Spirit Of Wisdom, from the Shaman’s Oracle, by John Matthews and Wil Kinghan

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Spirit Of Wisdom, from the Shaman’s Oracle, by John Matthews and Wil Kinghan

Spirit Of Wisdom: “I am the Spirit Of Wisdom. I put you in touch with the deeper levels of knowledge and transmute them into the gold of true understanding. With wisdom you can only grow brighter, and your route becomes clearer with every breath. Watch for my star in the heavens and draw strength from my companionship as you walk the many tangled paths of life.”

“Wisdom is much more than knowledge: it is the profound understanding of our purpose in the world, and an intuitive grasp of how to exercise sound judgment based on the experience we have acquired in the course of our lives. With the help of the Spirit Of Wisdom, we can access the deepest wells of understanding within our souls, and learn how to make the best possible use of what we know. The Spirit Of Wisdom enables us to navigate the road ahead, with realistic expectations – knowing what might and might not happen, for best and worst; and recognizing our destiny when we meet it.”

Interpretations: “Understanding, Truth, Progress Through Difficulties, Accessing Wisdom, Facing Doubts, Clearing the Way Ahead, Respecting The Potential Of All People, All Creatures and All Things.”

~by John Matthwes and Wil Kinghan

The magical practice of alchemy is the turning of lead into gold; old outmoded thought systems into new, high vibrational possibility. It is the transformation of perspective, the knowledge that the Universe is vast and magical, and that we are the creators of our own reality.

Again we are called upon to delve into the depths of our own true wisdom. Clearing and releasing the old, making space for the new. Feeling into our deep connection to the Universe, and knowing that the Divine Light shines within every living being. We are One with All That Is. We will treat ourselves, and each other, as well as every other creature on this planet with the reverence and respect it deserves. We will see the Divine in everything for it is the magic, it is the Love and it will lead the way.

The Spirit Of Wisdom is here to ask us to take a deeper look at our lives. What is it we are truly willing to create? Is it really the material we are after? Or is there so much more to appreciate on this amazing planet? How can we be of service to our Great Mother Gaia in her ascension process? And how can we undertake our own ascension process with grace and ease.

What else is possible? How can we be a force of wisdom, healing, Love and Light in a time of apparent struggle and darkness? Could this possibly be what is needed, a shift in perspective? An opening of the heart and mind, a rising above the threat of the darkness?

Take these questions and ponder them one at a time. What comes to you? Where do the answers lie? Ask the trees to assist you. Communicate with the stars and the moon. Request guidance from your animal spirit guides. And look inward for the wisdom that lies within.

Shaman Of Stars

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Shaman Of Stars, from The Shamans Oracle; Oracle Cards for Ancient Wisdom and Guidance by  John Matthews

Shaman Of Stars: “I am the Shaman of Stars. I bring the Heavens down to Earth. I drink in the beauty of the sky, swallow this elixir, and give it back as a transformative energy to all. I sign the song of the Heavens, and I show how starry wisdom can transform and re-energize you when you have walked the path for a long time and grown tired. I bring a blessing to you, and the restoration of strength when it is most needed.

The Shaman Of Stars

Patterns in the heavens have guided us from the most ancient times, and celestial magic is every bit as effective today as it was thousands of years ago. In this image the shaman reaches out to capture the energy of the stars and draw this blessing down to Earth, positively transforming those who receive it. Just as the messages of the stars can transform a moment in time, so the Shaman of Stars, wherever he appears in a reading, may enhance the meaning of the other cards; or if drawn on its own, the card may imply access to the deepest levels of wisdom and understanding.

Interpretations: Starry wisdom. Recognizing ancestral paths and relationships. Transformative energy. Changes in direction. Reassessment. Awareness of higher purpose.”*

~by  John Matthews

Do you get out under the stars and feel their magic? It is revitalizing to your Soul. We actually receive information from the Cosmos every time we turn our face to the sky, daytime or night. But there is something extra magical about a starry night.

We can see the most stars when the moon is new, and as much as I love the deep pull of the moon, there is a powerful force deep within us that is stirred by the stars. We are of the stars, our DNA made of the galaxies, our planet an intricate part of the dance of our amazing solar system. When we gaze at the stars we see movement, we feel expansion, we get downloads of awareness and enlightenment. We clear our energy and still our minds. We experience the ancient mystery and magic of the a force too enormous for our minds to grasp. Yet we can tap into our own connection to it just by experiencing it. Just by taking the time to be still; opening our hearts, clearing our minds, receptive to whatever comes. We are just two days from the new moon, so as long as the skies are clear, you should be able to soak in some starlight over the next couple of evenings. Be sure to watch for shooting stars too, which are a sign of confirmation and inspiration sent to us straight from the Universe.

Consider bringing a warm blanket and lying down under the stars. Soak in the energy of infinite possibility with all of your senses and embrace it in gratitude and love. Feel your connection to All That Is, and let your spirits be uplifted knowing that there is so much wisdom out there, and so much love to receive.

If ever you are feeling overwhelmed; or feel that you need some guidance, or help to move forward… get out under the stars. Visualize your situation and allow the answers you seek to come to you. Know that you are part of something all encompassing, ancient, beautiful and profound.

Stardust.

Nine Of Arrows

Published January 9, 2018 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Nine Of Arrows, from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, artwork by Will Worthington

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Nine Of Arrows, from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, artwork by Will Worthington

Nine Of Arrows: “Dedication”

Card Description: “A figure clad in skin robes decorated with patterns of leaves, stands in a clearing amid the Wildwood. She is holding a bow as though it were an instrument, the back of the bow cradled in her arms and an arrow held against the string as if it were the bow on a fiddle. Around her, repulsed by an invisible shield, are another eight arrows.”

Card Meaning: “The spiritual warrior dedicates their arrows of inspiration by playing the bow as an instrument of summoning. The inner oath helps keep one on a balanced footing by dedicating skills to a greater good.”

Reading Points: “To heed the calling to dedicate one’s life to any skill, spiritual path, belief system or philosophy requires sincerity, self-discipline, and hard work. It is a sacred summoning that requires time and effort. For those who hear the calling and become spiritual warriors and protectors of the land, responsibility and sacrifice are also required. To deny that the human species has had a negative effect on the planet’s climate and atmosphere seems totally redundant. The growing awareness of our individual impact on the ecosystem may take on greater significance in the future. We cannot predict what effect our avarice and rapacious exploitation of the land will eventually produce, bu the dedicated defender of the soil must protect the living legacy we leave for our children. To teach by example the value of respecting other’s beliefs and philosophies in honouring the land is immensely important. Sometimes a simple daily ritual reminds us of the oath we have taken to conserve and protect the environment. Dedicate yourself to the task of preserving the land and be a part of making a difference.”*

~ By Mark Ryan and John Matthews

To me she represents the Devic or Elemental realm… how her hair ends in feathers and leaves cover her scarf… her robes blending with the growth patterns of the trunk of the tree. She is slightly forlorn, but also very focused on the task at hand. She is using her arrows in the most magical way; as instruments of peace and scared service, not as weapons in the traditional sense. She wishes only to heal, to assist, and to send her intention out far and wide knowing as she does so, she is capable of making a difference.

Just as each and every one of us can make a difference as we change our ways. As we choose healthy lifestyle choices for ourselves, our families and our Sacred Mother, Gaia. We choose sustainable resources, we choose not to use plastic, and we choose to reduce, reuse, and recycle. We can choose to plant a garden or a tree and nurture it free of chemicals. We can choose to support local farmers and businesses. We can choose to walk, bike or take public transport or to share transportation with others.

We can choose to make a difference. A big difference.

And this difference is made one person at a time, one choice at a time. Coming together as the collective to say NO where the governments do not bother. Where the laws do not support the environment or the people. We can use our leverage as a whole to put companies out of business by simply not purchasing from them. But learning to grow our own crops. By not stepping foot in the big box stores… or at least slowly weaning ourselves off. By choosing experiences over possessions. By refusing to fill our living spaces with clutter and stuff. By teaching our children that a plastic toy that lasts a few min at hand and a millenia in the landfill is simply not an option.

We can set an example by being different, choosing differently and living by our own code. And encouraging others to do the same. Teaching the children to do the same. Building strong communities.

Because no one is going to make these changes for us. And by the time they catch up it will most likely be too late.

Choose today, right now, to do something differently every day. Bring your own bags. Bring your own cup to the coffee shop. Shop at the local consignment shop. Donate what you are not using to someone who needs it. Plan a garden, even if it means a few pots on your patio. Plant a tree. Do something that makes a difference. And do it with ease, grace and the joy of helping to heal the damage that has been done. The damage that we can no longer sustain, make excuses for or tolerate.

For our Great Mother.

And so it is

Queen Of Stones ~ Bear

Queen Of Stones ~ Bear, from The Wild Wood Tarot Card deck, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, artwork by Will Worthington

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Queen Of Stones ~ Bear, from The Wild Wood Tarot Card deck, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, artwork by Will Worthington

Queen Of Stones ~ Bear
Position on the Wheel: “Approaching Midwinter”

Meaning Of The Card: “The ancient ancestor of the modern bear, the cave bear hibernated in caves during the cold northern winter. Neanderthals buried their skulls here and even shared their caves during some periods. Often linked to Arthurian legend, the Bear is a symbol of the power and protection of the land.

Reading Points: “Richness and plenty surround you. Your bounty and welcoming nature make you popular with all. Many depend on you, and your natural sensuality makes you powerfully attractive to others. Pragmatism and generosity open doorways at every point.”

As A Person In Your Life: “This is a practical and welcoming person. She or he delights in prosperity and luxury, though she can also have a natural and wholesome simplicity. As a friend, she is loyal, keeping faith with you and being frank about issues needing improvement. She may be a treasurer or a curator of tradition, but she can also be a hoarder or a squanderer, as well as a demanding or timid individual.”

As An Aspect Or Process: “Learning to manage things wisely, preserve things of value, make things better, provide amenities. Be careful of wasting resources.”

As An Event or Happening: “If you practice a craft or design, be expansive and liberal. A group or community. Putting the family first. Right or wrong. Refusing to nurture.”

Questions: “How can you best promote well-being here? Where can you make space to care for yourself or others? What needs to be preserved?”

Tracks and Pathways: “Power and generosity. Punctiliousness. A demanding individual. Confidence. Frankness. Assurance. Prosperity.”*

~ By Mark Ryan and John Matthews

This is a message of power, strength, and using your inner resources to your highest advantage in the most honourable way. It is a card of fearlessness, confidence and self-worth. It is no coincidence that the background is full of gold and orange. Solar Plexus and Sacral Chakras:  self-belief, creativity, innate skills and talents are all at play here. Also the dawn, new beginnings, opportunities and fresh starts. Be the confident mama bear. Know your worth and refuse to back down. Be empowered. Believe in yourself. And only good will come of it.

It is important that as you stand in your power, you hold the intention that your actions and words be for the absolute highest integrity. This is not about power trips or being more powerful than another. If you are more powerful than another, you will be the mama bear and protect and nurture them as needed, then set them free to fend for themselves with the knowledge you have shared. You are an inspiration, a mentor and a positive example to those around you. Share what you have and know that the Universe will send more.

You are magnetic now, and will attract the right people and opportunities to you as you set your intention to be for the Highest Good. Others will be drawn to you for your authenticity, your abilities and your inner strength. There is sensuality at play here too. You are most attractive when you are just being you. Know this and embody it fully. Release the need to be anything other than exactly who you are.

Ace Of Wands

Published November 8, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Ace Of Wands, from the Wild Wood Tarot, By Mark Ryan and John Matthews,

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Ace Of Wands, from the Wild Wood Tarot, By Mark Ryan and John Matthews, artwork by Will Worthington

Ace Of Wands: “The Breath Of Life”

Card Description: “The head of the Uffington White Horse, outlined on the green grass of the downs, stares out at us from the card. An arrow lands above the eye, pointing outward to all possible futures. Spiraling wisps of energy issue from its mouth. The eye of the horse shines with energy.”

Card Meaning: “The Uffington chalk hill figure breathes the vitality of life – a renewal of vitality combined with knowledge of where you wish to be and how to get there. It is believed that if you stand on the eye of the Uffington White Horse and make a wish, you will gain wisdom and your wish will come true.”

Reading Points: “By breathing life into a thought and pursuing it to its material creation in the real world, we engage in an ancient and unique relationship with the universe and the divine. Our minds are linked to a greater consciousness, its power and effectiveness waiting only for the question. As the first formation of an idea or concept crystallizes in your mind, the primal creative energy connects your conscious desire. Clarity of purpose is the key. Sometimes an unconscious impulse or drive makes you aware of a hidden issue or need. Such issues may appear in dreams, often signalling their presence in this way because of a lack of attention paid to them, or a lack of confidence in our own processes and abilities. Our unique connection with the universe ensures that those issues are brought into our everyday awareness.”*

~ By Mark Ryan and John Matthews

To grasp the opportunity on offer we must move forward with a plan of action. Things are not going to happen to us or for us; without our energy as the driving force we cannot get to where we need to be. Thought, intention, commitment and dedication mixed with a good dose of confidence are needed here. What you want is yours, but you must go and get it!

This is fantastic news! Knowing that you can have what you want. That all you must do is throw your heart and soul into the creation of it… the co-creation. You are not alone here, there is assistance. There is synchronicity, the right people will come to you when you need them most. The doors will open when you are ready to step through them. Know it with every fiber of your being. Talk to your guides, listen carefully to your intuition. Do not let fear get in the way. Do not be dissuaded by past pain. Do not doubt your capability. You have what you need in order to move forward. Your resources are within you.

Make your wish and then walk towards the stars to claim it.

Three Of Bows

Three Of Bows from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, artwork by Will Worthingtonartwork by Kiri Ostergaard Leonard

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Three Of Bows from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, artwork by Will Worthington

Three Of Bows: “Fulfillment”

Card Description: “A robed figure stands at the junction of two ways, one hand raised in blessing, the other holding a bow. Two bow staves, make from freshly cut branches, trimmed but still rough hewn, stand planted in the earth on either side of the road, forming a gateway through which the figure offers welcome to the approaching traveler.”

Meaning Of The Card: “Nourishment from a spiritual source gives inner security and joy. Goals and desires are reached, making life rich with emotional scrutiny and a sense of completion.”

Reading Points: “The archer must be at one with the bow to fully direct its potential energy, and just as the arrow passes through the bow, propelling it to its target with effortless grace, the questing heart and seeker of knowledge allows the energy to flow through him. This combination of balanced energy and intellectual focus enables the mastering of any situation and allows your arrows to fly completes an unseen, universal circuit. The inner stillness and focus thus produced is easily apparent and observable to others, and builds a sense of trust, confidence and security in those for whom you are responsible. This inner shining energy will inspire others to start out on their own path of discovery and sojourn to fulfillment.”

~ By Mark Ryan and John Matthews

The double serpents entwined represents the caduceus, the symbol of healing, life and spiritual wisdom. It is male and female energy in perfect balance. It is the spiral of DNA, our very makeup. It is the kundalini energy rising, chakras aligning, the body opening like a vessel connecting the Earth below to the Universe above. It is a very powerful symbol.

The man raises his hand in a blessing, palm raised to the sky. This also symbolizes the flowing of the reciprocal energy between heaven and Earth, above and below. His bow is lowered, a sign of peace. There is a feeling of momentum, his cloak flying behind him in the wind. He is a formidable figure, one to be honoured and respected. He stands before the world tree on what appears to be the edge of a cliff. Two trails wind on either side of the tree; signifying a decision to be made. The fact that his face is hidden and you must pass on either side signifies that the decision on which way to go is yours to make.

Which way will you go?

The Three Of Bows is a card of fulfillment. This means that the way you choose will be the one that most satisfies your heart’s desires. Only you know how to make this decision. All your resources are within you. You have everything you need in order to move forward.

Set your intention, follow your heart and let your intuition guide your way.

The Moon On Water

Published August 7, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

The Moon On Water, from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, Artwork by Will Worthington

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Moon On Water, from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, Artwork by Will Worthington

The Moon On Water:
Position on the Wheel: “The Moon On Water is placed at the womb of the Wheel, the Midwinter Solstice on 21 December and the dark sun. It’s element is Earth and it is at the gateway of the soul. It is the mystic still point where ideas and desires change from pure thought to objective reality.”

Card Description: “A full moon rising above primal swampland illuminates a dark winter sky. The fallow landscape is dotted with the hardy marsh reeds that survive and thrive in the peat-enriched water. A primal egg lies submerged in the nutrient rich swamp full of potential energy and creative power. The bare trees reach up  towards the sky and await the return of spring as a flight of crows and a heron circle above. A lone aurochs moves across the mysterious landscape.

The moon is the nearest companion to us in the solar system and it physically affects the tides and cycles of life on Earth, but its power goes far beyond that. In the primal world of the Wildwood, the moon also becomes the sacred and mysterious light that illuminates the darkness of the utter void. It is therefore a symbol of all the unconscious or unrealized insights into human reality.”

Card Meaning: “In the image of full of potential energy and creative power. The bare trees reach up  there is no visible pathway for the traveler, and yet its reflective light illuminates the whole landscape. We stand at the edge of the watery marsh, representing the primordial emotional state that holds all potential and creative energy within the human psyche, and are drawn to the horizon where moon meets Earth beyond the barren trees. Beyond the flight of the sacred heron lies the fusion of our ancestral soul with the soul of the Earth.

Before us is the primal egg, submerged in the amniotic fluid of the world, waiting for the creative impulse that begins the process of life. The aurochs’ horns represent fertility as well as the horns of the waxing and waning moon. The shape of the horns and the head resemble the womb and fallopian tubes. In Mithraic and Druidic tradition, the bull or ox also had a sacrificial role at midwinter, representing the coming of new life from the ‘death’ of winter. The heron is a sacred totem bird of fertility and is also known in Ireland as siothlagh a bhoga, meaning ‘sheelag of the boglands’, a euphemism for a promiscuous woman, although in the form of a stork the bird takes over the mysteries of reincarnation, offering powerful insights into the mystery of life itself.

The Moon On Water signifies the first steps beyond earthly awareness across the primal emotions void of creation. She also encompasses the dark-moon aspects of fertility, sexuality and initiation as well as the irrational fear of the creatures that are associated with the night such as faeries and demons and other hidden or unseen shapes of ancestral memory.”

Reading Points: “The Moon On Water heralds a time of inner transformation, initiation or awareness. This may take the form of a seemingly random situation based in the emotional or spiritual spheres, but your inner voice may have been whispering for some time and gone unheeded. Now your soul brings into your physical world the symbolic keys to the collective human subconscious. This may take the form of a desire to investigate or study a doctrine, philosophy or esoteric pursuit, or the wish to explore untapped sexual energy and experience a tighter spiritual bond with a partner through honesty and the expression of your hidden desires. From here, you can begin to wrestle with the concept that consciousness is not within you, but that you are within the consciousness of the universe.”

Roots and Branches: “The dark of the moon. Rebirth. The still point of potential. The path of the moon on the water. The gateway of the Soul. The tides of emotion and consciousness. The primal source of intuition and initiation.”*

~ by Mark Ryan and John Matthews

Interesting that this card of the full moon talks about the dark of the moon. Today is no ordinary full moon as we have a lunar eclipse to amplify the energies. The full moon is a time of heightened emotions and the bringing to the surface of those emotions which usually run so deep we feel that they have been buried forever. This particular full moon and eclipse is asking us to dig really deep and bring it all up to the surface, once and for all. This is the time to bless and release that which we have carried with us for far too long. Lifetimes perhaps. Old pain, old trauma, old wounds will all come bubbling up. Instead of taking the mighty effort to stuff them back down, be courageous enough instead to sit with them. Take them out one by one and turn them thoughtfully in the light of the moon. See them from every angle. Breathe them in. Hold it. Feel it. Bless it. And release it one final time with forgiveness and gratitude for the lessons learned. Exhale.

Not to add any pressure, but whether you choose to surrender to this process will have an impact not only on the rest of this year and the nine year cycle to follow, but quite possibly the rest of your days here in this incarnation. As I said, no pressure!

Why pack that baggage around any longer? Why not finally sort through it and let go of all that no longer serves you? Why not step into the 8:8 Lion’s Gateway portal of energy lighter than you ever thought possible? It is tomorrow after all…
