Daily Angel Card: Seven Of Pentacles, from the Shadowscapes Tarot, by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law, artwork by Barbara Moore
Seven Of Pentacles: “She stands in the verdant garden that she has lovingly tended. She is the guardian dryad of the wood. She is a part of this place, this Eden of her own making. The peaches are ripe; a magical energy writhes in each lush globe. Peaches are a fruit of summer, of long days of relaxation. Their nectar is honeyed longevity. The sweet tang of their juice rolling over the tongue is like a visceral memory of summer.
To pluck them or not? The tattooed waves churn on her body with her speculation. She lays her hand on the fruit, ready to take it. It pulses faintly as if it contains the heart the tree, beating with the pulse of sap through the branches. Will these peaches still sparkle with that living glow once taken from the tree, or will they just become dull as the normal fruit in her basket?
The Seven Of Pentacles challenges you to make a choice: to eat and enjoy the fruit in the basket, or to leave them to flower and ripen and continue upon the branch? It is about reaping the reward for effort and work. The seeds have been sown; the time of work and waiting has passed. They have grown and come to fruition. Now is the moment to appreciate. It is a calm moment of consideration of alternatives and different approaches.”*

An opportunity is coming your way, will you take it? Maybe you are fearful that it isn’t for you, or maybe you feel that it looks too good to be true. Maybe you are worried that if you take this opportunity you will miss something better, and you should leave it and continue waiting for the next big thing. But yet will you miss out on it all if you don’t act now?
Seven is the number of life path, of truth and of seeing past the illusion. It is a number of confirmation and of forward motion; of infinite possibility. What is on offer here is actually more important than it may seem. What you choose will have long term effects in your life, shifting and changing your future. Will you choose the fruit, ripe and ready for picking? The peach symbolizes health, long life and even immortality. Or will you leave it on the branch for someone else to pick. If you leave it for too long it will ferment, drop off and fertilize the ground for something new… but you will need patience to wait again for it to come to fruition.
Be courageous, especially if you are normally not! Choose something different to create something new in your life.
Take a leap of faith.
Namaste
Dee
