Time

Earthly Meaning: “Bitterness or frustration over plans gone awry.. Feeling it is too late, that you have missed out or that things are not happening quickly enough. Comparisons lead to a sense of failure or lack of joy. Pining for youth or lamenting time lost through unwise choices. Set a priority or release yourself from anxiety by weighing up what will really matter in a week, a year or a decade.”

Spiritual Meaning: “Feelings, memories and emotions rise and fall in the ocean of your heart. Like flotasm, they are surrendered to the shores of consciousness. A space clears and fills with light. The ocean in your heart is but a drop in the waters of creation, beyond the boundaries of time and space. Immersed, weightless… let it go; be free.”

Insight: “Our beautiful planet is timeless. Earth does not know what day or millennium it is. The calendar we follow means nothing to her. The calendar you follow is but one way of capturing the passing of time. It is a construction – a filter through which we perceive our age or measure our progress through life. The sunrise does not wait for an alarm to ring. Life is not measured by ticks and tocks. How old would you be if you did not know your age? If there was no such thing as too early, too late or one day, would it change how you see yourself? There are not expectations of where you should be right now… no milestones, no losing, no winning any race. Time cannot impede the turning of the tide, the changing of a season, or the birthing of a star. Outside of time, this moment is forever – forever is now. The illusion is lost. Be whole, be present, be timeless.”*

There is so much pressure on us to remain youthful no matter our age or life experience. Youth is valued above all else, even above material possessions. Many cultures have revered their elders, putting them in a place of authority and respect, taking care of them, learning from their ways. But in the modern world beauty rules. Many of us have based our self worth on whether we are still found attractive; whether we have retained our youthful appearance.

And it’s time to move past that old, outmoded, patriarchal way of thinking. It’s time to move inwards, release all those old regrets and perceived losses or setbacks and move forward regardless of what we have been through.

I love the old saying “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” And if we were to truly live our lives by this, how would they change? Would we decide to break out of old ruts and routines? Would we say goodbye to past pain and trauma that we have been holding on to for far too long? Would we decide to take a few chances, create something brand new?

In each moment we have the choice to create more of the same or something completely different. In each moment we have the opportunity to raise our frequency and attract what brings us joy, abundance, health, peace or whatever our hearts most desire. It is up to us to manifest our reality around us, breath by breath, thought by thought and feeling by feeling. No regrets.

And so it is
