Goddess

Daily Angel Oracle Card, from the Angel Therapy Oracle Card deck, by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D: Goddess

Goddess: “Express your Divine feminine energy, embracing its magical intuition and nurturing qualities.”

This card speaks of a need for sacred female energy, which brings gifts such as intuition, nurturing, and artistic expression. Perhaps you have been spending too much time thinking or engaging in creatively void work. If so, then this card is your signal to move your body in dance; and express your intuitive, artistic and nurturing side.

You are also guided to call on benevolent female deities for help with the situation you are inquiring about. You can call upon Lakshmi, the beloved Hindu goddess who helps with abundance; Brigit, the Celtic goddess  of healing and courage; Mother Mary, the saint who guides our children; Athena, the Grecian goddess of wisdom; the Egyptian goddess Isis, who helps women juggle home and family; or any of the thousands of other trustworthy and sacred feminine deities”

Action Steps:
“Within every woman are three parts of the goddess: Maiden (inner child, at times pure and at other times adventurous or bold); Mother (nurturing qualities); and Matriarch (the teacher). Men have analogous inner qualities of the Lad, the Dad, and the Patriarch. It is important to express each of these three parts daily. This helps to balance playfulness with work and relationships. Spend time each day expressing all three characteristics, and notice how much more energized and balanced you feel.”

It is time to connect to one of the most powerful aspects of the female: the Divine Feminine. This is your inner wisdom and personal strength and power in all that is feminine. Archangel Ariel can help you strengthen this connection, call on her to help you access your inner Lioness, as she is “The Lioness of God.” Inner strength and power is synonymous with courage, confidence and self-esteem; it is not a power struggle or a misuse of power. It is believing in yourself, seeing your unique gifts and having the self-confidence to accept yourself fully as a beautiful woman, inside and out. If you have trouble seeing your inner and outer beauty, call on Archangel Jophiel to show you your inner light. Ask Jophiel to help you see the beauty in all things, starting from within.” *

~ By Doreen Virtue

Power. Personal Power. Empowerment. Courage, strength and commitment to yourself and to your dreams. Focus and intention and determination. Fueled with love, devotion and perseverance. To you. To the self. Then radiating out to something bigger. The Earth herself, the All, the greatest and Highest Good.

It is nice to have everyone around you happy, but it is not your job to bring this happiness to them. You didn’t come here as a people pleaser, you came here to create a very specific reality which will in turn benefit all. There’s a difference.

Creation and manifestation; the birth of something new. Divine Feminine warrior wisdom and strength. Releasing the struggle, stepping beyond the stereotypes of what’s expected of us. Stopping living for others and focusing our energy on ourselves and our dreams. Shrugging off the oppression, the programming. Not ignoring our duties or responsibilities, particularly to our loved ones or children, but releasing what is no longer necessary and standing true.

Goddess energy. Honouring our rhythms and cycles. Using our energy wisely. Honoring the Great Mother and all of her creations. Becoming their fierce protectors as we create a life which upholds the Cosmic Laws. This wisdom is in you already, in your bones and your blood and your DNA. Male or female, we all carry it. It’s time to tap in and bring it forth.

Skadi

Published October 26, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Skadi, from the Viking Oracle Card deck, by Stacey Demarco, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Skadi, from the Viking Oracle Card deck, by Stacey Demarco, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Skadi: “Know yourself. It is the most important of life’s work. Express your independence. Let authenticity be your guide. Compromise is part of every relationship, but when compromise pushes you to be someone you are not, a change should be made. There is an easier way to do things. Speak plainly.”

“The horizon
Brings me joy
There is so much to discover.
Unfettered by what is not mine,
I speak my truth, and
I am heard and heeded.
I sing along with my wolves
In harmony. I am myself.
I am Skdi.”

“Skadi is a Norse goddess best known in the mountainous parts of the region. Beautiful, strong, resourceful and independent, her name is linked to the words for ‘unknown’ and ‘darkness’ and may even be the source of the word ‘Scandinavia’ – a land dedicated to her. Skadi is a huntress, an archer, a keeper of wolves and, most of all, a lover of snow and of the highest mountains.

Her mythos tell us that once married – to a husband she demanded from the other gods as recompense for the death of her beloved father, Pjazi, Skadi tried to live in her new husband’s house. But her husband, Njoror, was a sea god and lived on an island crashing with waves and smelling of seaweed. The incessant sound of the ocean and screeching of sea birds was too much for Skadi, who was used to the soft silence of the snow and the howling of her wolves. When she spoke of missing her true home and her desire to be independent, she and Njoror agreed to try alternating homes every nine days. When dividing their time between Noatun and in Prymheimr did not work out, they decided to live apart, but stay married. Skadi then returned to her beloved mountains, where she hunted from her skis – which she and the god Ull invented!

The Norse asked Skadi for protection on winter journeys, for success in hunting and for survival in harsh times. When darkness was almost total in the Arctic winters, it ws she they often referred to. She favoured those who loved the snow and ice and who were honest, open and plain speaking. Her cult extended to the Sami Arctic region and the Arctic Circle, where people skied for survival, not just for fun.

Should Skadi step into your life with this card, she is reminding you that being honest, direct and respecting your own personal freedom is paramount. If you need courage to be who you really are, ask Skadi for assistance.*

~ By Stacey Demarco

Yesterday we contemplated the power of words, today we are being asked to stand in our power and use them. Communication, honesty, authenticity and truth. It is time to let the world know where you stand. Be clear about how you really feel, what you desire, your needs. Be honest about how you plan to move forward in the world.

Have you have been holding back? Afraid what others may think, or worried about hurting someone’s feelings? You must make sure that you are not compromising yourself or your values. You cannot live your life for another. You must do what feels right for you. Think carefully about what needs to be said. Be mindful of the words you choose. Avoid miscommunication at this time, give yourself time to think things through before you speak, do not make a hasty decision or say things you do not mean.

When your thoughts are in order and you feel ready, take a few deep breaths and intend that the outcome is for the Highest Good Of All involved.

And then say what you have to say.

Clear, direct, honest and true.

Athena ~ Wisdom

Published October 17, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Athena ~ Wisdom, from the Mythic Oracle, by Carisa Mellado, artwork by Michele-Lee Phelan

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Athena ~ Wisdom, from the Mythic Oracle, by Carisa Mellado, artwork by Michele-Lee Phelan

The Myth: “Zeus feared that his first wife, Metis, whose name means wisdom, would bear a son who would overthrow him. Zeus swallowed Metis when she was pregnant with Athena. Despite his effort, Athena sprang fully grown from Zeus’s head, dressed in her war armor and shimmering gold, holding a sharp spear.

Athena is the virgin goddess of wisdom and appears in many myths, planning strategies for wars and guiding heroes toward their goals. Her ability to see things from a higher perspective allows her to choose the best course of action.

Athena and Poseidon competed to become the patron deity of what would become Athens. Poseidon created a spring that brought water and trade, but it was salty and not good for drinking. Athena created the domesticated olive tree, which gave the Athenians food, wood, and oil. Her gift was by far the wiser and more fruitful, and she became the patron of Athens, which was named in her honour. This example illustrates how Athena used her ability to see the bigger picture to achieve her desired outcome.”

The Message: “Athena represents clarity and balance of mind. It may be time for you to stop and take stock of your life. You may need to put feelings to the side and closely review your current situation. You may need to journal, meditate, or go for a long walk in order to obtain clarity.

Athena helps heroes win battles, but only through intelligence, clarity, foresight, and wisdom. This is a time to be smart, and wisdom only comes when the heart and the mind are in balance. If you feel muddled, overwhelmed, or frustrated, it is time to stop engaging in the dramas of your exterior life so that you can see what is really occurring and discover how to move forward and defeat the monsters of your inner life. This is a time to face yourself calmly and honestly , so that the guiding light of clarity can see you through to the next phase in your life.”*

~ By Carisa Mellado

Yesterday we were granted the supreme protection of Isis. Today we are blessed with the wisdom of Athena. Now that we are protected by powerful warrior energies, it is time to dig deep and find our inner resources. It takes much more than brute strength to win a battle, we must use the power of our minds. Both Goddesses can contribute to our clarity of thought, our decisiveness and our ability to tap into our vision and strength of character, where true battles are won.

We are being asked to look at things in a new and different way. We are reminded that each of us is on our own journey and we cannot interfere with the journey of another. We can provide support and guidance, just as the Divine can offer us, but we cannot live their lives for them. Maybe we have been a bit judgmental. Maybe we have been withholding love from someone in an effort to teach them a lesson. Maybe we have been sucked into playing a game we didn’t want to play. Maybe we have convinced ourselves of something that deep down we know is simply not true.

All that must be released. The slate must be cleared so that new ideas can form. There is a new way to see this situation, but we must be open to it.

Athena is the goddess of wisdom and strategy. She is not intimidated. She is not easily influenced. She does not react with emotion, but steps back to gain perspective, considering the bigger picture. She makes a plan of action. We are being urged to do the same. Refuse to get caught up in the drama. See things from a broader perspective. Strive for the highest good instead of personal gain. Take a break from the situation until you can think clearly and move forward in the best possible way.

Sol

Published July 21, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Sol, from the Viking Oracle, by Stacey Demarco, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Sol, from the Viking Oracle, by Stacey Demarco, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Sol: “Your sense of personal power will increase. Be confident – your situation will improve quickly. Do not procrastinate. Choose love over hate. Do not be distracted by gossip or mockery – these are lower forms of communication. Surround yourself with positive people.”

“Every cell of my being
Reaches up
Like the face of a flower
Turning towards your greatness.
You are the source of all warmth,
The catalyst to my change,
The flow of love to all things,
Golden and beautiful.
I feel filled with now.
I am Sol.”

“Sol is both a goddess and the sun itself. Sol and her brother Mani were born of time (Mundilferi) when the universe was being created. Sol was as golden and beautiful as her brother was silvery and light. At first, Sol was not sure of her role within the new world. But then the gods created times of darkness and times of light, assigning Sol the day and Mani night.

Sol and Mani ride across the sky in horse drawn chariots. Their steeds are named Arvakr (Early Riser) and Alsvior (Swift). Other cultures have imagined the sun as a deity riding across the sky on a chariot, too. For instance, the ancient Greeks saw the sun as Helios and his horses. However, most sun deities are seen as male, which makes the female Sol unusual. Perhaps the Norse peoples saw the sun as particularly rare and beautiful, since their lands were dominated by cold, dark and ice. Also, the sun was life giving, as women were givers of life, so they associated the sun with the feminine.

In some poems, Sol is said to be chased every day by two ravenous wolves, Skoll (Mockery) and Hati (Hate). She manages to outrun them until Ragnarok, when they finally catch up to her and destroy her. This provides and alternative to the mythos of Sol being consumed by the great wolf Fenrir.”*

~ By Stacey Demarco

Again we have the most powerful creation energies, the Sun. And for a change, the Sun as Divine Feminine, which is different energy all together than what we are used to. What significance does this have? Warmth, thoughtful creation and mindful manifestation. Receptivity and fertility. Mindful, thorough and expansive creation through slow and steady action; with an aspect of the things we need coming to us and through us. Healing energy. Nurturing energy.

We can embody these energies and use them to create in our own lives. Knowing that our own Sun energy resides in our Solar Plexus chakra in our navel. When this chakra is energized we experience increased confidence, abundance, and empowerment. We can, quite literally have the ‘Midas Touch’ and accelerated powers of manifestation. Creative expression comes naturally and we are able to really be who we are without compromise.

Stand outside and tilt your face up to the Sun, palms outstretched. Feel it energize you; feel it’s life force. Use this energy to revitalize you and harness it to fuel your passions; allowing your creative juices to flow.

The Feminine ~ Muliebre Numen

The Feminine ~ Muliebre Numen, from The Gospel of Aradia, by Stacey Demarco, Artwork by Jimmy Manton

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Feminine ~ Muliebre Numen, from The Gospel of Aradia, by Stacey Demarco, Artwork by Jimmy Manton

The Feminine ~ Muliebre Numen: “Do not be afraid of the feminine form or naturally feminine ways. You can be powerful and still feminine. Seek equality. Forget the current restrictions of sexual roles – they limit everyone. There is no need to push forcefully for what you want. Be the best you can be and attract what you need.

To the one that comes from the Goddess,

To the maiden to the wife,

To the creatrix to the seductress,

To the one that bore me to life.

Clear the path for the power,

Of flowers and of seeds,

Of pull, not push,

Of wildness and of bleeds.

We humans may

We humans may have venerated the Feminine Divine for longer than we have any other deity. The One that births, provides, nurtures, creates – She is both the beginning, and at the end, of everything.

In Aradia’s gospel, it was Diana, who was the primary face of the Feminine Divine. Through Aradia, Diana’s teachings encouraged women to seek gender equality in a society from which respect for the feminine was rapidly disappearing. Women of the time were quickly losing their freedoms and the personal powers that they had long-held. They were no longer able to publicly practice certain healing arts, inherit easily, travel alone or often choose their own husbands. Worse still, the kind of new patriarchal religion meant that there were only male intermediaries between the new God and the people and that there were either no roles or very narrow and chaste roles for women in the worship itself. No priestesses, no powerful equal Feminine Divine, no mythos other than one of the virgin mother or the fallen woman.

We are now in a time where the Feminine Divine has made a comeback. Since the 1960s, when the movement of feminism became important and powerful, women have again sought a kind of spirituality that reflected them as women and as equal beings. The rise of the Goddess movement mirrored this rise of feminism and we now live in a time in the Western world when it is safer to worship a feminine deity (or deities) than a single masculine entity. The feminine principles of attraction, pull rather than push, collaboration, and power “together” rather than power “over” could help solve the problems of many societies today.”*

~ By Stacey Demarco

Finally things are coming back into balance. This shift has been a long time in coming. It is even challenging to imagine absolute equality; we are so wired to think in terms of competition; who is on top, who is leading, who is in charge. Rather than a tug-o-war we can just relax, the struggle is finally over.

Woman are being accepted for being themselves; we don’t have to be paraded around as sexual objects. (not that this is not still happening, but we have a choice whether we participate). Women of various shapes and sizes are being revered just for being them, for sharing their gifts with the world. Young girls are being encouraged to be anything their heart’s desire, rather than being stereotyped into female roles. Progress!

In finding unconditional self-acceptance and Love, we must accept ourselves top to toe: inside and out; the shadows and the light. And when we do this, we open ourselves up to infinite possibilities.

And so it is.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Brigid ~ Healing, from the Goddesses and Sirens Oracle Card deck, by Stacey Demarco, Illustrations by Jimmy Manton

Brigid ~ Healing: “Your time of healing is here. Past hurts will recede. Be inspired to create- this in itself is healing. It is your birthright to create”

“When the Irish goddess Brigid stepped forth on earth, a flame appeared above her head, roaring upward, connecting her to the heavenly place from which she sprang. This burning fire, full of primal creativity and healing, has been Brigid’s gift to her followers for millennia.

Brigid was the daughter of Dagda (a father figure god in Irish mythology) and one of the poets of the Tuatha de Danann. She is known by many names, including Bride and Briant. Much loved and actively worshipped, she is the patron goddess of creativity and of healing. Artists of all kinds- writers, musicians, bards, scholars and, of course, healers – have called upon her.

The spring festival of Imbolc, which is still celebrated by pagans today, is sacred to Brigid. Herbs necessary for healing are gathered and harvested during this time and ritually blessed in her name. Many celebrations are held around her healing wells, and springs sacred to her are held around her healing wells and springs sacred to her are still well-used in Ireland.

Many writers, filmmakers, farmers and healers ask for inspiration and healing energy from Brigid. The goddess is still a very popular deity throughout the world. Through her later appropriation by the Christians, she is known as St. Brigid, a patron saint of Ireland. Her current sanctuary, situated in Kildare, contains a sacred flame.

Brigid appears in your life to heal you, often by inspiring you. Her energy is powerful and effective. She encourages the full expression of appropriate emotion and the creative spirit. It is said that no one who offers trust to Brigid is disappointed, and she always compassionately does her best to assist. Brigid’s presence will help any creative projects or emotional journeys or discussions. She is a wonderful goddess to call upon when you need to bust out of a rut and get excited about life again!”

Shadow Side: “When Brigid’s son was killed in battle, her grief grew into dark hatred. However, she overcame this hatred by expressing her grief. She wailed and cried so loudly and with such emotion that it is said that she healed herself and inspired unity in the Irish tribes. When you feel that a dark emotion, such as hatred or jealousy, is building inside you, remember that Brigid did not let it control her life; she grieved appropriately and was able to move on.”

It’s time to put some passion back into your life. What inspires you? What do you love to create?

Make time to do what it is that you love to do, and do not let anyone tell you that you do not have time to do it! Get a babysitter; book off an afternoon; get up an hour early; whatever it takes to make time for your life’s work. This is a magical time, full of creative energies, and by doing what you love, you will access a new level of manifestation into your consciousness.

When you are doing what you love to do, whether it is yoga, dance, music, meditation, art, cooking, sewing, woodwork, crafting, painting, sculpting, gardening, reading, hiking, spending time with your animals or pets… whatever it may be that you LOVE more than anything to do and makes your heart soar…. do that! And know as you do so, you raise your vibration to the very highest levels.

This is how you bring more joy into your life. It’s not by slaving away trying to make a few extra dollars; it’s not spending hours doing what you hate doing (although, yes I do realize that there are certain things that we are not getting out of just yet, like laundry, dishes and bills!).  The message is that joy comes from doing what you love, and the more joy you experience, the better. So make it a priority!

Find your joy and do it, unapologetically and with every ounce of your heart and soul.

Raise your vibration and become a magnet for miracles.

Tiger Lily, Tiger Nautilus:

“Oh, Tiger Lily!

My goddess, my grace

A vision like you stops a soul in its place

Such queenly compassion

Such posture and poise

Lets me know in an instant

You are unlike the boys.

So supple, symmetrical, shapely and smooth

Such balance and ease in the way that you move.

Your smile is of mercy,

Your manner of tact

Your beauty’s apparent in each tender act.

What love and kind charity shines on your face.

Oh, Tiger Lily!

My goddess, my grace.”
A graceful young woman, bedecked by bright tiger lilies, tenderly holds the shell of a tiger nautilus close to her bosom. Her choice of adornment is reflective of her feminine beauty and elegant style.”

Divination Message: “Embrace Your Femininity: The feminine power is a radiance that shines from women and girls who are securely anchored within their bodies and souls. Full of tenderness, love, beauty, and grace, the feminine power is soft yet strong. Now is the time to welcome this power – it is your right to be beautiful, inside and out! Awaken the queen inside you and let her blossom.”

Not a woman? Not a problem. Look for opportunities to get closer to a woman in your life, be it your mother, sister, lover or wife. Try looking through her eyes to help you get in touch with your feminine side and allow her spirit and compassion to influence some upcoming decisions.”

Antithesis (If this card comes to you as Challenger): “Own Your Masculine Side: Now is the time to take control and be assertive. Take some risks towards your ambitions! You have the courage and strength to do what you have always wanted to now is the time to do it.”*

~ by Jasmine Becket-Griffith, Amber Logan and Kachina Mickeletto

The Divine Feminine calls us… It is time, Dear One, to awaken the Goddess energies within. Tune into your intuition and see what it is telling you… have you been listening to your heart? Our Great Mother calls to us to reconnect to her Divine Loving energies.

How are you perceiving yourself these days? Are you appreciating yourself? Are you accepting of how you present yourself in your physical body in this lifetime? Are you gentle with the rhythms and cycles of your body and emotions? Unconditional love and acceptance starts with you. It is about showing compassion, forgiveness and love to every part of who you are, blessing how far you have come, and dedicating yourself to a more profound existence.

We are being called to bring out the innate healing wisdom and light within each and every one of us, male and female alike. But we are being guided to do it with our feminine sides. Our healing, nurturing and receptive sides. We are being asked to participate in the ascension of this amazing planet and all of her beings. Are you ready?

Every day you are being called to bless her. Every day sending her love and light. Every day appreciation and every day changes that will assist her when she needs it most. All of us together, the collective consciousness working as One. We can lift her as we lift ourselves.

These are magical and powerful times.

And so it is,
