Daily Angel Oracle Card: Good Witch, from the Love Your Inner Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Alana Fairchild, artwork by Lisa Ferrante
Good Witch: “It is a time to use your words! Speak up for what you want. If someone is saying negative things about you, or you are thinking negative thoughts about yourself or anyone else, do not believe them and do not sink to that level by lashing out. Instead, speak the goodness of beautiful truth that you want to affirm right now. Use the positive power of your words, thoughts and intentions to override and replace the meanness, fear, hate or jealousy of anyone else. The goodness in you is more powerful than the badness in anyone or anything else.”
Spiritual Guidance: “You can create your own magic. You have a special gift for weaving loving spells of healing. With clear intention, channeling your emotional energy and using your words, you can create joy and happiness in your heart that touches the hearts of those around you. You are a Good Witch – and when you use your inner power to increase love in the world, your power will continue to increase. As we grow in power, we sometimes forget to use it wisely. We may use our power to speak ill of another, to persuade others into negative thinking through gossip or to allow our own insecurities to make us behave disrespectfully to ourselves or someone else. The Universe cannot uplift us into all that we dream of experiencing if we are using our power to pull ourselves and others down. It is better, and more fun, to use your power for loving and positive purpose, as you honour freedom of choice for yourself and others. The Good Witch is a wise with. She creates beautiful energy which others can benefit from if they so choose. Forgive yourself it you have lost your way, if you forgot your true inner power or tried to make someone else’s decisions for them. Let that go now and come back to your heart with peace and happiness. It is time to weave your loving magic in the world.”
Sacred Ritual: “Say aloud one thing or situation that you would like to create. Place your hands on your heart as you relax and imagine, feel, pretend or visualize that you are gently sending so much love, happiness and peace towards your desired creation. Then relax and let go.”*

For Kristen, not as advice, but as a message of love from a fellow Good Witch. This is a tribute to the Good Witch because you are doing all of this and you will inspire others to do the same… It’s not about scary labels, it is about the substance behind the silly labels. It’s time we came together and took off the masks. Call us Witches or Healers or Earth Angels or Shaman or Teachers or Starseeds or Lightworkers, Spiritual Warriors or just simply human beings we all came here for the same reason. We came here to wake up and to facilitate change. All of us playing a part. We came to transform this world from fear and chaos to love and peace. A formidable mission!
In a world of ‘fake news’ and twitter wars, we are certainly aware of the power of our words. Words can harm and words can heal. It is up to us how we use them. They can be used to purposely confuse, to side-step, to create illusion, to point fingers and to deflect responsibility. A whole lot of what we are seeing right now, everywhere we look, it is all around us.
We can use our words to stir things up and make much necessary but possibly uncomfortable change. We could use our words to harm someone; or we can choose to use them to uplift and connect. If we are not fully aware we can use them to spread fear and hate among any who will listen. It is all up to us, individually and collectively. And we all know this deep inside.
Using our words mindfully is key. Thinking before saying, writing or professing to know the situation of another. Speaking from the heart instead of the ego. Pausing before reacting. Taking it all in. Listening carefully and thinking even more carefully before speaking out. Gathering all the facts; taking other points of view into account with acceptance and respect. Always having the blessing of the choice to take the higher road. The choice to commit to the truth, to the possibility that there is a peaceful resolution if we can just stop and come together to contemplate it.
Words can start fires or they can diffuse them. They can embrace with warmth; giving hope, light and support in the hardest times. Or they can shun, reject, isolate and burn.
Choose your words wisely. Love yourself enough to give yourself a chance to think before you act. You cannot take back your words. Remember, you are responsible for yourself and your own belief systems, reactions, and judgments. Remember that you should never force someone to compromise themselves or comply to your wishes by attacking them with your words (or your body as we are currently learning elsewhere in the world). Take a few deep breaths and reconnect to your heart center, despite what is going on around you. No matter how much you feel triggered, no matter how much pain is boiling up to the surface. Reassess. Breathe. Remember.
You could choose to meet it all with love. Find a better way. This can feel so much more challenging in the moment and yet it really is so much easier and simpler than letting the fear and the hate take over.
Open your heart, open your mind and let your words heal, let them bring us together as One.
