Three Of Bows: “Fulfillment”

Card Description: “A robed figure stands at the junction of two ways, one hand raised in blessing, the other holding a bow. Two bow staves, make from freshly cut branches, trimmed but still rough hewn, stand planted in the earth on either side of the road, forming a gateway through which the figure offers welcome to the approaching traveler.”

Meaning Of The Card: “Nourishment from a spiritual source gives inner security and joy. Goals and desires are reached, making life rich with emotional scrutiny and a sense of completion.”

Reading Points: “The archer must be at one with the bow to fully direct its potential energy, and just as the arrow passes through the bow, propelling it to its target with effortless grace, the questing heart and seeker of knowledge allows the energy to flow through him. This combination of balanced energy and intellectual focus enables the mastering of any situation and allows your arrows to fly completes an unseen, universal circuit. The inner stillness and focus thus produced is easily apparent and observable to others, and builds a sense of trust, confidence and security in those for whom you are responsible. This inner shining energy will inspire others to start out on their own path of discovery and sojourn to fulfillment.”

The double serpents entwined represents the caduceus, the symbol of healing, life and spiritual wisdom. It is male and female energy in perfect balance. It is the spiral of DNA, our very makeup. It is the kundalini energy rising, chakras aligning, the body opening like a vessel connecting the Earth below to the Universe above. It is a very powerful symbol.

The man raises his hand in a blessing, palm raised to the sky. This also symbolizes the flowing of the reciprocal energy between heaven and Earth, above and below. His bow is lowered, a sign of peace. There is a feeling of momentum, his cloak flying behind him in the wind. He is a formidable figure, one to be honoured and respected. He stands before the world tree on what appears to be the edge of a cliff. Two trails wind on either side of the tree; signifying a decision to be made. The fact that his face is hidden and you must pass on either side signifies that the decision on which way to go is yours to make.

Which way will you go?

The Three Of Bows is a card of fulfillment. This means that the way you choose will be the one that most satisfies your heart’s desires. Only you know how to make this decision. All your resources are within you. You have everything you need in order to move forward.

Set your intention, follow your heart and let your intuition guide your way.
