Responsibility: “Self-discipline ~ Empowerment ~ Reliability ~ Fulfillment”

Card Story: “Cradled in the palms of loving hands, a sprouting seed rises up through the soil into the light of day. within this seedling is the growing vision of a great fruitful plant or tree. There will come a time when the steward of this seed will need to plant it into the ground for it to spread its roots and grow in full form. There will come a time for this seed of life to give back all who have nurtured it along the way. But for now it is safe here, being protected, and honoured by the one who was given the responsibility to care for it.”

Card Message: “Responsibilities and self-discipline are vital in creating all the things we want in life, from a healthy body and mind, though to a successful career and happy relationships. This card is an invitation to smile at the opportunity to fulfill your responsibilities.

Sometimes responsibilities feel like a burden, as though they take away our freedom. But we actually need some responsibilities to give us structure in our lives. By having this structure in our lives we end up having more freedom rather than less.

If we avoid responsibilities we are unable to learn the basic lessons of discipline and organized focus required to achieve our goals. We may drift from one relationship, home or job to another, repeatedly ending up in situations we do not want to be in, but not knowing why we ended up there.

Once we take genuine responsibility for ourselves we realize that the power to change is always right here within us. We stop blaming other people and external sources and we become self-empowered. From this place we find the strength, dive and energy to make the choices necessary to truly fulfill our desires.

Next time you hear yourself ‘blame’ someone for something, stop and ask yourself how you can take responsibility and help the situation. If you are unhappy in your job or relationship, what can you do to change it? If you need more money, how can you take responsible action towards this today? Only you can be responsible for you!

On the other hand, if you are overly responsible for others you may disempower them by not allowing them to take responsibility for themselves. We each need to learn our own lessons in life. To acknowledge our strengths and to learn from our challenges. Know when you have played your part and when it is time to let the seed grow on its own.

By taking responsibility for ourselves and embracing our responsibilities in life, we build a foundation toward a successful and fulfilling life. We become powerful individuals rather than dependent ones. We claim a sense of strength, freedom and confidence that comes through discipline and self-mastery. From this place comes the realization that we can create anything we went to this lifetime!”*

The good news is that you are one hundred percent responsible for creating your reality. The bad news is, if you don’t like your current reality, only you can take responsibility and change it for the better. If you resist this concept, there may be a little work to do around it.

Yes there has been pain in your life and possibly it occurred when you were too young and vulnerable to do anything to change it. Or maybe you have suffered a loss or great tragedy. This is not about belittling anything you have been through or are going through. My heart goes out to those parts of yours that are shattered, I have been there too in my own way. We all have pain. I get what you might be thinking… how could you have created that? Why would you have anything to do with it? Well, on a Soul level, for whatever reason, you came into this life with a specific lesson that you wanted or needed to experience. It may just be the most challenging one of all. It may not make any sense to you on this level of consciousness. It may cause so much pain that you refuse to buy into that and that is completely up to you. But if there is a shred of belief in there and you are willing to open up to it then hear me out. It’s just a theory.

What if we came in to learn how to overcome the worst of what has happened to us. To find a way to move past it and find peace despite it? What if the ultimate challenge is to create beyond what has happened in the past, and find a way back to our true authentic selves. To learn to choose love no matter what. To refuse to get caught up in the victim consciousness that gets us stuck in a downward spiral of negativity. To find light where there is darkness and be a beacon for those who are also struggling. To step into your soul purpose and do what you are destined to do.

Maybe you are working hard doing all of this in your own life and your message is to step back from someone who is draining your energy by playing out their own victim consciousness. You can be supportive but you do not have to be drained; it’s ok to distance yourself a little. We all have lessons to learn, and we can’t step in and live someone else’s life for them, even if we wish we could. Everyone has their own journey. Everyone of us has our own individual circumstances, experiences and lessons. We can all support each other, love and accept each other during our darkest times, but we cannot rescue someone who is not willing to put in the effort to rescue themselves. We can only hold space for them while they heal themselves.

Namaste
