Spiritual Practice: “A spiritual practice will help ground your day. It may trigger observations that lead to life-changing breakthroughs and ideas.”

“There are many ways to maintain a spiritual connection through a committed practice. Ganesha is asking you to reflect on the benefits that may be gained by following a specific daily routine for your spirituality. This might include prayer, meditation, or an exercise schedule that connects the body, mind and spirit such as yoga or tai chi.

Additionally consider burning incense, which is often used to accompany prayers, invocations and spells in many cultures. As the incense smoke rises up to the heavens, it is said to represent the requests reaching their destination and meeting with approval from the Divine. Incense is also believed to have properties that dispel negative energy. Use incense or burn sage to create a special haven for yourself or to clear a sacred space in preparation for a special occasion or ceremony. The smell of incense can also bring about heightened spiritual awareness and realization for the user.

There are many tools and techniques that you can use through out your day to preserve or regain tranquility. Even simply taking a deep breath can restore a spiritual connection. Find what worlds for you and dedicate sometime to your practice each day.”*

~ By Angela Hartfield

I have mentioned many times that yoga has quite literally saved my life! It has brought me the sanity and peace of mind; centeredness and balance that got me through some of the most difficult times of my life to date. Daily practice. Being with  yourself, every single day is different. Every day something shifts, body, mind and spirit. Today is totally unlike yesterday and who knows what tomorrow holds. When you are in the hot room, anything could happen! I tell people that when my kids grow up and leave my nest, I will keep doing yoga. More and more yoga! I will travel and do yoga. I will go back to teaching yoga. I will happily step into a bubble of yoga that will guide me for the rest of my days.

I’ve put quite a lot of effort into my spiritual practices. I work a lot with crystals and grids. I write these posts, which gets me working with all the beautiful cards I have been blessed to work with. I read a lot. I listen to beautiful music. And yet I’m always looking for more ways to connect, more ways to heal, more ways to share. It always feels like there could be more, that there’s so much to learn. There is so much to weed through as well to see what feels right, what resonates with your heart and soul.

Commit to your spiritual practice in whatever capacity you can. Whatever feels right to you. Make an altar, learn a new form of exercise, expand your musical taste, get outside in the forest. Whatever connects you, whatever calls you. Talk to your angels and guides. Share your experiences with others, give them safe space to talk about their experiences too. Experiment with crystals, colour or energy healing modalities.

Disengage from the drama of life and get back to what matters most. Your heart and soul, your love and your light. Your biggest gifts to share.

Namaste

Wonderful post. It is nature for me. I live in a home at the edge of the woods with a creek running by. My walks in those woods are my salvation. We have a cottage on a quiet lake. That water heals my spirit. Nature is my yoga.
