Daily Angel Oracle Card: Gut Instincts, from the Chakra Insights Oracle Card deck, by Caryn Sangster, artwork by Amy Edwards
Gut Instincts: “Intuition. Knowing. Sensing. Trust.”
“In the center of your being is a quiet space of inner knowing. Still your mind so you can connect with the call of your instincts.”
Card Story: “Calm and poised, the lion knows who he is. He responds from the purest form of confidence – a deep sense of knowing. He knows where water is. He knows where to find food. He knows how to go to keep his family safe. He knows when it is time to rest, to play, to sneak, and to run. He does all this without thinking. Without doubt, question or hesitation. The lion is pure wisdom in action because he follows the moment to moment inner pulse of his being and the undeniable call of his instincts.”
Card Message: “Our gut instincts are our soul’s way of communicating and guiding us on the path of life. While our minds produce thoughts and rational interpretation of our experience, our instincts connect to a more sensitive, intuitive wisdom that often communicates through physical sensations in our bodies. This quiet nudge is our inner knowing, our connection with the Universe. It is always there if we stop to sense it. Do we follow its wisdom?
This card is a call to trust the inner feeling of your own gut instincts. The part of you that may not always seem logical or rational but nudges you with whispered guidance of what is right and true. Bring awareness to your feelings and physical sensations. Notice what happens when you act on your feelings… and when you go against them.
It is time to value the knowing wisdom of your ‘gut instincts’ more in your daily life. To pause for a moment before making purely mental decisions, and check in with the quiet inner voice of your body. The more you tune in to this aspect of your being, the more clearly it will speak to you and the more powerfully you will know how to respond.
Practice this in simple ways, as you travel through your day, allowing yourself to follow your instincts as you journey. Turn left when you feel to, even if you normally go right… go for a walk when the path calls, even if you think you do not have time to do so. You may not know at the time why, but by learning to trust these inner promptings, you will notice that life begins to flow more smoothly and you naturally find yourself in the right place at the right time doing the right thing… a lot more often!
Trust your intuition… and have the ‘guts’ to act on it!”

Where in your life are you living out of alignment? Where are you compromising? Where are you refusing to listen to your intuition, ignoring the voice of your Soul speaking to you?
Maybe it is out of fear. Fear of change, fear of rocking the boat. Fear of losing what you have, facing something new; or of getting out of your comfort zone.
Your intuition is one of your most powerful tools for guiding you through life. It can tell you if a person, situation or opportunity is for you, or too good to be true. It can tell you if something is not quite right and to slow down and pay closer attention. It can lead you forward or stop you in your tracks. And it is never wrong if you learn to tap into it and heed it’s wisdom.
Are you listening to your intuition? Are you using it as your GPS to guide you? Are you tuning in and really feeling it?
When you feel wary, there is usually a reason. Often it is your intuition telling you that someone is wearing a mask. They may not even be aware of their mask, maybe they have been wearing it for so long that they believe it to be their true face. Maybe you enter into a situation that suddenly doesn’t feel right and you aren’t quite sure why you feel it. Or maybe you are talking to someone and you get a few red flags, but you really want to ignore them because you don’t want to see the truth. Whatever it is, if you commit to listening and following your instincts, it will save you a lot of time and energy… and often money and heartbreak.
Learn to trust yourself. Stand in your power. Find your strength, courage and confidence. Make decisions that are for your Highest Good and the Highest Good of All involved. And do not ignore it when your intuition tells you to turn the other way.
