Seed Of Life: “Beginnings Of Change”

“The Seed Of Life shape is six circles or spheres that complete one full rotation around one circle or sphere. This geometric configuration forms a beautiful six-petaled flower. It is sometimes referred to as the Genesis pattern because the Book Of Genesis says that creation was formed in six days. The Seed of Life is a key to understanding the expansion of new energy, information, and light as it enters consciousness.

Pulling this card marks the beginnings of change in the progression of your inquiry. You have left the security of the center, of home, of the known, and you are seeking a new way of looking at the world. In so doing you have begun a pilgrimage that will lead you to a greater understanding of who you really are. Your has become the path of a seeker. You are beginning an adventure that may become the passion that will fuel your life’s work.

There is much information entering consciousness at this time. Listen to messages from your Higher Self, and especially take notice of how synchronicity is at work in your life. Pay attention to what attracts you. The more you tune yourself to the workings of Spirit, the more you will be led to discover what you need to know to create your dreams and visions. Take heart, and know that you are at the beginning of an exciting journey toward self-actualization.”*

When we hear the word “change” we almost always look around us at our external world, wondering how that change will look. Will I lose my job? Change careers? Move homes? End or begin a relationship? What will the change bring? What form will it take? There is often an aspect of anxiety with the way that we approach change, as if it’s a wild animal that must be tamed or a new person that we are not sure can be trusted. We feel guarded, wary and even a bit on edge.

Yet, this message is one of shifted perspective, the very root of change. It’s about the deep changes that start at the very core of our being, those that happen when we have finally let go of all the old belief systems, blockages and limitations and made space for the light. It it about lightening up, quite literally… vibrationally, physically, mentally. Body, mind and spirit. It is about stepping past old blocks with a smile and a deep knowing that things are different now, that anything really is possible. All that old stuff was just smoke and mirrors; it was never really holding you back. Only we can hold ourselves back. Only we can decide to move forward.

It is about releasing the old and embracing the new, and what better day to do it but the very first day of a brand new year, full of possibility?

In the seed of life lies everything that is, was and will be. Step forward to claim what is yours fearlessly; with peace and calm; grace and ease.

Change is upon us, can you feel it?

Ehwaz

Ehwaz: “Take speedy action. Open yourself to the power of flow. It benefits us to work with the rhythms of the natural world. Equine-assisted therapy may be of comfort to you. Eat seasonally available foods and notice the particular energies of each season. We are not our past.”

“The wind, it works its way
Through my hair, a crown of ink.
I smell its direction.
I feel its sway.
My legs, they hold
To the warmth of fur,
The bellows of breathing.
Together,
Forward,
now.
I am Ehwaz.”

“Ehwaz (pronounced, “ay-waz), is the rune of the horse, and it tells us of the importance of flow, rhythm and the gaining of momentum over time. Good riders adapt their bodies and minds to the rhythm of each of their horse’s gaits: walk, trot, canter and gallop (or, in the case of Icelandic horses, their special gliding ‘tolt). In doing so, they become one with their steed, bringing grace, ease and a deep connection between human and horse.

Ehwaz suggests we bring this same sensitivity to our everyday lives. That, rather than resisting the flow, we adapt to – even enjoy – the rhythm of life as we move with it. For example, we can align with the changing seasons, withdrawing with the introverted nature of winter, and setting forth new plans in the fertile spring. Even the foods available differ from season to season, and scientists agree that eating seasonally is better for the health of our bodies.

Ehwaz is also a rune of the now, not the past nor the future. It reminds us that by being where we are and enjoying the fullness and completeness of this present moment we create a more mindful and enjoyable future.”

Ehwaz as Challenger: “Stop resisting. What is is. What has happened is done. Accept it and move on – wiser for the experience and with a positive outlook.”

Yesterday we were day-dreaming our desires into reality, today we take the action necessary to make it happen in the physical realm. We don’t resist change but go with it. We don’t hold on when we need to move forward because we trust in the Universe and ourselves. In this way we take a hand in creating through action, one small step at a time.

Horses are powerful and intelligent animals. They deserve our respect and we can learn as much from them as they are willing to teach us and we are willing to learn. They possess a beauty and grace that we as humans have always been drawn to. They can be strong and loyal allies if we treat them with reverence. They can be wild and free, fast and playful; and they can be still and silent, aware, watching. Many of my friends talk to their horses as if they were people, and you only need to look that horse in the eye to know they are fully aware if unable to answer out loud! There are medicine horses here too; ones that understand energy, chakras, auras and healing. They are a rare and amazing gift to those who work with them.

Let the energy of the horse drive you forward with all your grace and power. For the highest good of all. Gallop forward boldly towards your dreams.

And so it is

Poseidon: “Flow”

“Expect a greater flow of creativity, ease or prosperity. This card is a siren call to protect and enjoy the stunning oceans of the oceans of the world.”

“As gentle as a lagoon and as destructive as a tsunami, Poseidon is one of the greatest gods of the Greek pantheon. One of the sons of Cronus, he rules the sea. His brothers, Zeus and Hades, rule the sky and the underworld, respectively.

He was beloved and feared at the same time. Sailors in the ancient world often made sacrifices to him before a voyage, and fishermen took part in great seasonal rites to appease him. Some rites were as straightforward as singing to him in a storm, while some sailors and fishermen traced his trident upon the shore before entering the sea. Yet other rites were bloodthirsty, matching this god’s violent power.

The essential, defining feature of water is its flow. Poseidon controls the flow aspect with great power. Call upon him when you need a flow of anything in your life, but in particular creativity, abundance, fertility or prosperity.

In modern times, we need to protect the sea more than ever. We have caused many imbalances in our oceans through over fishing and pollution. We need to call upon Poseidon for his help in protecting this domain. Today many organizations linked with the sea use his symbolism. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society uses the trident as a symbol on its flag as they protect whales and other sea creatures from death.

Surfers, sailors fishermen and anyone who has a deep love and appreciation of the ocean would do well to communicate regularly with Poseidon. He is said to protect his own and will give secrets of the sea to those who honour him. Knowing which surf break is going to be the best or how to perform well while sailing is a secret worth having!”

Shadow Side: “Poseidon is notoriously changeable. Whole armadas of battleships were lost if Poseidon was not on their side, and he would exact quick and lethal revenge if he so chose. Too much flippant change around emotions can lead to drama. It is important to be as balanced in our feelings as possible. While going with the flow is good, being too changeable can lead to instability and not being able to make good decision.

Pay attention to how flow is playing out in your life at present. Be aware that hanging on to a grudge or an imbalance will interrupt the clean flow to what you desire.”

Symbols: “Trident, dolphins, horses”

We cannot control the ocean, we can merely surrender to it. We can go with its cycles, it’s ebs and flows. When caught up in a current, we must ride with it, or we will exhaust ourselves. When things are going well, we can ride the wave. The ocean is a lifeline to our planet. It is filled with an abundance of life. It demands our respect. But it needs our love and care also.

Spending time close to the ocean is healing. Feet buried in the sand, breathing in the salt air, wind whispering… or screaming through your hair. The negative ions help to relieve us of our stress, reset our bodies, calm our nervous systems.

There is magic in the ritual of drawing or writing your dreams, wishes, prayers, creations and manifestions in the sand with gratitude and intention; asking the ocean to bless them and deliver them to Source. It activates co-creation with the Universe.

You could ask Poseidon for his blessings also. Maybe leave a small offering for the mermaids of a shell, crystal, flower or something organic.

Koala

Koala: “Calm ~ Imagination ~ Ease”

The Gift: “Koalas are not bears. They are marsupials, meaning that they carry their young in a pouch. When they are born, Koalas are only as big as a jellybean! The joey (baby Koala) stays in his mother’s pouch for the first six months, then rides on her back until he is ready to venture out on his own. He has two thumbs on each front paw to help him climb, grab and hold. He communicates with family and friends with a special “bellow” that sounds like someone snoring!”

The Message: “Koala is calm and peaceful in everything he does and this is his call to you. When the world rushes and people hurry, it is easy to think that we should hurry too. But sometimes when we rush we make mistakes and then we have to take even more time to do things over again. Koala’s message is to slow down, take care of yourself and take your time to do things right. Calm, focused effort is more powerful than trying to do everything at once. Koala smiles and says breathe deep, enjoy this moment and the gift of doing one thing at at time! Even if that one thing is taking time to rest (Koala sleeps for up to 20 hours every day)!”

The Call: “Koala’s call of this week is to become a mighty force of peace and calm in the world! Wow! That sounds like a big mission! How do you do this? Simply by taking time to bring peace and calm into your own life. Do things you love, do things that make you feel calm, happy and relaxed and you will naturally bring this energy into the world around you! Start right now, simply by closing your eyes and taking three long, deep, slow breaths into your belly – with a smile on your face! Ahhh… the world is more peaceful already!”*

~by Chip Richards

Breathe! Slow down…. yes, you! Breathe! Relax. Bring those shoulders back down from up around your ears. In fact, if you can, right now, stand up and shake it all out; all the stress, all that pent up energy. It might have been making you feel jittery, or it might have been bogging you down, but either way, if you move, it will move too. Then take a few moments to realign your energy. Breathe.

Have you been feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders? Feeling as if you would like to fix everything for everyone and put yourself on the back burner? Have you been spreading yourself a bit thin lately? Or have you been feeling that there is too much obligation in your life right not and not enough fun? Either way something needs to change. Take a little time to yourself to regroup, and promise to find some time weekly or even daily to incorporate doing what you love. It’s vital to your well being and you deserve it!

This is all part of the creative process, and it starts with you giving yourself permission to be you… truly, authentically, joyfully YOU! Remember that the biggest gift you have to share with the world is your light. When you shine your light through your love and create joy around you, you raise the vibration of the planet. This is true healing; lightening the weight of the world.

With your beautiful Soul.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Rejuvenation, from the Return Of Spirit Oracle Card deck, by Cheryl Lee Harnish

Rejuvenation: “The Rejuvenation  card is symbolically the same as the calm after a storm – when the clouds have parted and the air is fresh and crisp. You are about to move into a place of calm within your own life. This is rejuvenation of both the heart and inner spirit.

Life certainly has its ups and downs. You are about to embark on the up cycle for a while. During this time, you will be able to experience a sense of ease within your life. You may even feel that for once, everything is right in your world. The normal stresses of the everyday will not seem so stressful. While your life will always have its demands, it will feel easier and more manageable. You will feel strong within yourself for this upcoming period of time.

During this time of ease, you will find that your sense of feeling good about your life, and who you are as a person, is restored. It will strengthen your feeling of connection to Source, and of being supported and provided for. Somehow, the path ahead will seem clearer and easier to follow.

This will also have physical benefits as well. You will experience being more in-sync and in-tune with your body. You may very well find that you have more energy to do things and that your body wants to be active. The harmony you feel in your life will be reflected throughout your physical expression too.

Take advantage of this beautiful experience in every way you can. Being brave enough to come down here and wear that human skin suit all these years says you deserve it. Now it is time to reap the rewards and experience the joy of being a soul incarnated in human form!”*

– Cheryl Lee Harnish

The alignment of Venus, Mars and the Moon has created an abundance of peaceful and magical energy! We are in for a treat this week; we will finally have time to step away from stress and embrace calm focus and creativity. Anything is possible, and we are encouraged to look at every aspect of our lives with new eyes. Don’t take anything, or anyone for granted, look at every detail and find the love. See the people around you and everything they do for you on a daily basis. Look for the opportunities that present themselves to you in unexpected ways. Listen to the messages in your dreams and watch for signs and messages all around you as you receive Divine guidance and inspiration from your angels and guides.

Animals are a powerful resource for you at this time. Be aware of your encounters with animals and birds, as they may have something special to share with you. Leave the electronics behind and spend some time outside observing the abundance of nature around you, holding the intention to strengthen your connection to your higher self and Mother Gaia.

This is a magical time and the Universe is asking that you come out and play.
