Daily Angel Oracle Card, from the The Halloween Oracle, by Stacey Demarco: Nightsong ~ Hidden Talents

Nightsong ~ Hidden Talents: “A ruby red bird singing In the darkness full of sound like an unopened present ribbons still bound.”

“A bird singing at night is an unusual occurrence and those birds who are know as “singers of the darkness’ are almost always considered sacred – or frightening! From the operatic nightingale through to the hooting owl, hearing a bird that you cannot see weaving its magic through the night sky has captivated humans for millennia.

In the past, at Halloween time, a night that the veil between the worlds was said to be at its thinnest, these night birds were considered either omens or messengers of the gods. Depending on the culture, their voices were perceived as good luck and a positive validation or alternatively a warning about continuing on a certain pathway. In some mythology the night bird was able to direct us towards discovering our talents and true purpose – a kind of guide in the darkness leading us to the dawn.

Should this beautiful but shy bird sing to you by appearing during your divination, know that you must unwrap the present of yourself. Look! Some of the gifts within you remain unopened! The time has come to step into your true potential and claim all possibilities for yourself. There is no more time to waste. No more excuses!”*

Deeply hidden or previously denied gifts are emerging; it is time to go beyond accepting and embrace the true authentic you. If you have been shy or holding back on your true talents; treating them unattainable or as mere daydreams, things are about to change. If you are reading this and thinking that you have no hidden talents, or that you don’t feel talented, you have some work to do! Finding  your hidden talents is as easy as spending some time in quiet, uninterrupted, meditation and contemplation.

Ask your guides to assist you in your quest, they will be more than happy to oblige. When you ask your guides for help in this matter, resolve to remain open and aware to the messages, synchronicities and signs that will come to you after. The answers may come to you through repetitive thoughts, through a relevant TV show, a song, poem or flyer, your dreams, a suggestion or invitation from a friend, or a song on the radio. It will be something that catches your attention, sticks with you, and makes you think. When this happens, it is time to act!

If your hidden talent is something that you are not familiar with to start, take a class, workshop or course! This is a great way to meet new people and also to find alternate ways to branch out. I have often signed up for classes only to find that I knew most of what they were teaching, but yet took away the jewels of a new friendship, a direction to proceed in and a line on where to find the next step! You have nothing to lose by signing up for something new, if nothing else, it will broaden your horizons and teach you about what you don’t want to pursue! Have fun with it!
