Daily Angel Oracle Card: Shooting Star, from the Chronicles of Destiny Fortune Cards, by Josephine Ellershaw and Emily Ellershaw, artwork by Claudia McKinney

The Moral Of The Story Is: “Good omens. Good luck and good fortune. Bright prospects. Persevere in your goal. Believe in yourself.”

Shooting Star: “Feeling a sense of relief and optimism through the camaraderie of kindred spirits who have welcomed them into their makeshift camp, the Seeker makes their way through painted caravans to find their sleeping quarters. Under the silent witness of the golden moon, a shooting star bursts into life, scattering silver trails as if it falls from the sky. The Seeker catches a glimpse of its brief but radiant passage, feeling heartened that the omen bodes well for the future.”

Card Definition: “Shooting Star is a card of good omens and indicates bright prospects ahead. It encourages you to believe in yourself and to persevere with goals and dreams. Whilst The Dreamcatchers acts like a protective amulet, the Shooting Star is a card that foretells good fortune.

A shooting star is a meteoroid and, if it survives the impact with Earth’s atmosphere, the resulting stone is a meteorite, much revered by ancient civilizations for their magical properties as a heavenly gift. Our fascination with the stars goes back thousands of years, so they often feature in legends, perhaps best known through Greek mythology.

In the starlit sky, a shooting star stands out against the rest, so, in the right circumstances, it may also indicates fame. As one of the most positive cards in the deck, it represents good luck and good fortune.”*

Happy December… the last 31 days of 2017. We are starting off this month with a blessing of luck and good fortune…. but it all hinges on our ability to receive it. Do not step into this magical month with worries about stress, family, finances and the overburden of the holiday season. If this is how you normally see December, then it is up to you to create something different… and to step into the flow of it.

December is my month. I’m a Sagittarius. Forever optimistic and adventurous… although I often feel more than a little stagnant these days while deeply immersed in routine! However, to me, December has always had so much sparkle to it. The lights go up. People are happy, socializing and dressing up. There is a certain anticipation to the month. And I am determined to keep that going, even as a single mother. I could make it into something stressful and overwhelming. I could focus on the extra money spent, the expectations. But I refuse to think of my favourite month in this way. I ask for more than that. What else is possible? What can I create with this? I’m pretty organized too, I’ve been stashing stuff away for weeks now because I knew that I wanted to greet this month with arms, heart and mind wide open and welcome all it has to offer. And this is not due to any particular religious beliefs… Christmas is what it is to everyone, whether Christian or not, I do feel that December is a special month, the energies of the year culminating to make something magical to take us into the fast approaching new year.

Today we start this sparkly month with a positive omen which will be carried through the weekend. Good luck and good fortune. A little extra magic. Warmth, abundance and the promise of the full moon energies to amplify it all. I read the astrology, and I have to say, each new moon and full moon this year has held such powerful energy. Lessons deep and karmic. This one is in Gemini, the sign of polarities… the mind that could change on a whim. Or, if both aspects are brought together, Gemini balanced can be a most powerful creator. Which one do you choose? Which energy will you work with?

Mercury is still on our side for another day or two, then will go retrograde, which I have to say I find far less scary and annoying to me these days. It’s more about introspection, inner work and standing our ground through the storm and chaos around us. If we know what we want and we are willing to stick to our guns, Mercury cannot throw us off course and we can giggle at the little ups and downs it brings as it throws our technology for a loop, sets communication off course and forces us to be crystal clear in our focus.

Meet this month with anticipation of something new. An opportunity to move forward into the new year victorious. Know that the opportunity before you is the right one, be bold and make your move. Good fortune awaits you.

Weaver Of Words

The Moral Of The Story Is: “Small ideas with big potential, ideas taking off and taking form. The power of words, tact and diplomacy. Writers.”

“Armed with new information, members of the Fellowship use the diversity of their skills to chart their course and forge a plan to invade the Dark Kingdom. Recognizing the strengths gained from magical helpers who have aided them on their journey, they seek out assistance from the Weaver of Words.

The Seekers wait, mesmerized by the golden cloud of letters that jostle and juggle as if to her will before she plucks them from the air, spinning the words like yarn from her pen, as she weaves the fabric of their destiny upon the page.”

Card Definition: “When we read great works by celebrated authors, we can be left in awe by the magic they have woven with their pens. They take an idea, then skillfully and creatively craft the words upon the written page into a work of art that holds us spellbound.

The Weaver Of Words card shows small ideas with big potential, ideas taking off and taking form. Whilst the process may begin with a small idea, it is then the careful work you put into something that will ultimately transform it into a successful outcome.

This card may also remind you of the power of words, for just as the Weaver Of Words plucks them from the golden cloud that surrounds her, it is how they are used and ordered that can either elevate or destroy, and so it may advise tact and diplomacy at this time.

For writers, this card may be representative of the craft.”*

As Twitter has shown us, words are extremely powerful; maybe more so than we have given them credit. Words can be used to praise and uplift, and words can be used to provoke, disturb and belittle. Every word uttered has a vibration, an energy that accompanies it. Every word spoken aloud has an impact, either positive or negative. Written words have longevity, often carrying emotions long past the time they were written; the author may have found peace while the words still hold their punishment. Words can soothe, they can persuade, they can celebrate or they can condemn. Words can make the heart soar; as they can crush it to smithereens. They can embolden, invoking courage or they can frighten and coerce. They can speak the heart’s deepest desires or be dangerous, deceptive, false or misleading. Words can be used to paint colourful pictures and bring stories to life in our wild imaginations; they are the tools of our ancestors who passed their heritage on from spoken word to mind and heart. Yet we often throw them around without a thought of how they may affect others; or come back to haunt us. Once out there, words cannot be retrieved.

I started this blog because I want to help us feel better about our lives and our role in creating our reality. More in control. Empowered, individually and collectively. I desire to connect us with something higher and more profound than what we would see on the news; which always appears full of fear that is constantly threatening to suffocate us. I want to plant seeds of hope when we don’t know what to do; when we feel alone, isolated, or weary of the world. I want these words to heal, to protect, to inspire and motivate. To uplift. To assist people to shut the doors that need shutting. To throw open the new doors fearlessly. To dream bigger. To aim higher. And to have faith in themselves and the power of the Universe. I do it to teach; myself and others. I am learning too as I go.

We are working through middle school here at home. Learning the power of words when used to sting, to bring someone down, to compete and win. We are learning that words spoken behind someone’s back often boomerang right back around at you. And that a kind word uplifts not just the receiver but the speaker too. We are learning the power of compassion and acceptance, for self and for others, and using our words accordingly.

Words are powerful tools. Use them at  your discretion. Be mindful of what you are putting out there; and know that somehow, someday, it will all come back to you.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Fellowship, from the Chronicles Of Destiny Fortune Card deck, by Josephine Ellershaw and Emily Ellershaw, artwork by Claudia McKinney

The Moral of the Story is: “Friendship and loyalty, reliable and steadfast. Helpful friends and allies lending support. Teamwork.”

The Fellowship: “A rustling in the bushes alerts the Seeker that they are no longer alone and they find they are surrounded as others materialize from the undergrowth. An archer keeps vigilant watch on the periphery of the group, poised ready to spring into action. The Seeker is startled by their presence, but they approach with a gesture of friendship.

A man moves forward from the group and approaches with a sword, ‘I believe this belongs to you; we found it washed up  on the beach, but by  the time we arrived, you had already gone.’

The Seeker thanks him as they accept their sword, once again feeling its power thrum through their fingers, ‘But who are  you?’

The others move closer in to join the conversation. ‘We are seekers here the same as you; we have separate quests, but share a similar purpose and common enemy. Alone we may fail, but together we could find victory through the support of our fellowship.’

Card Definition: “The Fellowship card represents friends and people you can rely upon who are loyal and steadfast; the placement in the spread will indicate the part they will play. This is also a card of teamwork, pooling your diverse strengths and talents to achieve a common goal. It may represent one particular friend or a group of like-minded individuals.

This is normally a card of allies, unless surrounding cards suggest otherwise.”*

When we have done the work on the inside, we will see the results in our external reality. We are working closely with our Team, our angels and guides have been assisting us, giving us signs and messages, guiding us through our obstacles and blockages, and helping us to release illusions and old belief systems. Yup, they really have their work cut out for them! As we redefine who we really are from the inside out, we open our hearts and minds to allow for new people to enter our lives.

Someone new is coming to you now and they will help you to open a new door to possibility. It may be a mentor or friend. It may be a lover or romantic partner. It could even be a new job offer, new co-worker or a new landlord, roomie or tenant. Each situation will be different depending on where you, personally, are at. What you have been wishing and wanting to come to you, will in fact come to you. But you need a little assistance. This new person or people are key. Do not turn down any invitations at this time, you never know who you might meet. Chance encounters are much easier to facilitate if you actually leave  your house!

Do not worry if this does not happen today, although it is absolutely a possibility. Just know that in the near future, you will find your tribe, your group of people who are just like you. One person in particular will stand out. Like the guardian of the gate, they have a lesson for you, and will lead you onward into a new chapter. Trust your intuition and follow your heart.
