Daily Angel Oracle Card: Presence, from the Chakra Insight Oracle Card deck, by Caryn Sangster, artwork by Amy Edwards
Presence: “Awareness, Attention, Reality, Connection”
“A path of miracles is unfolding right now, in this moment. You must be present to win.”
Card Story: “In the morning light of a spring filled forest, a young girl is drawn into the radiant presence of one of life’s purest creative forces – a honeybee in motion. With the sun on her skin and the gentle breeze filling her lungs, there is nowhere else to be in this moment but right here, connected the pulse of the natural world and her own true nature. In this space, she cannot help but smile from the very center of her being. This moment my last only seconds, but within this window, miracles abound.”
Card Message: “In the increasingly hectic lifestyles we lead these days, we are often lured by the pull of multi-tasking. While our hands and bodies are busy, the mind also tends to busy itself, wandering into the past, the future and everywhere in between. It has become extremely common (and in many cases acceptable) to be less than fully present in life. Amidst our daily activities, as we drive, as we work and even as we commune with friends and loved ones, we are often fragmented and distracted. In this state, we do not even realize the magic we are missing.
This card is a bold invitation to bring your presence back to the moment and to see what great gifts you are ready to unfold right here where you are. Practice catching yourself when thoughts or actions stray from your immediate experience. Become aware of your thought patterns and gently bring yourself back to the moment, with the knowledge that right now, you are right where you need to be.
Even when a situation genuinely needs to change, often the best first step is to bring our awareness back to what is. When we are busy putting all our thoughts and energy into the past or the future, we do not see the spiritual support and the blessings that are present in each moment. This card encourages you to gently bring yourself back from dwelling anywhere other than in the ‘now.’ By being fully present, we are able to recognize and utilize the guidance available to us.
Stop for a moment and bring your full attention to this present moment. Bring your awareness to your breath, to your body and surroundings. What can you hear and what do you smell in the air? What would happen if you brought to this moment your wholehearted presence?
Allow blessings and glorious new opportunities to flow into your life now… and be fully present to perceive and receive them. Affirm to yourself that you are right where you need to be in this moment, knowing that there are no limits to what the Universe can deliver through the doorway of your presence.
Be here now!”

‘Be here now.’ This is such an important message for us all. All of us could do with the reminder to pull ourselves back into the present moment. There is so much going on around us; too much most of the time. Work, bills, family responsibilities, home care, pets, and the number one waster of the present moment: technology. Busyness to the point of overwhelm and the habit of living a life of distraction just to feel like we can get away from it all.
But when we are living in this hamster wheel of craziness and busyness, we miss out on all the important things in life. We miss out on the connections, the love, the magic of the natural world. And that makes us feel sad and disconnected; isolated. Like something is missing. And we search for it. But we search in all the wrong places. We add more stuff, we buy stuff, we try to get away, we distract ourselves more, and we get more desolate. We think it is because we need something physical, we need to buy something, go somewhere, meet someone. And that starts the hamster wheel going even faster.
But if we can just learn to stop and jump off the wheel, we can find new meaning in the simple things in life. We can appreciate our loved ones more, and connect on a deeper level. We can immerse ourselves in the miracles of the natural world. We can learn to say no instead of living in overwhelm. We can make time for the things that make us happy, that lift us up, that ignite us. And those are often the simple things in life.
Commit today to practice mindfulness. To work on being in the present moment…. as often as you can. One little trick that works to bring yourself back into the now moment is to focus on your breath, following it through your nose and all the way down into your belly and all the way out again. Another is to gaze at the back of your hand (I’m not entirely sure why this works so effectively but we will just call it magic). Remember that the present moment is the most powerful time we ever really have. It is the time to set intentions. The time to focus our energy. The time to be receptive and the time to step fully into ourselves.
Master the art of being in the present moment and master your life, taking full responsibility for the shifts and changes that become available. Opening up to the Universal connection. And becoming the most powerful version of yourself.
Namaste
