Reflection, from the Sirian Starseed Tarot Card deck, by Patricia Cori and Alysa Bartha

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Reflection, from the Sirian Starseed Tarot Card deck, by Patricia Cori and Alysa Bartha

Reflection: “In this first cycle of earthy reality, Starseed has learned the essentials of existence in form:
~The magic of manifesting form
~Higher self and the inherent wisdom we bring through our karmic record
~The flow of energy in all its boundless expression
~The importance of structure in the creative stream
~Spiritual guidance
~The giving of one’s self to love
~The power of right mind over the senses
~The meaning of true strength

At the end of this first cycle (I-IX), it is time to rest and reflect on all that has been learned. It is time to ruminate on the wisdom of Starseed’s passage thus far.

To achieve the silence to contemplate such important lessons, Starseed is guided to go into a sort of hermitage, far from the distraction of people and events, and back to the quiet of nature, where the greatest truths lie.

At a time when human kind is bombarded with all manner of noise and distraction via our personal interactions, technology, and media, the path of the hermit can be the remedy to restoring peace in the mind and soul.

Associated with Reflection are the words hermitage, silence, contemplation, meditation, stillness, and peace.

When Reflection appears in a reading, the querent might consider the following: ‘Am I able to silence my mind and reflect on the situation at hand? How am I quieting my mind to contemplate the higher truth? Am I able to be still and listen to my inner voice? Do I need to get away, to find the guidance I need in the situation? Have I matured from what I have learned? How am I behaving like a hermit to those who seek my attention or guidance?”*

~ By Patricia Cori and Alys Bartha

The transformation you are going through may create some friction in your life. You may find that you are no longer in alignment with certain relationships, occupations or lifestyle choices. Things that once appealed to you no longer hold your attention, and truths that you may have chosen to ignore are now too glaringly obvious.

This can cause fear and discomfort. It can cause people who are close to you to object. It may cause judgment and it may even cause rejection. Try not to take it to heart, it is all part of the process.

It is time to reflect back on whether there were times in the recent past that you saw evidence that you had outgrown a particular situation and yet felt unable to deal with it. Maybe you were afraid to hurt someone; or you were afraid your financial situation wasn’t strong enough for changes to be made. Maybe you felt obligated to someone or something. Or maybe you just chose to ignore it out of fear of the new, the unknown.

But now you do know it, and this knowing comes from deep within. There is no hiding from this knowledge. There is only opportunity for change.

Use the reflection to see the truth. Use it to make positive changes; necessary changes.

Use it to change your external world to match your internal world.

Page Of Cups

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Page Of Cups, from the Shadowscapes Tarot, by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law artwork by Barbara Moore

Page Of Cups: “She delves down through the waves, seeking to be alone and to find a peaceful place to contemplate her own thoughts.

She brings a cup with her. It brims with the captured essence of sunlight from the world so high above her own. It contains the tiny sparks and flashes that have drifted down to the sea bed in bits of golden coin or in the stray shaft of sunlight that manages to pierce through the fathoms. All of that is distilled into the precious contents held in her hands.

She lifts the cup underneath her face, feels that remembered warmth of the sun’s kiss upon the wave tops. The heat spirals out through the water with tendrils of peace and tranquility. The radiance sparks her thoughts and her imagination. She feels her mind begin to set adrift, and her visions fills with dreams of the fantastic.

The Page Of Cups is sentimental. She is a true romantic at heart, and in a world that is filled with so much noise and bustle, she longs for the time and space to simply breathe and to truly take in the pleasures that abound. She listens to the still voice from deep inside that speaks with understanding and intuitions, and she longs to believe in the impossible.”*

~ By Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

This is a card of contemplation but it is also a strong message of your advancement in manifestation ability. You have reached a new level of creation energy, can you feel it? It is up to you what you create and you must be aware that if your thoughts are weighted down by worries, doubts and fears, you will likely manifest more of the same. If you are using your energies to focus upon what it is that you desire to create, then this too is readily available to you now.

What  is it that you wish to create?

What are you turning your lead into right now… more lead or pure gold? Up to you. Always was, always will be…

The cup in the image above is golden, a sign of prosperity, of confidence and of self worth. All this is available to each and every one of us. If we choose to raise our vibration to match it. Do you see her serenely focusing her intent on the content of the cup? There is no struggle here; there is also no distraction. Only focused intention. Concentrated energy. There is a certain knowing here too, faith and trust in the process, and inner peace and harmony. Gaze again at the image, take that in as your own vibration. Feel the shift happen. The spiral is a representation of birth/rebirth, growth and expansion. The spirals above can signify the ever expanding nature of your conscious awareness and what is truly possible. The sun symbolizes the creation, life force, energy and light.

Anything is possible, if you decide to create it.

Charity

Charity, from the Keepers Of The Light Oracle Card deck, by Kyle Gray, artwork by Lily Moses

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Charity, from the Keepers Of The Light Oracle Card deck, by Kyle Gray, artwork by Lily Moses

Charity: “Prayer and Contemplation”

“Connect with heaven. Ask and you shall receive.”

About Charity: “Faith, Hope, and Charity are a trinity of Archangels who are dedicated to helping us regain our natural traits of kindness, trust and faith in the highest good. Charity is the twin flame of Archangel Chamuel. She has a great spirit that encourages us to undertake the spiritual practices of prayer and meditation. Prayer is the way we speak with the divine and meditation is the way we open ourselves to receive the answers we need to hear. Charity is also the angel who kisses the forehead of all those who pray in support of others.”

Extended Message From Charity: “The powerful Archangel Charity is drawing close to you at this time because she has recognized that you have goodness in your heart and you have put others first. She brings you thanks and support. Move into prayer and meditation with regard to any decisions you have to make at this time. You are being guided to take the time to breathe and to receive. Know that you will have a real surge of intuition when it is time to move forwards. Thank the angels for guiding you towards your highest good, and welcome Charity into the space with you.”*

~ By Kyle Gray

Such a beautiful, gentle, loving energy is coming through from Charity, can you stop for a moment, focus on her image in the card and connect to her presence? When your heart feels heavy, she is beside you. When you feel that you are doing your very best, for the Highest Good, and things are not moving forward yet, or not going the way you intended or wished for, she is with you. When you need a helping hand to lift you back to your feet again, embrace you in a warm hug and tell  you that everything is going to be Ok, she is there for you. Just ask.

Create some time in your schedule to be alone, undisturbed. If possible, bring some dark pink roses into your living space in honour of Charity. Light a white or fuchsia candle. Use the card image or another image of Charity that resonates with you. You may want to burn some rose incense or use rose or tuber rose essential oil. Place a ruby or pink tourmaline in the sacred space if you have one. Place these items together, creating an altar where you can sit in front of them. Start by taking a few deep breaths. Set your intention for connecting to Charity now. You can write it down and read it out loud, or speak it. Ask a question or ask for guidance in making a decision. Sit quietly, eyes closed and listen, staying open and receptive. Imagine Charity standing before you, radiantly surrounded with pink and white light. See her show you the answer to your prayer, see her offer her guidance. This may come in colours, sounds, pictures, words or feelings. Be receptive to the healing or guidance you get, accepting it graciously. If you do not receive immediate guidance, ask that you receive very clear signs, symbols and messages in the next twenty four hours, or during your dream time. Thank Charity for her assistance, and know that you can come back any time for extra help. Take a few more deep breaths and come back to the room. Open your eyes and gaze for a few minutes at her image, the candle or the flowers. Bring your palms together in front of your heart and know that there will be a significant moment of change and resolution is coming to you now.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Enlightenment, from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Card deck, by Tori Hartman, Illustrated by Gretchen Raishch-Baskin

Enlightenment ~ Topaz: “If I seek peace, I must embrace my fears”

The Legend: “Topaz is a renowned spiritual teacher. People travel to hear his wisdom. He is journeying up a mountain to seek private counsel with the Great Servant when a young boy stops him. The boy asks, “If enlightenment is to be found in my own mind, how do I get there?” The moment before he disappears into the mist, Topaz replies “Through your fears.”

Inspiration: “At this time your journey is more important than you destination. Remember, if you face your fear, you will grow stronger. Relief awaits.”

Personal Inquiry: “My thoughts always drive my choices. How can I use my thoughts to heal myself?”

Key Ideas: “Path to enlightenment; the reluctant sage; taking time alone to connect; trusting your intuition; needing solitude; time for reflection.”

Key Words: “Support, Courage, Confidence”

Meditation: “Write down three fears, then close your eyes. Imagine these fears staying with you always. Then imagine them, one by one, walking in faith alongside  you. Stride through the Garden of Fear and allow them to sty behind. What is more painful, keeping your fears or releasing them? The choice is yours.”*

~ By Tori Hartman

Have you ever stopped to ponder the saying “There is nothing to fear except fear itself”? Have you ever stopped to wonder if fear is like a habit that we have taken on? One that stops us from moving forward, like most bad habits do; one that keeps us from getting enough sleep, wrecks our peace of mind, and generally causes more trouble than it’s worth?

How many times have you been forced to live through your worse fears coming to fruition? And yet, here you are, reading this, so I am going to assume you survived it and are here to tell the tale. So my question to you is: Did worrying a whole lot about it or staying frozen in fear help you when you were in the thick of it? Did it prevent you from having to live through each moment? Or could you have faced it regardless of all that extra energy you put out on it. Have you ever wondered if maybe it would actually have been nice to just go through it the one time, instead of all those other times in your head first?

I know it might be tempting fate to ask “What’s the worst that can happen” so let’s just start out by scratching that one, like forever. How about asking the Universe “What is the absolute best outcome for everyone involved here in this situation?” and go from there? Why be conditioned to always expect the worst? Maybe (well, definitely but since we are releasing fears I don’t want to scare anyone!!) if we put it out there that things could go totally off the rails… they will. And maybe, if we release all that limiting thinking and decide to project the best possible outcome for the highest good of all, we can become a magnet to that instead.

Go ahead and practice. Start with the little stuff and work up from there. Try smiling and laughing and dancing while you do it, it speeds up the process and gets those amazing results pouring in just a little bit faster.

And so it is… not scary at all

The Sage

The Sage, from The Faeries' Oracle, by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

The Sage, from The Faeries’ Oracle, by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Sage, from The Faeries’ Oracle, by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

The Sage: “Wisdom ~ Hidden Knowledge ~ Retreat ~ Old Age ~ Patience”

“The Sage is also the shaman. Not all wise men are shamans and not all shamans are wise men, but this one is both – power informed by wisdom and wisdom made manifest by power. This is also the face of Father Time and we see the colours of the seasons surrounding him. Sometimes, he is Old Man of the Mountain, the hermit who searches within for wisdom and understanding, and then is willing to share it with any true seeker who comes to him.

His “blind” eye enables him to look into other worlds, other realms, and the wisdom buried deeply within each of us, where the Singers dwell. He has reached a stage of life where he has let go of many of the activities of younger beings, retreated somewhat from the outer world of Faery, and inner vision, contemplation, and spirit. On the exterior, he lives simply, almost austerely, but his inner world is filled to overflowing with richness.

In order to pursue his studies more thoroughly, the Sage has cultivated detachment. Some may see this as remoteness or coldness, but he is no less loving for that. The Sage finds the inner connections between everything. He sees the connections, relationships, and consequences between seemingly separate ideas, beings and things.

Love and compassion are the inevitable consequences of seeing truly, and this leads the Sage to share his learning with others. Like any other wise elder, he leads by gently teaching from his vast store of wisdom. When asked for his judgment about something, he is discriminating and generous-hearted. He turns a blind eye to punishment, feeling that what is needed is mercy and a way of teaching those who err so thy will not make the same mistakes again.

The Sage is constantly learning. While on the one hand he values tradition and stability, he also understands and values the need for growth and change. He can’t go for a walk or a flight around the neighborhood without discovering something new and trying to see how it fits into the Whole. He is always expanding his understanding of reality and deepening his awareness.

As we develop patience and compassion intertwined, we begin to manifest the wisdom of the Sage.”

“Here we see wisdom and deep inner understanding. One of the keys of wisdom is to organize, integrate, and simplify one’s thoughts. Complexity often leads to confusion, simplicity is to be valued. This card signifies mental discipline informed by balanced learning and compassion. Tradition is valued but appropriate change is accepted. The Sage knows when to let go and when to move on. He knows when to retreat and think things over. He compassionately and wisely shares his knowledge with others, teaching by example as well as by precept. The scales of justice are balanced in the Sage’s hands. This card in a reading also signifies the need for deep consideration and refined judgment applied with compassion and mercy.”*

~by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

Today is a day to observe, rather than a day to press forward. The truth you have been seeking lies before you; yet you are not seeing it as you search frantically for it. Peace and calm are called for; come from a place of balance and inner harmony. Focus inward and listen closely to your intuition, as it has all the answers you need. If you are getting an answer that is not pleasing to you; and then seeking confirmation over confirmation to try to control the outcome… let go and surrender. You simply may not be able to control this particular situation.

Ask the Sage for help, but be sure to leave an offering to show your respect. Then, once you have your answer, accept it with grace and move forward, releasing confusion and distraction as you do so. The Sage will grant you clarity; before you ask, take a few deep breaths and center…. then be absolutely sure you are ready to receive the answer you seek.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Snow Leopard, from the Messages From Your Animal Spirit Guides Oracle Card deck, by Stephen D Farmer

Snow Leopard: “Take some time out from your usual life and spend it in solitude.”

“It can be difficult these days to spend time in solitude – to unplug, get off the electronic grid, and find a quiet place in or near Nature – yet is is so important to do so at this time. Turn off the phone, computer and television, if only for a few hours. Although you may feel a little anxious and restless when you first do so, these feelings will pass. Use this time for contemplation and meditation. It is not isolation; it is solitude. Solitude is a conscious and loving choice to be alone for a period of time, while isolation is a habitual and reflexive coping pattern to avoid discomfort and intimacy. If possible, take a full day by yourself, and just do whatever you feel like doing. Whatever length of time you spend in solitude, be sure to write as often as you can in your journal.

If you should feel guilty or anxious about the thought of doing this or even while you are actually doing it, use your breath to help you to relax. As much as you possibly can during the period of alone time, remind yourself to breathe and relax. Whenever you notice your breathing becoming shallow, take three or four slow, deep breaths and watch how your tension and anxiety dissipate. enjoy the feeling of having the sacred space of solitude surrounding you. And remember: You are never really alone.”

Associations For This Card: Solitude; Self-reliance; Balance: Silence: Stealth: Confidence; Determination; Perseverance; Containment; Sensitivity; Intuition; Reliability; Mysterious; Integration; Shamanism.”*

~by Stephen D Farmer

It’s time to unplug again for a bit, gain some perspective. We are so over stimulated, and overburdened, stressed and overwhelmed. It’s all part of the conspiracy. Keep us so completely distracted; keep us from connecting to the Divine. Yes, the electronic world has it’s place, but balance is vitally necessary. We must have both: the natural, spiritual connection to Mother Gaia and all of her creations; and we must have a way to communicate information faster and faster as we accelerate our awareness and consiousness. How else will we achieve One World being?

But for now, we must unplug from the phones and ipads and ipods, computers and games and televisions… and get outside. Reconnect with the elemental energies; fire, earth, air, water and ether. Reconnect with the Earth, her trees and plants and creatures; birds and animals alike. We can learn so much from our animal spirit guides, but we may not be able to hear them over the din of text messages, Youtube videos and Facebook messages.

Sometimes we just need to get out there and breathe. Touch the trees. Tilt our faces up to the sun. Feel the breeze on our skin. Dip our toes in the water. Walk barefoot upon the Earth.

It’s the best medicine there is. For body, mind and spirit.

Lake ~ Stillness

Lake ~ Stillness, from the Earth Magic Oracle Card deck, by Stephen D Farmer

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Lake ~ Stillness, from the Earth Magic Oracle Card deck, by Stephen D Farmer

Lake ~ Stillness: “The subdued pastels of the early morning light quietly announce that the night is over and the sun is rising. The lake itself has not awakened from its rest and remains still and undisturbed. It welcomes the coming day, ready to respond with grace and fluidity to whatever currents and movements appear in its belly or upon its skin. The surrounding vegetation thrives from the abundant water near the shoreline, and the unoccupied boat lies in wait for its next passenger. All is at rest in this scene.

It is in the deep, internal stillness that we find our Being and come to know that we are intimately united with all of Creation. To achieve this mindset, we must slow down once in a while and get away from the surroundings that interfere and distract our inner tranquility. When we do so, this profound stillness is available at all times, regardless of the environment. We can experience this sensation with steady, conscious breathing; or we can simply pause for a few moments and be still.

The tempo of life these days has sped up considerable, and there seems to be no end to this quickening pace. Immersed as we are in the technological whirlpool, there seems no escape. However, there is no need to be a prisoner to the “hurry up” syndrome, nor is there a need to feel trapped by the awareness of the collective intensities that massive numbers of humans are experiencing these days.

No matter if the noise is from your environment or your seemingly nonstop thinking, it is critical for you to seek stillness. Find it in your world, whether it is a special place in your home or a place in Nature that is far from human made noise. Of particular importance is finding it inside yourself, which can be made easier by being in a quiet place in a natural setting. Doing so not only relaxes your mind, but also heightens your awareness and senses.”*

– Stephen D Farmer

Water symbolizes the emotions and a lake, to me, could symbolize deep emotions, but also a large surface area. You may be feeling bombarded from every side right now. Trying not to spread yourself too thin, yet so much to do and each moment seems accounted for before it even happens. This is when overwhelm kicks in and we can find ourselves feeling overemotional… about things that we may not normally feel emotional about.

It’s vital right now to commit to carving out some time to just Be. Just breathe. Take a break, even for a few moments at a time to put things in perspective. How many of these issues are just drama, and what is the root of it all, way down in the depths?

Take a few breaths and imagine yourself, barefoot, at the edge of the lake in the picture above, or your favourite lake. Close your eyes and breathe in the smell of the lake; misty, dewy and fragrant. Feel the trees, the plants and the animals all around you, lending you their strength and stillness. Take a step forward and put your feet in the lake, feeling the cool, crisp, invigorating water all around your feet. You might decide that you want to keep walking and eventually swim, or you may contemplate your reflection in the lake, asking it what you need right now, using it as a window to your higher self. Whatever feels right to you. If you are swimming you could dive down into the surprisingly clear water, feeling young and free and energized. Amazed at how long you can hold your breath for, or maybe finding that you can breathe under this water, you swim deeper and deeper, feeling completely safe and secure. Down at the bottom of the lake, there is a message written in the sand, just for you. As you get closer you can read it as the sun beams right down into the water. What is your message? Send a blessing to the lake, and gratitude for the message, and begin to leisurely swim back up to the surface. As you swim up to the surface, you realize how much lighter you feel, for with each kick and each stroke, you shed some of the stress and worry that has been weighing you down lately. All transmuted into the lake, in exchange for this new lightness of being. You break through the surface feeling like a completely new person. Revitalized, replenished, capable, strong and liberated. As you reach the shore, you know that this lake is always here for you, always willing to assist you to process any of the emotions that feel heavy or dense. Looking back at the lake, you lift your palms to the sky and take a few more long, slow, deep breaths. Knowing in your heart that this you are transformed.

Smiling. From the inside, out.
