Knight Of Wands: “The Knight Of Wands indicates change and progression towards a goal. He is an individual full of daring and passion. His spirit is ablaze with the fire that wands suit symbolizes and like fire, the bright, brindled fur of his lion mount and his fox attendants flash through the woods as they dart in a flaming entourage through the trees. The wind runs rippling fingers through his hair, and he laughs for the joy of that sensation and the power leashed in the muscles of the lion, bunching and stretching beneath him.

This knight is on a journey for adventure. Excitement flows along in his trail. He does not necessarily seek it, but his presence invariably spurs rivalry and conflict, perhaps because of his cocky and assured attitude and self-confidence. Sometimes his aggressive nature can be seen as being overconfident, too impetuous.

He is a knight with a blazing lion’s heart and the sparking cleverness of foxes, though not always the wisdom to match it. He recklessly rides crashing through the world, leaping from cliffs in heroic bounds towards his destination. Such a wondrously heroic sight to glimpse him as he passes! Destiny, faith, and the purity of his goal shine with an effervescent glow in his eyes, so that perhaps he does not notice the flowers he may trample along the path in his headlong plunge. Be wary of allowing the wild temper and flaming energy of this knight to cause discord and interruption.”*

Sometimes passion takes over. We can be impulsive in the name of inspiration. Usually it is what we feel as the first rush of love, or rather lust that starts this wild energy into motion. We get all caught up in it, ignoring red flags. Taking things too fast. The flame burns hot and bright… but it can also burn out quickly if we are not careful. Maybe we feel like things are ‘different’ this time around. The rules don’t apply. We throw caution to the wind and ride the wave of heated passion, all our hopes and dreams dangling before us like carrots on tenuous strings.

If we can just take a big deep breath and slow it all down a little. Get grounded. Think things through. Maybe there is a way to sustain our passion; instead of throwing gasoline on the flames we can tend to it gently, slowly stoking it into something manageable. Something warming, nurturing, and lasting. Or maybe this is just an adventure, one to get us to the next chapter. Maybe it is a lesson we have not yet agreed to learn. Maybe it is a chance at a new beginning. We can only find out by bringing back our presence of mind. Listening to our intuition. Taking things one step at a time. Not getting wrapped up in the what if’s. Not projecting our version of a future upon it. Giving ourselves a chance to see if it is real or if it is just mere fantasy.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun along the way! Enjoy this time. Enjoy how the passion and inspiration makes you feel. And if you are not feeling passion, know it will be here shortly.

Know that you cannot control another, you can only manage yourself. Your fire. Your heart. Your energy.

Listen, really listen to your heart and you will know the way.
