Daily Angel Oracle Card: Wheel Of Fortune, from The Enchanted Tarot, by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber

Wheel Of Fortune: “Cycles”

The Dream: “The ‘wheels within wheels’ that make up Wheel Of Fortune spin and turn just like the never-ending rhythms and cycles that make up our lives and the world we live in. A spin of The Wheel may bring unexpected luck, opportunity, and good fortune or it may present obstacles to our desires. The Wheel turns and some action from out past comes around to confront us. Is it Fate, God’s Plan, or Karma? Though there seem to be beginnings and endings, they are all part of the seamless circle of Life. Rising from the horizon are two puffs of smoke to remind us that, despite all the changes we go through, we are still nothing but the elusive spirit. The peacocks spreading their tails remind us of expansion and wealth. The gold coloured horse reminds us of the excitement of taking a risk. An eagle soars high above the wheel symbolizing the supreme feeling gained by reaching the top of the wheel. Above them all is a Sphinx with glowing eyes that see all the cycles, reoccurring patterns, and evolutions. She knows no one stays on top forever.”

The Awakening: “The turning Wheel of Fortune is a message that what goes around, comes around. You will reap what you have sown, thus you must think ahead and consider your actions whether you currently find yourself on top of the wheel or at its bottom. To avoid being ruled by Fate, take responsibility for your life and what happens to you. Take risks. Be open to a new or unexpected opportunity.”

The Enchantment: “During a new moon, light three orange altar candles and some incense, and let the air be filled with its sweet scent. Meditate on the Wheel Of Fortune, seeing its wheels spinning round and round. Chant: ‘Goddess of Fortune, please hear my plea, Goddess of Fortunes, please come to me.’ Know that by the full moon you will have good luck.”

Quick Read

Message: “You need to be as lucky as you are skilled, maybe even more so in this instance. Luck comes most often when opportunity, preparation and skill meet. Study the various arts and sciences devoted to cycles and timing.”

Outcome: “You will reap what you have sown. If you have prepared well and behaved honorably, this is a time of success. Knowledge of cycles increases your responsibilities. Luck is the meeting of opportunity, preparation, and skill.”*

This is an interesting explanation of Karma and of our shaping of our own reality: “Luck comes most often when opportunity, preparation and skill meet.” It puts our fate into our own hands, putting our Karmic debt into our realm of responsibility. This tells us that the seeds that we carefully plant and cultivate, or carelessly toss away and neglect all lead us to our situations both present and future. The past is the past and can no longer be altered, but it can be acknowledged and learned from. The present moment is where the greatest powers of manifestation lies. The future is the harvest of our intention, focus, emotion and action.

What seeds are you planting today with your thoughts, feelings, and actions? What can you do tomorrow for the new moon to solidify your desires. How can you create your own luck; using mindful preparation, your unique skill set and your commitment to self-belief?

There is the gift of opportunity here and it is yours. Gold, expansion, wealth, all yours. Plant your seeds now and know that they will sprout and grow in the time before the next full moon.

Namaste
