you are looking at the grass being greener somewhere else, think again.

This is not a time to compromise your dreams and ignore the signs and signals you are getting from the Universe. It is fine to be swept off your feet, but make sure whoever or whatever is doing it has your highest good in mind. It is easy to get off track and take what is on offer because you are impatient and tired of waiting for the real deal; or because you feel you are unworthy; or maybe it seems as if your dream has passed you by.

It is exactly the opposite!

Do not waste your precious time and energy on anything or anyone that is not absolutely authentic and honest. If they do not radiate truth, then you know they are simply not for you. Trust your intuition. Take your time. Use all of your senses. Be awake and aware. Let them prove themselves to you. You are more than worth it.
