Wheel Of Fortune

Wheel Of Fortune, from The Enchanted Tarot, by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Wheel Of Fortune, from The Enchanted Tarot, by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber

Wheel Of Fortune: “Cycles”

The Dream: “The ‘wheels within wheels’ that make up Wheel Of Fortune spin and turn just like the never-ending rhythms and cycles that make up our lives and the world we live in. A spin of The Wheel may bring unexpected luck, opportunity, and good fortune or it may present obstacles to our desires. The Wheel turns and some action from out past comes around to confront us. Is it Fate, God’s Plan, or Karma? Though there seem to be beginnings and endings, they are all part of the seamless circle of Life. Rising from the horizon are two puffs of smoke to remind us that, despite all the changes we go through, we are still nothing but the elusive spirit. The peacocks spreading their tails remind us of expansion and wealth. The gold coloured horse reminds us of the excitement of taking a risk. An eagle soars high above the wheel symbolizing the supreme feeling gained by reaching the top of the wheel. Above them all is a Sphinx with glowing eyes that see all the cycles, reoccurring patterns, and evolutions. She knows no one stays on top forever.”

The Awakening: “The turning Wheel of Fortune is a message that what goes around, comes around. You will reap what you have sown, thus you must think ahead and consider your actions whether you currently find yourself on top of the wheel or at its bottom. To avoid being ruled by Fate, take responsibility for your life and what happens to you. Take risks. Be open to a new or unexpected opportunity.”

The Enchantment: “During a new moon, light three orange altar candles and some incense, and let the air be filled with its sweet scent. Meditate on the Wheel Of Fortune, seeing its wheels spinning round and round. Chant: ‘Goddess of Fortune, please hear my plea, Goddess of Fortunes, please come to me.’ Know that by the full moon you will have good luck.”

Quick Read

Message: “You need to be as lucky as you are skilled, maybe even more so in this instance. Luck comes most often when opportunity, preparation and skill meet. Study the various arts and sciences devoted to cycles and timing.”

Outcome: “You will reap what you have sown. If you have prepared well and behaved honorably, this is a time of success. Knowledge of cycles increases your responsibilities. Luck is the meeting of opportunity, preparation, and skill.”*

~ By Amy Zerner and Monte Farber

This is an interesting explanation of Karma and of our shaping of our own reality: “Luck comes most often when opportunity, preparation and skill meet.” It puts our fate into our own hands, putting our Karmic debt into our realm of responsibility. This tells us that the seeds that we carefully plant and cultivate, or carelessly toss away and neglect all lead us to our situations both present and future. The past is the past and can no longer be altered, but it can be acknowledged and learned from. The present moment is where the greatest powers of manifestation lies. The future is the harvest of our intention, focus, emotion and action.

What seeds are you planting today with your thoughts, feelings, and actions? What can you do tomorrow for the new moon to solidify your desires. How can you create your own luck; using mindful preparation, your unique skill set and your commitment to self-belief?

There is the gift of opportunity here and it is yours. Gold, expansion, wealth, all yours. Plant your seeds now and know that they will sprout and grow in the time before the next full moon.

Sisters Of The Seasons

Published April 16, 2018 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Sisters Of The Seasons, from the Wisdom Of The Hidden Realms, by Colette Baron-Reid artwork by Jena DellaGrottaglia

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Sisters Of The Seasons, from the Wisdom Of The Hidden Realms, by Colette Baron-Reid artwork by Jena DellaGrottaglia

Sisters Of The Seasons: “When the Sisters Of The Seasons meet you on your path, they remind you that everything has a natural rhythm that obeys a higher law. Just as the seasons magically pass, be reminded that the nature of birth, growth, harvest, and decay cannot be altered. So if you keep on your path with determination and discernment, allowing for the natural course of events to unfold, success is assured.

Divine appropriate timing is guiding your desires into perfect manifest form. This is a very good period to start new things, as you have moved out of winter into the beginning of spring. Continue with patience, and be aware of the rhythms of your opportunities. There will be periods when things slow down and begin anew, move into fruition, and then slow down again in a never-ending natural flow.

Be mindful of which Sister greets you, for she points directly at the next. Every moment counts now.”

Sisters Of The Seasons as Challenger: “The Sisters Of The Seasons send you a warning that you are trying to jump the gun and go from winter to summer without paying heed to spring, or skip from summer to winter without allowing for the possibility of autumn. Moving too quickly, looking for shortcuts, and artificially trying to prolong a hoped for result will not yield what you desire. There are no shortcuts. It is time to rethink your plan.

All four Sisters Of The Seasons are Nature’s cherished daughters, and all are important. Be careful of the difficulties they force you to endure when you try to trick them away from each other. Better to let Nature take her course. Her daughters will be very happy, and so will you if you let them express themselves in order.”*

~ By Colette Baron-Reid

This message is about being methodical, patient and thorough. It is about making a plan, taking action and sticking with it. It is about practicing mindfulness each and every day. A plan like saving money or losing weight… you can’t skip to the end result, you must go dollar by dollar or pound by pound.

We want the end result so badly sometimes that we will do almost anything to skip the actual work and just get to it. We might decide on a ‘get rich quick’ scheme or a diet pill instead of clean eating and exercise. It seems so much faster and easier but yet it is not. It is like walking a tightrope; one false move and we are gone.

Have patience and take your time. As stated above, every moment counts. Half the battle is in your head, where your ego natters relentlessly that there must be an easier way. There is not. Follow the path, do the work and know that you have everything you need to make your dream a reality. All you have to do is commit to the process, one step at a time.

Mani

Published January 29, 2018 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Mani, from the Viking Oracle, by Stacey Demarco, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Mani, from the Viking Oracle, by Stacey Demarco, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Mani: “Time is precious. Be grateful for each passing minute. Using time well is a virtue. Be mindful of how you use your time – which may mean doing very little, if that is of benefit.”

“A circle
Within a circle,
The whirling wheel.
By nine times three,
I measure my life,
I gather my magic,
I shine my light,
Waiting for Fenrir
To open his jaws.”

“Mani” is both one name for the moon as well as the name of a god within the Norse cosmos closely connected with the moon. In the Poetic Edda, it was told that Mani was the brother of the goddess Sol (the sun) and was fathered by Mundilferi (time). It is unusual in any mythos for the moon to have a masculine association. With Mani, we may have the origins of the man in the moon. Both Sol and Mani were seen to circle the earth each day in a chariot.”

‘Mundilferi is he who begat the moon,
And fathered the flaming sun;
The round of heaven each day, they run,
To tell the time for men.’

“The Vikings told time by the moon, not the sun. The twenty-eight day moon cycle was a reliable timekeeper. Also, being seafarers, they were aware of connection between the cycles of the moon and the tides – especially around peak tides of the full moon. Incredibly competent navigators, they relied on the position of the moon, as well as the planets and stars to guide them on their voyages.

In the Eddic poem ‘Grimnismal’, when Thor asked the dwarf Alviss about the names for the moon on the other worlds, Alviss said Mani is called the ‘moon’ by mankind; ‘the whirling wheel’ within Hel; ‘fiery one’ by the gods, ‘the hastener’ by the giants; ‘the shiner’ by the dwarves; and ‘the counter of years’ by the elves. Mani, as a creation of the Aesir (gods) was consumed by the wolf Fenrir at Ragnarok (the end of the world cycle).

Within the Norse tradition, Mani is a keeper of time and cycles. When we receive this card, we are reminded that time waits for not one and that time is precious. To the Vikings, whose life expectancy was so much shorter than ours, to waste time was to waste life.”*

~By Stacey Demarco

Using time wisely is a valuable skill. We don’t realize until later in life that one of our most precious resources is time itself. We don’t realize how much we waste of it, and we don’t realize when we are wasting it how quickly it goes… never to be replaced in this lifetime.

Do you use your time wisely? Do you use it with mindfulness and focused intention? Do you allow for rest and recovery, nurturing of the body, mind and spirit? Do you value yourself and your time? Do you realize that the most valuable gift you can give your loved ones is quality time together?

Of course one of the most dangerous of time wasters these days is technology when not monitored. Social media, television, video games to name a few. Binge watching episode after episode of whatever catches your fancy. Escapism at it’s best. Comparing ourselves to others. Worrying that we may not measure up. Jealousy, envy, despair. Media, the news, the fear mongering. Politics… yikes worse than a horror movie these days.

Remember to unplug. Remember to be grateful for what you have. Remember not to get all caught up in other people’s lives. Or fantasy.

Get outside. Spend some time in silence every day; meditation or contemplation. Self heal. Cultivate self love. Reconnect to your loved ones.. eye to eye, heart to heart. Listening, laughing, removing the distractions for a time and just being. Intimacy. Fresh air. Exercise.

Live life organically, not vicariously.

The World ~ Culmination

Published January 22, 2018 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

The World ~ Culmination, from The Enchanted Tarot, by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The World ~ Culmination, from The Enchanted Tarot, by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber

The World ~ Culmination

Quick Read Message: “You need to attain a degree of understanding that enables you to graduate to a higher level and enjoy real success. This rare time of culmination must be identified and honored. As the old cycle ends, inappropriate habits must be left behind.
Outcome: “You will soon attain a degree of achievement and understanding that enables you to graduate to a higher level and enjoy rewards of a physical, mental and spiritual nature. Savor this time of culmination. You have earned it.”

The Dream: “The Earth, divine mother of us all, evolved from the stars and materialized into reality. On her naked body, we dance the dance of life just as she dances through the cosmos. We have assumed our place in her temple, the Earth we must return to in an everturning cycle. When you are aware of being in tune with the universe, you then know how everything has its own seasons, rhythms, and cycles. But in our dimentional world these things not only come around in full circle but are part of a spiral carrying us ever outward and upward in our evolution and growth. Our world, too, is evolving and growing, for on this journey we are united in the joy of movement. As we learn the limits of our small world and of our physical nature, we are reminded that we are caretakers of the Earth’s body as well  as our own. The Spiritual Journey is one of going within and finding our essential harmony with all that there is. When we attain the knowledge of who we really are, we gain The World.”

The Awakening: “By uniting and balancing your inner harmony with the skills you have learned in life, you can achieve real success. Hard work is demanded to attain this, but material rewards and inner peace can be yours. You must see your life in the context of the world before you gain the knowledge you seek.”

The Enchantment: “Form a circle with a group of friends. Hold hands. Slowly move in a clockwise direction, dancing and swaying to this chant: “Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. The World is dancing, dance for all.” Complete the circle twenty-two times. Close  your eyes. Visualize the Earth in the center of your circle, bathed in white light, receiving the love and the healing energy from your group. Know that we are all blessed caretakers of the World.”*

~ By Amy Zerner and Monte Farber

The World card is one of endings and beginnings. Sometimes the cycle is so close, one blends right into the other seamlessly. And sometimes, there is such a huge difference between the two it can knock the wind right out of you.

The World is a graduation of sorts. A rite of passage has been accomplished and it is time to move on to the next level. All that you have been though, all that you have experienced and all the lessons learned have culminated into guidance for where you are about to go. Choose your direction wisely, for anything is possible for you at this time. Acknowledge lessons learned and use the knowledge wisely; avoiding repetitive patterns and habitual decisions.

Get out of your comfort zone. Stir up the energy by doing things differently, making new and courageous choices. Live a little… live a LOT!

Strive to gain a higher perspective; understanding the concept of being IN the world, but not OF it. Not wrapped up in the drama and the emotion, but sovereign in your power.

A beacon of light on this planet that needs it dearly now.

And so it is

Seven Of Earth

Published October 10, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Seven Of Earth, from the Dreams Of Gaia Tarot Card deck, by Ravynne Phelan

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Seven Of Earth, from the Dreams Of Gaia Tarot Card deck, by Ravynne Phelan

Seven Of Earth: “Meditation, Grounding, Connection, Cycles, Change, Interaction, Purification, Stress”

Key Phrases: “Get out into nature. Let Gaia heal you. Connection between self and the world. All is connected and has influence. Address the stress. Meditate and still your mind. Put down the tech toys. Time to physically interact and connect.”

Meaning Of The Card: “The Seven Of Earth symbolizes a need to both nurture and maintain a connection between spirit, self, and the world around you. Ground, integrate, and connect.

To feel and embrace this connection does not require any belief in the Divine, but a simple awareness that all is connected on an energetic level. At this time, look out into the world to see, feel, and understand the cycles of life and nature and how they affect and influence you.

Over time, life and day-to-day demands may begin to wear away at us, making us irritable and reactive … less adaptable and flexible … more fearful of the changes going on within us, and around us. All of these things can make us feel alone and disconnected.

The Seven Of Earth symbolizes the importance of connection and being part of the natural world, but also the need to address areas of potential stress in your life before they become a problem.

It is time to meditate and still your mind. Make a habit of taking time to sit and meditate in nature, and allow all the stress to flow out of you and into the earth. Breathe deeply and allow yourself to relax and become one with Gaia and Great Spirit. Reconnect. You do not have to believe. Just allow yourself to be still, at peace, and free of the impurities and worries that cloud your sense and good judgment.”

Potential Blockage: “It is often easy to become focused on one aspect of our lives to the exclusion of all else. This can result in a real disconnect from the world and life that goes on around us.

We are all part of the world, and yet most of us spend over 90% of our time indoors, secluded and closed off to both nature and real physical interaction.

Are you missing out? Has  your world become a very insular place consisting of home and office? Do you now do the majority of your socializing and human interaction via phone or computer? When was the last time you were out in the world connecting with others in a tangible manner – without looking at your latest piece of tech every five minutes?

Seven Of Earth as Challenger signifies a need to step away from technology and reconnect with family and the community at large in a mindful and present manner.”*

~ By Ravynne Phelan

Today we are beckoned towards a deeper level of connection through ourselves to the natural world. Unplug. Ground. Breathe. Plant yourself in the present moment. Take a much needed break from the information highway, the daily routine. Get outside. That’s an order!

Take stock of your current stress level and what the causes of this stress are. How can you streamline? How can you release some of the stress before it becomes overwhelm? Do you need to ask for assistance? Delegate tasks that are weighing you down? Are you feeling disconnected? Isolated? Overburdened? Alone?

Heal yourself by aligning with the rhythms and cycles of the outside world. Look to Mother Nature; where she is at is where part of you is at too. The phases of the Moon; the position of the Stars in the sky; how much Sun we get in a day… it all contributes to how you are feeling. The weather, the foods available at this particular time to harvest. What you need to wear in order to keep you warm or cool. It all makes a difference. Listen to your body. Nourish it well. Exercise it. Hydrate it. Align it with nature rather than the man made world. Make space in your mind and in your heart for peace, calm and harmony.

Take breaks from people and situations that feel draining or toxic. Schedule some time for yourself every day, even if only for a few minutes of deep breathing or meditation. If possible, get outside for a walk, take a yoga class or express your creativity. Find ways that resonate with you to ground and realign with your life’s purpose.

Ehwaz

Published August 15, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Ehwaz, from the Viking Oracle, by Angela Hartfield, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Ehwaz, from the Viking Oracle, by Stacey Demarco, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Ehwaz: “Take speedy action. Open yourself to the power of flow. It benefits us to work with the rhythms of the natural world. Equine-assisted therapy may be of comfort to you. Eat seasonally available foods and notice the particular energies of each season. We are not our past.”

“The wind, it works its way
Through my hair, a crown of ink.
I smell its direction.
I feel its sway.
My legs, they hold
To the warmth of fur,
The bellows of breathing.
Together,
Forward,
now.
I am Ehwaz.”

“Ehwaz (pronounced, “ay-waz), is the rune of the horse, and it tells us of the importance of flow, rhythm and the gaining of momentum over time. Good riders adapt their bodies and minds to the rhythm of each of their horse’s gaits: walk, trot, canter and gallop (or, in the case of Icelandic horses, their special gliding ‘tolt). In doing so, they become one with their steed, bringing grace, ease and a deep connection between human and horse.

Ehwaz suggests we bring this same sensitivity to our everyday lives. That, rather than resisting the flow, we adapt to – even enjoy – the rhythm of life as we move with it. For example, we can align with the changing seasons, withdrawing with the introverted nature of winter, and setting forth new plans in the fertile spring. Even the foods available differ from season to season, and scientists agree that eating seasonally is better for the health of our bodies.

Ehwaz is also a rune of the now, not the past nor the future. It reminds us that by being where we are and enjoying the fullness and completeness of this present moment we create a more mindful and enjoyable future.”

Ehwaz as Challenger: “Stop resisting. What is is. What has happened is done. Accept it and move on – wiser for the experience and with a positive outlook.”

Element: “Water”*

~ By Angela Hartfield

Yesterday we were day-dreaming our desires into reality, today we take the action necessary to make it happen in the physical realm. We don’t resist change but go with it. We don’t hold on when we need to move forward because we trust in the Universe and ourselves. In this way we take a hand in creating through action, one small step at a time.

Horses are powerful and intelligent animals. They deserve our respect and we can learn as much from them as they are willing to teach us and we are willing to learn. They possess a beauty and grace that we as humans have always been drawn to. They can be strong and loyal allies if we treat them with reverence. They can be wild and free, fast and playful; and they can be still and silent, aware, watching. Many of my friends talk to their horses as if they were people, and you only need to look that horse in the eye to know they are fully aware if unable to answer out loud! There are medicine horses here too; ones that understand energy, chakras, auras and healing. They are a rare and amazing gift to those who work with them.

Let the energy of the horse drive you forward with all your grace and power. For the highest good of all. Gallop forward boldly towards your dreams.

And so it is

~ By Rachelle Charman

Moonstone for the full moon, one of my absolute favourite stones and one that I often choose to wear. It is a stone of the Goddess and Divine Feminine energy, protective yet connecting and opening us up to our full potential. The Rainbow Moonstone in particular is one of the most beautiful and powerful stones you can wear to amplify your feminine powers of receptivity and intuition. It is also extremely complimentary to our “rainbow body of light” helping to heal and energize all the chakras and meridians on the body.

Today take a few minutes to see where you are at with the cycles of your life and honour that space. Be sure to be mindful of your body and how you are feeling physically; listen to your body and give it what it needs: maybe more rest; more exercise or stillness; time in nature and fresh air; more nutritious food; energizing or soothing music. Listening to your body, mind and spirit and working with them in harmony will help you to make the most of your energy during the various cycles of your life.

If you can, get outside tonight and spend some time in the light of the moon. How does it make you feel? If you have a moonstone, wear it and feel it’s energy amplified under the full moon. Set your intention for the next lunar cycle; where would you like to be this time next month? How can you set your focus and intention to take the steps necessary to get there? How would it feel to be where you desire to be? Use visualization to inspire you to make any necessary changes and have the courage to follow your dreams, while surrendering to the natural cycles of ebb and flow of your life on this beautiful planet.
