Eagle ~ Spirit: “Trust in your higher self.”

“When you live your life according to Spiritual Law, Spirit’s intent expresses through your personality easily and fluidly. Your light will shine if you only let it, and all that you want will come to you without ever needing to know how. To follow your spiritual path, your only job is to listen to and then heed Spirit’s directives, and your life will flow quite easily.

Your conscious mind is meant to be the receiver and transmitter of these urgings, translating the information sent from Spirit through pure awareness into the physical realm and decipherable communication. Since your ego’s willfulness can interfere and misdirect, you must pay close attention to discern which is which. Know that your higher self will only give you straightforward, positive, and encouraging support, whereas the ego’s voice will tend to be negative and discouraging. Let this ageless wisdom that is your spiritual birthright come through so that you may shine with light and love upon yourself, others and the world around you!

Your Soul is calling you, can you hear it? Are you listening? Movies and TV have made it seem that in order to communicate with Spirit, you must have the clouds part, lightening bolts strike or God come down from the Heaven’s and stand before you. This would be awesome, but I have noticed that Spirit is so much more subtle than that in my own life. I find myself thinking these recurring thoughts all of a sudden as if out of nowhere. They make sense, yet are completely out of context, having nothing to do with what I happen to be thinking or doing at the time. I will often notice them several times a day, and often over several days… although I am getting better at it now! This is where my messages from Spirit come from… thoughts in my own head, in my own voice, but ones that just don’t quite fit with the others. Often they are creative ideas that require me to go and make or do something. They may urge me to look something up or contact a certain person. They may be a confirmation on something I was previously wondering about… an answer that I seem to doubt or second guess until I see the “proof”… even though they always come true!

It’s ego that gets in the way… that and distraction of course! It’s a little more challenging to hear these thoughts with phones, tablets, computers, TV’s and wifi all around us. It’s definitely more challenging when we are always plugged in, and always subject to an onslaught of biased media telling us what and how we should think. It is also challenging if we don’t have any time to ourselves, are over stressed, over burdened with responsibility and have a tendency to get caught up in drama and worry.

Eagle is asking us to soar, physically and mentally. Shed the ego and get outside and just be. Breathe. Use all of your senses to fly up above the drama for a new perspective.

Would you like to hear what your guides have to say? Take a few minutes each day in silent contemplation. Ask for clear guidance and see what comes. It may not be a lightening bolt, it may not be an Archangel standing in front of you in plain view. But it may just be exactly what you need to hear to guide you on. And it may sound just like your own thoughts. With practice you will get better at hearing and you will get better at recognizing and deciphering the messages.

Know that if they lift you up, they are exactly what you need.
