Zacharael ~ Surrender:

“Zacharael means ‘the remembrance of God.’ When you surrender, you are remembering that you are a fragment of God. Deep surrender opens the connection with your Eternal Self which is your personalized manifestation of an important aspect of God. The greatest illusion we face is that we are the small self of your everyday life. We get trapped into believing that we are the emotional baggage and images assemble from past experiences. Be willing to surrender the ego and its collection of small-minded, critical, negative beliefs that separate you from others and from the love of God.

The thought of surrender is frightening at first. If we have no experience with this, we can only relate to a feeling of helplessness and vulnerability. When there has been no personal experience of the presence of God, or recognizable answers to prayer, the concept of surrender seems dangerous. The power of faith acts to help you leap into the unknown. Your faith in the angels, a power greater than yourself, the ultimate truth, Jesus, or whatever is meaningful to you provides the bridge.

Gradually, one experience at a time, you begin to feel God, your Eternal Self or the angels in a personal way. You recognize their presence and receive answers to prayers. Your trust grows as you learn to communicate and feel their power. At times, you are united with your Eternal Self, bringing your desire for oneness into reality. You might also experience unity with others. In these moments, your soul rejoices for this unity quenches the thirst that nothing else will satisfy. Later, the energy leaves and your walls of separation return. Once more, you feel alone, abandoned and separate.

Surrendering is about choosing to tear your walls of separation down forever, to enter into eternal unity with God. No longer do you seek God to soothe your pain. The Almighty becomes your beloved and everything. Your prayer is, ‘Take me God. It is my will that your will be done in my life.’ You feel a tremendous amount of relief as you give up the fight to stay separate and relax into your Eternal Self. The suffering that was the result of resisting your destiny leaves and a surprisingly deep joy takes its place. You give up wanting your life to be a certain way and allow God to direct you. The big surprise is that you will end up with a far more incredible life than you ever could have imagined. The essence of your Eternal Self is BIG and your destiny will lead you to do big things! If the illusion of unworthiness holds you back, pray to see how it traps and holds you down. It is insidious the way it can infiltrate, weaving a tangled web that seems impossible to fight. At those times, your ego is trying to control the energy. Call to Zacharael to help you simply let go and receive the will of God.

This surrender is a razor’s edge. Your feelings are important and are your guide. Love would not have you surrender to be a puppet, being told everything to do. Those who make you feel less than you are, or insist that you must override your feelings to do as they say, are not acting from love. Your true feelings are your connection to God’s will for you. Sacrifice and suffering are the result of opposing that will and not the form of surrender that will take you to the truth. Sacrifice involves denying your feelings. It leaves you enraged at yourself and the person who demanded the sacrifice, leading you to experience guilt. If guilt has you believing that a certain behavior is expected, you may not even realize that you are angry. True surrender is good and feels like the world has been lifted off your shoulders. You never have to surrender that which truly belongs to you and fills you with life and joy.

Evaluate your life. Do you honor your feelings or sacrifice your truth as you submit to the control of your small self and your collection of habitual behaviors? Be willing to let go of your attachment to everything; your family, your friends, your children, job, home, stuff, activities. Everything in your Earth life is temporary. These attachments pull you down. This does not mean give everything away, leave your family and join the homeless. Just enjoy and use what you have without being owned by it. Find a new level of relationship with the people you love and care about. What is truly good for you is good for them.

As you learn to surrender, you will be filled with the eternal Love you crave, and gratitude will flow through you  in waves as the three Ascension Attitudes unite. Your mind opens to receive a wisdom beyond understanding. All your desires are satisfied; a oneness with others will emerge. You are not losing your self, you are gaining your Self, becoming who you truly are and finding everything or which your soul hungers.”*

Again we are reminded of the Universal Flow… that which we jump into and out of constantly. We desire to be in the Flow at all times, yet we swim upstream when we are not in alignment. Trying to force or control outcomes rather than Trusting in the process. Trying to control others rather than realize that we are only every responsible for ourselves; our own choices and reactions. Once we can let these old limiting habits and beliefs fall away, we are ready to co-create something new.

When things are not going as planned, we either panic or fall into victim mode. We get angry, frustrated and feel that we are being treated unfairly. We contract our energy, pulling it close to us in order to feel safe. In extreme circumstances, we even leave our bodies altogether and just let life happen around us, “to us.”

But that is not what we are being asked to do here. Instead of all that struggling, we are asked to have complete faith. We are asked to meet challenge with curiosity… “Interesting that this is happening right now, I wonder if there is something even better in the wings?” Instead of “I really wanted this particular outcome and will do everything I can to get it.” Yes, focus is good, and intention is great, but Trust is everything.

Your mantra must be “This, or something better.” That leaves so much space. So much room for something fantastic. Maybe this person looked like “the One” but they are just leading you to the one who is The One. Or maybe the timing is not quite right yet. Maybe this job seemed amazing but it was actually a vehicle to get you somewhere else. Maybe it is time to move, or to travel, or to leave a situation that is no longer in alignment with you… and you don’t want to. Or you are scared to death. But if you just go with it.. in time it will all make perfect sense!

Trust that the Universe is on your side. Trust that there is something amazing and wonderful on order for your life. Trust that you are worthy to experience it all.

And then, in the flow, surrender and allow yourself to receive it.
