Artemis ~ Selfhood, from the Goddess Oracle, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Artemis ~ Selfhood, from the Goddess Oracle, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

I am who I am

and I know who I am

I can take care of myself

under all circumstances

and I can let others care for me

I can choose

There is no authority

higher than my own

my powers of discernment are finely honed

I am autonomous

I am free from the influence

of others’ opinions

I am able to separate

that which needs separation

so a clear decision

can be reached

I think for myself

I set my sights

and aim my bow

my arrows always find their mark

Mythology: Artemis (pronounced ar’teh-mis) another multidimensional Goddess reduced by the Greeks to the domain of moon, virgin, huntress, and childbirth, really represented the Feminine in all her aspects. She was the huntress who protected animals and the virgin ( whole and complete unto herself) who made love in the woods. When Artemis was a little girl, Zeus, her father, wanted to give her a gift and asked her what she wanted. Artemis replied” I wan tto run forever wild and free with my hounds in the woods and never, ever marry.

Meaning Of The Card: Artemis has shot her arrow of selfhood into your life to help you focus on yourself. Have you been too much at the service of others without making sure you get what you need for yourself? Has it been too long since you had time to yourself or a space of your own? Do the boundaries of your selfhood seem blurred and indistinct? Do you feel you have no right to a self of your own, but must always be thinking of others, putting their needs first, until you don’t know who you are or what you want? Now is the time to come into yourself. Now is the time to pay attentions to the whispering voices of your own needs. Now is the time to take yourself back and celebrate and strengthen who you are. Artemis says that wholeness is nurtured when you honor, respect, and give time to yourself. She also asks how can you expect to hit any targets if you don’t have a self for which to shoot?”*

Tomorrow is the full moon and lunar eclipse and this is a call to connect to the powerful aspect of your Divine Feminine Warrior. It is imperative that you honour this aspect of yourself, reconnect with her and make precious time to nurture this connection. She will guide you to grow and expand; to put yourself first and cut away those who would hold you back from being the strongest, truest and most powerful version of yourself. Feel her energy embrace you. Feel your Wild Woman within come to life and move through you, heating up the blood in your veins, forcing you to move forward with focus and determination. Nothing can hold her (You) back.

There will be a separation of sorts, as you reclaim your power and break away from seeking the approval or acceptance of others. You have the chance to galvanize yourself against their old judgment and opinions… those that used to push your buttons or get under your skin will no longer touch you. You will be immune. Having no desire to participate in the drama, you will simply walk away. And as you do so, you will reinvent yourself from the outside as you reconnect with your true authentic self on the inside. You will set a much higher bar for those who wish to engage with you, a higher vibration that they must match to be close to you. This is not an indication that you are any “better” than anyone else, only that you desire a deeper connection and will no longer be able to tolerate toxicity, falsity or negativity. When you find yourself at this turning point, you will become self sufficient. Knowing that the Universe always provides.

I AM a warrior.

Shakti, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Shakti, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Shakti: “Energy”

I am the ultimate source

dancing through all forms

I am the animating force

vibrating the world into being

I activate

Let me fill you

with cosmic ecstasy

Let me reconnect you

recharge you

renew you

I am the sweet bliss honey nectar

that snakes up your spine

connecting all your chakras

into one big orgasmic orgy

of power

Mythology: “In Hindu India, Shakti (pronounced shock’tee), the Goddess, is active, powerful, vital – the animating force of the universe. The masculine is the passive, inert, dormant force. Each Shakti has her God with whom she unties in sexual union. Without union, neither can do anything. To the Tanric mystics, the ultimate union with Shakti happens at the moment of death. Shakti, portrayed here seated within the luminous world egg, is protected by the serpent, kundalini, the emanation of her own divine energy.

Meaning of the card: Shakti explodes into your life to energize and vitalize you. The way to wholeness for you now lies in learning to work with Shakti: divine, cosmic, orgasmic Goddess energy. Have you been feeling tired? Do life and all its demands exhaust you? Do you keep giving your energy, your vitality, without taking in, recharging, revitalizing? Perhaps there is something you want to manifest but you do not feel you have enough energy to do it. Shakti ssays there is abundant energy available for you. All you need to do is learn how to connect with it.”*

~by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Humans have taken their sacred sexual energies and cheapened them, by seeing them as flesh based instant gratification. Gum commercials are now sexier than beer commercials, and sex is used to sell everything from hardware and tools  to food of every variety and everything in between. But as things shift and transform, we are finally realizing that we are missing something… something big!

We are missing tapping into our most sacred and creative powers, the energy that can be used to access the highest connection of love and light. And it does not have to hinge on finding a sexual partner… it’s all about you (and no, I’m not talking about that right now either…). In fact, it need not have anything to do with genitals or sexual body parts… this particular energy is linking body, mind and spirit. Once you master this, you may decide to add the sexual aspect. That is up to you. Find your own bliss first.

Through finding peace and oneness with the Divine by connecting to the sacred Kundalini energy, and bringing it up through mother Gaia and through your spine, clearing, aligning and energizing your energy centers, (or chakra), out your crown and right up into the Universe. When this connection is made, we are open to everything the Universe has to offer. Joy, bliss, connection to All That Is. Peace and enlightnement are all on offer. This is most powerfully accessed through the Breath; the bridge between the dimensions.

If we can learn to still our minds and be with the silence and tune in to our Breath.

If we can connect to this potent energy and use it for what it was intended for; sacred creation and when sharing with someone we love, sacred union. There is nothing fast and cheap about this energy, it is deeply profound and should be treated with the utmost respect.

Nut ~ Mystery, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Nut ~ Mystery, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Nut ~ Mystery:

“Reach for me

touch me

I am always beyond your grasp

Don’t try to figure me out

for you can’t

I am the ever-present unfathomable unknown

I am the immensity of the star filled sky

I am beyond human comprehension

In the vastness of my being

I am a mystery

even to myself”

Mythology: “Nut (pronounced noot) is the Egyptian Goddess of the night sky, also known as the Great Deep, the Celestial Vault, who daily gives birth to the sun each morning, then consumes it again each night. Disapproving of the incest of Nut as she lay over her brother Geb, the Earth, Ra, the sun or high God, had them pried apart. Nut was then lifted into the sky where she remains, her body formed into an arch. Painted inside the inner lid of a sarcophagus, she mothers and protects the dead on their journey.

Meaning of this card: Nut’s twinkling vast dark vault stretches out in your life to remind you to open up to the mystery. Have you been planning every aspect of your life and left no room for mystery? Is your life wound up too tight? Are you trying to make everything safe by defining it, labeling it, knowing it all? Give way to the mystery, the unknowable. The Wise Woman knows there is much in the universe that will remain a mystery and leaves space for it in the weaving of her life. Nut says the way to nurture wholeness is for you to trust that the mystery you let in will be exactly what you need for your journey to wholeness.:*

It’s always fascinating to me to choose the same card from different decks on consecutive days. There is definitely a vital message here for us, and I wonder if the repetition is to get our attention, to reach those who missed it yesterday, to allow us to see things from a different perspective, or just because us humans don’t always listen to what we are told! I guess I will go with all of the above on this one!

We are big controllers. We love to dictate exactly how and when we want things to go down in our lives. We want to choose our perfect mate; often based on superficial attributes. We want to have the houses, the cars, and all the material stuff to prove that we are where we should be in the hierarchy of society. We get all caught up on our perceived flaws, particularly physical and allow them to hold us back. We forget that there is so much magic and mystery to the Universe as we are so entrenched in this physical plane of existence.

The angels want us to surrender to the magic and Mystery of the Universe. They want us to release our death grip on our desires of material gain and delve deeply into the mystery of the cosmos found within us all. They want us to know that things are changing for the better, that we are shifting in consciousness and we are expanding our awareness and these things are opening us up to the magic and the mystery. They want us to lead with our hearts; to fill ourselves with love.

To see the connection to All That Is.

You are the magic. You are the mystery.

Demeter, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Demeter, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Demeter, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Demeter: “Feelings and Emotions”

“I felt it all

the rage the anger

the joy the happiness

the tearing the anguish

and I searched

for the middle ground

the sure path

between what I felt

and what I did with it

Then I shed the skins

the layers that build up

when feelings aren’t voiced

aren’t heard

aren’t acknowledged

By giving my feelings

their rightful place

I keep myself far

from the intensity

sheer density

and cost

of emotion.”

Mythology: “Demeter (pronounced deh’me-ter), whose name means “doorway of the mysterious feminine,” was worshipped as the Great Goddess long before the patriarchal Greeks conquered the Goddess worshipping peoples of what is now Greece and imposed their Olympian male dominated pantheon. As Great Goddess, Demeter is known for the founding of agriculture, instituting the social order, and for her mystery rites at Eleusis. One fine spring day, Demeter’s daughter Persephone was captured by Hades, god of the Underworld. Demeter, in her grief and emotional trauma, withdrew her life force from the earth and winter came. Zeus persuaded Hades to return Persephone to Demeter. To trick Persephone into staying with him, for no one could return from the Underworld having eaten the food of the dead, Hades gave Persephone a pomegranate and she ate six seeds. Therefore she was allowed to return to Demeter for six months of the year. The other six she spends with Hades in the Underworld.”

Meaning Of The Card: “Demeter has come to light your way through the dark and challenging labyrinth of feelings and emotions. It is time to nurture wholeness by accepting, acknowledging, and expressing your feelings. Feelings are what you feel. Emotions are your reaction to your feelings. Feelings left unexpressed build up and can create disease for they take up space inside and keep healthy energy from flowing.

Perhaps as a child your feelings (and you!) were not heard, therefore you needed to give them more energy in order to get any sort of a response. Perhaps you fear your emotions and/or feelings will render you too vulnerable, overwhelm you, or take you to places from which you will not be able to return. Demeter says the more you learn to accept and acknowledge your feelings, the less time you will spend in emotional turmoil and the more energy you will have to live life. The more you learn to accept and honor your feelings, the safer it will become to express them.”*

~by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

What keeps coming up for you right now? Are you hiding your true feelings, afraid of hurting someone else? Are you afraid that if your true feelings are known you may not be accepted or you may lose the approval of those close to you? What is holding you back from being honest with yourself; and what is holding your tongue?

Repressed emotions can have a negative impact on our overall health, creating dis-ease due to the blockages of energy. In order to heal, we must forgive ourselves for any self-judgment that we have held towards our feelings or the expression of our emotions. We must also look closely and see if this judgment is something that we took from the opinions of others. Maybe we have been hiding our true self for far too long; maybe it has caused us inner turmoil or confusion. It may be causing an identity crisis, what we project out into the world vs what we truly feel is our authentic self.

In order to move forward it is time to get honest and communicate. If speaking out loud is too frightening at this point, try writing a letter. Even a letter to yourself, or to a passed over loved one can be amazing therapy in processing old thought patterns and belief systems. It is a wonderful way to get clear on where these feelings have come from. Imagine a physical release as you see the words appear on the paper or screen, as if they are literally being pulled out of you like painful slivers, allowing room for healing now. Feel into the space left when they are removed and fill these spaces with Love and Light. Bring up every emotion and allow it to wash over you as you write; blessing and releasing each experience.

Allow yourself to heal through this process, knowing that these feelings are being released permanently from your body, mind and spirit.

Imagine what is possible with all that emotional baggage gone.

And all that room for Love and Light.

Durga ~ Boundaries, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Durga ~ Boundaries, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Durga ~ Boundaries

“When threatened by demons

I fiercely protect myself

with all that I am

with all that I have

from deep within

I call forth all that I need

I am the “Inaccessible”

for I place myself beyond the reach of all that would destroy me

all that would annihilate me

all that tries to wound me

I am the “unapproachable”

for nothing can get at me that I do not willingly let in

I dance my dance of oneness

only with what supports me

nurtures me

loves me

For all that does not

I say: approach at your own risk!”

Mythology: “Devi is what the Goddesses is called in India. To the Hindu, all Goddesses are one goddess, different aspects of Devi or the Divine Feminine. An aspect of Devi was called into being to rid the world of the evil demon Durga (pronounced der’gah). In the battle between the Gods and the anti-gods or demons, none of the Gods could destroy Druga, so they went to Devi and asked for help. Mounting a tiger and brandishing her fearsome weapons, she attacked the demon, who changed from one terrifying form into another until Devi slew him when he transformed into a buffalo. IN remembrance of the great battle, Devi took the name of Durga.”

Meaning Of The Card: “You have called Durga into your life to help you to create boundaries. *(I define boundary as a shield or skin surrounding you that allows you to choose what you take in. All life happens outside of your boundary; you witness it and decide what you are going to take in to nurture yourself).

What are you taking inside that should remain outside? How are  you not protecting yourself, your life, your time? Is the statement “NO, I can’t do this right now, I need to care for myself,” part of your vocabulary? Perhaps you feel dumped on by others. Are you feeling pulled off center by demands to give and give and give till there is nothing left for yourself? Durga is here to assist you in nurturing wholeness b y creating and fixing the limits of your personal space. Establishing clear boundaries is an act of self-love. Having no boundaries gives others the message that you are limitless and want to be treated in a limitless way. No one is limitless; there are places where we get hurt, places where we are vulnerable, places that need to be treated with care. Durga says that boundaries are vital because they let others know who you are and where you stand.”*

~by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

It’s a common misconception that to be a Lightworker, you must give and give and give of yourself until there is nothing left. It is not about putting absolutely everyone before you, to the detriment of your health, sanity or well being. And it is not about putting others needs above your own. You are so much more valuable to the world full of energy and vitality; not drained, exhausted and stressed out.

Sounds simple enough, but believe me, as I write this, do I live it? Those who know me will laugh and tell me that I should actually read this stuff that I write, and while I am at it, I should take my own advice too! Yes, I get it, this message is for me, just as it is for you. We need boundaries! Big time!

There are several simple ways of protecting ourselves energetically, and two of my favourites are: Number one: creating a big beautiful bubble of white light and love all around us before we get out of bed, and strengthening it throughout the day whenever we start to feel drained, stressed or know that we are around negativity of any kind. Number two: wearing black tourmaline or black obsidian, yes, I love my crystals! I often wear a black obsidian bracelet on my left wrist to help filter out any negative energy; I also have a black tourmaline pendant that I place over my heart or solar plexus chakra if I know I am going to be in a crowded place or stressful situation. These stones can also be placed around a room or office to help filter the energy. Shungite can be also be used to alleviate the mental and physical stress of being surrounded by technology but requires frequent clearing.

The other great way to create boundaries is to manage your time. Allow yourself some precious down time every day, and do not relinquish this unless it is an absolute emergency! Do your yoga, meditate, get out in the forest or go to the beach and BREATHE! You deserve it! Do it every single day for at least a few minutes, you will be a better person/parent/friend/spouse if you take time to yourself every day.

Lastly, learn to say no. If this is a tricky one, start with little things and work up from there, you simply cannot take it all on. And when you say no? Release all guilt and stick to it. This will empower you to make more “no” decisions in your future and you will find yourself doing less of what stresses you out. Obligation leads to repressed feelings, anger and resentment. Let it go, let someone else take up the slack for once. Maybe then they will appreciate just how much you have been doing!

Brigid ~ Inspiration, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky, Illustrated by Hrana Janto

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Brigid ~ Inspiration, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky, Illustrated by Hrana Janto

Brigid ~ Inspiration:

“Let me come to you

through the mists

through the fire

through the plants

through the deep flowing wells

with ideas

music beyond the tips of your ears

Let me move you

enliven you

till your perspective shifts

and your mind ~ body~ spirit explodes

and you are left standing

in the wake of what has been revealed…

and life feels very sweet”

Mythology: “Brigid (pronounced bridge’id, (which means “bright,” is a Celtic triple Goddess of fire: the fire of inspiration, smithcraft, poetry, healing, and divination. Her inspiration was vital to the bards (poets) who called upon her freely. Legend says that Brigid was born with a flame reaching out from the top of her head, connecting her with the universe. The new (Christian) and the old (Pagan) Brigid were merged into St. Brigid in A.D. 450. St. Brigid, daughter of a Druid, was a goldsmith and a healer. Nineteen priestesses/nuns guard her sacred fire in Kildare, Ireland. On the twentieth of each month it is said that she appears and tends it herself.”

Meaning of the Card: “Brigid comes to ignite you with inspiration. Are you feeling a lack of direction? Motivation? Energy? Has your path gone out of focus, your life become unclear? It is time to nurture wholeness by taking in the sparkle and crackle of inspiration. Brigid says that a life without the fire of inspiration is dull indeed. She further counsels that by allowing inspiration to nurture your life you become sharper, clearer, and more energetic.”*

~by Amy Sophia Marashinsky, Illustrated by Hrana Janto

Now we have the element of Fire as our Ally through the Goddess Brigid. Fire is passion and movement and transmutation; it is action and adventure and motivation. Where is your life stagnant? What needs to be burned away in order to see the Truth and the Light available to you? Only you know the answer. Fire will give you the necessary motivation and inspiration to make the necessary changes to find your passions again and set your heart on fire (in a good way!)

Moving into the New Earth consciousness requires authenticity. We are asked to find our true selves and live from a heart centered place of gratitude and joy…. with a spicy edge of passion, sensuality and zest for life! This can only be done if we achieve balance between our light and shadow selves. Fire can assist us in shedding light on that which must be healed in order for us to find and live our Soul purpose in this incarnation. Finding our true passion and living it is key.

What gets your fire burning? What do you love to do? What gets your blood pumping through your veins while time stands still… what makes you feel alive beyond anything else?

Go do that. And ask Brigid to assist you in harnessing this energy in order to move forward towards the creation of your wildest dreams.

Vila ~ Shape Shifting, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Vila ~ Shape Shifting, from the Goddess Oracle Card deck, by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

Vila ~ Shape Shifting:

I dance from form to form

I shift from shape to shape

ever changing

ever expanding

ever becoming

I am flexibility

for by changing my form

I freely flow with all that comes

my way

I am consciousness

for by shifting my shape

I gain an expanded awareness of what it is to Be

I waltz a whirlwind

tango a tree

salsa a swan

or just plain fox trot

My dance is an affinity with All

for I am able to become All in order to know All

Becoming All dissolves form

Knowing All creates Oneness

The Illusion is that you have a separate shape”

Mythology: Vila (pronounced vee’lah) is the eastern European name for the Goddess energy moving through the earth as nature. Vily (plural) are very protective of their terrain and use their arrows of death on those who trespass. They are consummate shape-shifters, able to change into animals such as snakes, swans, falcons, and horses. They love to play and dance. If contacted in the forest on a moonlit night, they might grant health, wealth, abundant crops or they might, if shown disrespect, dance the offender to death.

Meaning of the Card: Vila has come dancing into your life in her many forms to teach you to nourish wholeness by learning to shape shift. Have you been too long in one form? Are you feeling still and stagnant, losing flexibility in your way of thinking and being? Or perhaps you feel that the human is the most important being in creation – that the rocks, trees, animals, earth, et cetera, are lesser forms. It is time to expand your awareness, to enhance your flexibility by gaining the perspective of other forms. Vila says that the way to wholeness lies in experiencing the whole of creation.”*

~ by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto

We are not our “personality” or ego; that mask we use to present ourselves to the world. Our personalities are greatly formed through our reactions to our life experiences. It is molded by the people we have come into contact with, picking up little idiosyncracies along the way; hiding our shadow sides which we are afraid may not be accepted and generally compromising and trying desperately to fit in. What if we removed the mask? What if we decided that we could shift and change depending on how we were feeling, and how we wanted to interact with the world and our environment? What if we committed to freedom of authentic self expression? How would that look? How would that feel?

How would it feel to be completely you, with no agenda? Without compromise, without approval, without judement and without trying to please? Can you feel a weight lifting from you? A burden being removed?

Part of your transformational journey is finding the True YOU. The beautiful Soul, the creative genius, the raw talent. The Light. Spend some time alone each day in quiet contemplation and commit to removing, layer by layer, the masks which have been in place since you were just a child. Commit to finding that amazing Soul within. As you peel away each layer, feel the new lightness of Being. See your own flexibility, feel it course through you. Know that you are connected to All That Is. That you are the butterfly, the flower, the bird and the tiger, and they in turn are you.

When you discover this deep and profound connection, to the Universe, the Earth and every cell of every creation, plant and creature.

That, is when the true healing begins.
