Chakra Symbol Interpretation: “From the belly of the sun, emblazoned in golden light, emerges Manipura, our Solar Plexus Chakra. Ten yellow lotus petals form a circle, within which an inverted triangle stands, representing fire – the power of our inner fire igniting within us courage, dynamism, willpower and drive. This chakra houses the flames of our digestive fire – burning away like a furnace as it converts our food and the sunshine into life-force energy for the body. This chakra is a vortex of personal transformation. Awakening this internal fire, we rekindle our connection with the deep spark of light within… Our fundamental sense of self.”

Card Message: “Located between our navel and  sternum, our Solar Plexus is truly the ‘sun center’ of our being. It is the energetic home base of our self-esteem, will power and individuality. When we speak about standing in our power, we speak of feeling centered, strong and resilient within the core of our Solar Plexus.

This card is a call to ignite your inner fire, to breathe into the depths of your belly and to move with more strength, courage and confidence in the direction of your goals. Use your intellect an gut instincts to plan a path to achieve all that you desire. Harvest the power of your will to fuel your ambition until you reach fulfillment of your goals. Become aware of your personal power and your ability to choose the direction of your life

Imagine the light of the sun shining its energy through your individual movements in the world. There is no need to be boisterous, but equally now is not the time to hold yourself back. Shrinking your individuality in full form. It is time now to allow the expansion and expression of your true self. Shining self-esteem will empower others to ignite their flame also!

In the Northern Hemisphere it is mid summer and the Sun is high in the sky. The days are long and warm and the heat has an effect on all of us. Our own ‘sun center,’ the Manipura or Solar Plexus, is where our power lies. Located right at the base of the diaphragm, it is where our will, confidence, responsibility, personal identity and sense of self lies. The Solar Plexus is also part of our complex “GPS” system, our intuition. It will expand and contract to let us know if we are in danger, if we are making the right decision, or if something isn’t quite as it seems.

We are being encouraged to work with this powerful and very important energy center in order to expand our sense of self-worth, self-acceptance, and self-expression. When we expand this chakra it becomes easier to trust ourselves as we stand in our power. We take full responsibility for our lives, and accept that we are the creators we have been waiting for. When we focus on fully awakening this energy center, our powers of manifestation amplify exponentially. So it is very important that we are clear on what it is that we wish to create! Of course we don’t just focus on one chakra, but work to clear and align all of the chakras first, bringing them into balance. Once they are cleared, cleansed and aligned, we can work to expand those which we wish to work on additionally. For this time, we will focus on the Solar Plexus.

Use the image in the card to help you focus in on your own Solar Plexus. See it as a whirling, spinning wheel of bright golden yellow light. Clear any shadows or dark areas and imagine them filled with sunlight. As your Solar Plexus expands, set an intention for something that you would like to create. Focus on a thought form or perspective that you wish to incorporate about yourself and your abilities. Boil the thought down to one or two words and see yourself placing these powerful words into the spinning wheel of golden yellow light. See the word expand and encompass you in a bubble of light. Embrace the power of this word, the energy of it, and the way it bolsters your energy. Know that this will work with any word or couple of words you use to improve your life through your own beliefs and perspective.
