The Horse King as Ally: “The Horse King always comes to lend you the power to go the distance, forging ahead whatever the weather. You will most certainly reach your perfect destination with this noble Ally. He lets you know that some person or circumstance brought through synchronicity will certainly appear to help you with your endeavours. You are not meant to go this part of the journey alone.

This is also an important time to delegate authority to others that they may assist you. Currently you are magnetic to powerful people who are in a position to help you make your dreams come true. The Horse King asks that you remain open to those who are sent to aid you. You can be assured that you will be lifted up and will ride high in victory.”

The Horse King as Challenger: “The Horse King wants to know why you think you can do everything all by yourself. Keeping control of everything around you is counterproductive and exhausting. You may lose an important opportunity if you insist on being stubborn. The Horse King is patient, however, and will wait for you to come to your senses and accept the help you need. You will not be able to reach your goal otherwise.

Yet The Horse King says that all it takes is a decision to jump on his back, ask for the help you need, and graciously allow yourself to be carried to your destination. Let go of control and amazing things can happen for you.”*

If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself right? Believe me, as single parent and entrepreneur I totally get this! Sometimes it’s easier to just get it done than spend the time debating who is going to do it and why they have to do it… it’s exhausting. Yet there is only so much I can accomplish in a day, and I will admit it, sometimes it’s more than I even thought I could pull off! And I must mention I do feel very blessed to have the support and assistance of my parents, which I realize that many do not have.

So this card is a gentle reminder that it’s time to allow ourselves to receive some help. Phew, what a nice concept! Assistance, yes please.

Sometimes you can receive assistance by not doing what you don’t want to do. Removing yourself from obligations and responsibilities that make you feel resentful and angry is the ultimate freedom. Of course we can’t get out of everything, but there are always one or two things that just really rub us the wrong way but we don’t speak up and do something about them. Take this first step and learn to say “no thank you!” to anything that makes your blood boil. Who needs that kind of stress anyhow! Hanging out with toxic people? Who needs that, no time and energy for that. In a damaging relationship? Good bye, thank you for the lesson. Over worked, under paid and super stressed? How can you streamline your life?

If you cannot imagine how help could possibly come your way, ask for assistance from you team of guides who are always willing to assist you. Ask that the right people be sent your way. Ask that the tasks that you just can’t complete will be taken on by someone who will do them joyfully… or at least do them sometimes so that you don’t always have to!

Surrender the need to control, to micro manage. Trust that things can get done without your hands always having to do them. Yes, it is possible.
