The Dream: “The power of pure energy streaks in vivid colors behind a burning torch. Blue lightning bolts erupt to awaken one to the self’s own reality and vitality. Everything is as spontaneous as a spark igniting a blazing fire. Anything negative, anything that holds one back, can be burned away leaving a new beginning – our personal springtime. The Phoenix rises from the ashes. The flowers, above the stars at the base of the card, show this new growth with their plumes of smoke. The stars add the inspiration of the universe, where new worlds burst into being and comets race in blazing glory. This basic, unfettered impulse of life – the desire to experience the warmth of existence, consciousness, sexuality, enlightenment, and bliss – is like a club to break down the cold wall of darkness and non-being. Behind the wand is a shape resembling a club, the unifying background on all cards of The Enchanted Tarot’s suit of Wands.”

The Awakening: “In this moment, you feel alive, creative, and passionate. If you do not accept this instant when it arrives, it may be lost. Use your instincts in this time of impulse and enthusiasm. It is time to initiate new beginnings. Do not question your power to do so.”

The Enchantment: “Gather yellow and orange coloured flowers. Place them in a shallow clay bowl and set the bowl in a sunny location. When the flowers have dried, powder them with a pestle. Add a few drops of scented oil and burn the crushed flowers as an offering before one yellow candle. Repeat: “Power and passion are inspired. Fear and darkness are retired.”

January is starting off with a powerful punch of positive energy, what we need most right now to push ahead with our plans of passion and creativity.

Yellow and orange flowers represent the Solar Plexus and Sacral chakras, where our confidence, creativity, manifestation and self expression are most powerfully held. By working to activate these chakras we help to unleash the strength we need to bring into being our reality in the way that we have previously only dared dream. It is time to actualize our vision, our intention. It is time to make lasting change and step into the tranformation we have been craving.

This is a window of opportunity and must be treated as such. Just as the moon is only truly full for the night, the window will close again too. Refuse to stay in the rut that makes you miserable. Change what needs changing and do it now. Trust that this is the push that you need in the direction that your heart has been pulling you but you have been too fearful to go. Take the plunge, body, mind and spirit.
