Crow: “Communication ~ Truth ~ Story”

The Gift: “Crows are great messengers, problem solvers, lock pickers and tool users! When one Crow solves a challenge, others in his family watch closely and learn… then they spread the word to other groups. Crows form close friendships with many different animals, they love surfing the wind, sledding in the snow and playing games with sticks. Crow’s pure black feathers are a symbol for great spiritual strength in many native tribes.”

The Message From Crow: “Crow is the protector and the messenger of your unique story in life. When he visits you, he comes to help you move from one life “chapter” to another. He stands at the doorway and asks you what you have learned and why you are ready to begin something new. He asks you what is the purpose of your new journey? What do you really want? Do not be scared. Crow asks you these things with a smile because he knows this is a special time and he has come to help you celebrate what you have achieved so far and to help light the way for what is next! Welcome!

The Call: “Next time you come to the end of one season, activity or project and are getting ready to start a new one, Crow invites you to take time to pause in between. Write down or talk about everything that you have learned and what you are thankful about, where you have been, and to say very clearly from your heart what you are now ready to do and  who you are ready to be in your new chapter. Listen for Crow’s “caw” as you walk outside. He will always help guide you when you begin something new!”*

We spend so much time chasing carrots. We catch some of the carrots, mostly little ones along the way… sometimes even big ones… and yet we don’t stop to savour the moment of victory… we just keep going, keep chasing, keep pursuing. What we don’t realize is how powerful those moments of enjoying can be. We don’t realize that by celebrating each small victory, we pave the road to more of the same with grace and ease. When we keep going in hot pursuit, we tell the Universe the same message over and over again… this isn’t enough… this isn’t enough… I’m not enough… what I am chasing is still far from me… I must keep going and going and going! Phew! No wonder we are all so exhausted and overwhelmed!

Take a moment to communicate with crow. Crow doesn’t miss a thing; Crow sees every little detail, from every angle. Crow never lacks confidence, and crow never misses an opportunity. Crow is crafty and quick thinking; he sees the lesson and moves on. He knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it. Crow knows his heart and follows it with curiosity and freedom.

Learn to appreciate Crow by closely observing him. See him as he sees you. As an equal; a conscious being on this planet, an integral part of the Universe; connected to Spirit just as he is. Ask that he assists you in seeing opportunities coming your way. Ask Crow for definitive answers… to me, a big “caw” from Crow can shed a lot of light on a situation or person I’m wondering about. You decide whether a caw means “yes” or “no” and go from there. Crow will know exactly how to assist you… if you are open and receptive to his assistance.

Crow ~ Law: “As a creature of the Void, Crow is believed to exist in the past, present and future simultaneously, to embody darkness within light and light within darkness and to watch over all the worlds and dimensions from all viewpoints in chorus. She makes little distinction between right and wrong, but acknowledges the necessity for the existence of both. Without them, we would not learn the lessons afforded by choice.

According to legend, when Crow appears, she is challenging our perceptions while daring us to follow her deep into the Void, into our consciousness, to strengthen our principles and our relationship with Spirit. Crow encourages us to seek the wisdom found in the inner silence and to ponder our actions and reactions to life. We inherently know the difference between right and wrong. Crow asks us, therefore, to trust our judgment and make the most sensible decision when one is required.

Her appearance generally heralds a sudden but necessary change, a wake up call or a lesson in self-discovery.

Crow is one of the sacred keepers of universal law and the custodian of ancient records. She espouses the law of three; the understanding that whatever we do will be returned to us threefold, that it matters not what we do in this life so long as our actions bring harm to none. She reminds us that all our actions are recorded and, although karma appears patient, it is often ruthless in its delivery. To understand these laws and to live by them with the purest intent, we see us exit this life and journey to the next with a clear memory of our previous life and the lessons learned during that time.

If Crow has flown into your cards today, listen to your instincts and act upon them in a way that honourably serves your purpose. Treat others as you would like to be treated, never expect others to do what you should do yourself and never act in a way that may cause harm to another. Breaking these simple rules will see the strong-arm of spiritual law slam down the karmic hammer.

You have all the wisdom and knowledge you need within you to make the right decision. Call upon it now and you cannot make a mistake.”*

Karma is a powerful force. You don’t want to mess with it. I have seen karma at work and it is interesting to see that most often, people are unaware that they are living their karma, even though it may seem so obvious to an outsider. Karma will often serve up the exact same situation for someone as they have put someone in. It is not about the details, it’s about the emotional impact. Losing everything that is important to you. Think Harvey Weinstein. You want something so you take it. And it comes back to bite you in the end.

Karma is not an issue when you are working from a heart centered space. It is not an issue when you are setting the intention that any action or resolution be for the highest good of All concerned. Karma can be kind too, but it works best when you are not expecting anything in return.

Crow is here to remind us all to do the right thing. Take the high road, even if someone else is not. Do not lower yourself to anyone elses’s level. Rise above the drama. Even if it looks as if you might lose something over it. Know that as one door shuts, another one opens. And what is behind that door is directly related to how you handle the situation.

Lead with love, no matter how challenging and you will always win.

Live by the threefold law with each and every choice you make.
