Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Mind, from the Chakra Insight Oracle Card deck, by Caryn Sangster, artwork by Amy Edwards Published by Blue Angel Publishing

The Mind: “Openness, Flexibility, Imagination, Learning”

“Your mind is the architect of your experience. There is no limit to what it can create.”

Card Story: “Within the calm focus of a single moment, a young woman trusts enough to look within. Through the window of her mind, she is drawn through stars and galaxies, beyond preconceived notions of the possible, into the far reaches of the Universe. Her heart is open. Her spirit soars. She is at peace, aligned with the infinite beauty of her true nature. Mind.”

Card Message: “Ancient wisdom keepers knew that the best way to harvest the infinite power of the mind was to keep it focused upon the highest aspects of truth. Through mantras, prayers, songs and communions, they trained their minds to deliver clear visions to the infinite wellspring of their subconscious. In this way, they created worlds.

Our mind can be our greatest ally and our most challenging foe. With our mind we focus the lens of our being and with that focus, energy grows into our reality. Close your eyes for a moment and capture a snapshot of your thoughts. Are they holding visions of your highest potential or are they spiraling in the other direction?

It is time to sharpen your awareness of the activity of your mind and to call upon this incredible resource to be a true and trusted guide. Train your mind to focus on the positive aspect of life and to remain open to new concepts and ideas. Whether you enroll in a class, learn a new skill or enter a new meditation practice, now is a great time to expand your knowledge – and enrich your ability to harness your true mental power.

Part of developing the gift of our mind is to learn how to focus, while remaining open to new ideas and higher ways of thinking. We must resist the temptation to get locked down to what we think we know. Be willing to let go of rigid judgments and fixed perceptions. Stay loose and open to the potential of something new entering your mind.

This card also encourages you to take time to dream and to use your imagination. Time to allow free flowing thoughts and to strengthen the more creative side of your mind. Time to trust your intuition and make choices occasionally from a ‘hunch’ or a feeling rather than from a well thought-out rational plan. Just allow your mind to settle and follow the flow of life. A calm centered mind can easily align with the flow of higher guidance. Find out what creative, imaginative places your mind can travel to, if you let it loose!

Expand and free your mind… and the rest will follow.”

~ By Caryn Sangster

The mind unleashed is our most powerful tool. Not out of control, but just free of the limitations we put on ourselves. The ego keeps us in check. It worries for us, keeps us ‘safe’ and protected from harm. It keeps us small, telling us how things might go terribly wrong if we put ourselves out there. It reminds us of all the other times things did not go as planned, and demands that we stay fearful, doubting our true potential.

But this is an invitation to see what else is possible. Where else can the mind wander? What can it create, dream up, imagine. Practicing mindfulness can bring a new awareness to how we are holding ourselves back. We can see where we dream something up, get inspired but do not take the necessary action to bring it to life. Where we let fear take the wheel. We choose the safety of the known, even if it feels old and stagnant. We stay small when we could step out into the world in a much bolder way.

Open your mind up. Give yourself a chance to explore. Meditate, contemplate, expand your awareness. Make new choices. Create something new.

It all starts in the mind: the dreaming, the exploring, the creating. But then the next step comes. Action. Bringing it from the unmanifest to the manifest. Breathing it to life. Taking the risk.

Take the time to dream and conjure, but know that action is also required. Again we are reminded that March is a month of doing, not just dreaming. It is of putting your focused intention into birthing something new.

The High Priestess

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The High Priestess, from the Shadowscapes Oracle Card deck, by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law, artwork by Barbara Moore

The High Priestess: “The The High Priestess opens herself to the sky. She basks in the radiance the stars cast upon her upturned cheeks. She soaks in that tremulous, incandescent light, feeling it glow within her mind, opening corridors and dancing into filigree patterns.”

The Stars Chant:

“We were here when the mountains were young
and the sea was only a dream…
we’ve seen the hills bloom with countless
millions of seasons…
we’ve watched the clouds paint their visions
in a slow language across the centuries…
let us speak.”

‘The owl hoots in the darkness, calling out to his mistress with the music of the night. His white feathers gleam in the moonlight as if with a light from within. He glides through the darkness to come to rest near her.

In the gloom, the night is full of whispers – the secret knowledge of the stars, of the trees, and of the earth. The spirits of each murmur their collected stories and their wisdom in a sibilant descant.

She weaves those sounds through her fingers, drawing the voices into physical being, and in her fingers, a filigree key coalesces. She calls the owl to her. ‘Take this, and be the bearer of secrets,’ she tells him.

Card Meaning: “Wisdom, knowledge, learning, intuition, purity, virtue. The High Priestess lifts her arms out, and in that gesture, her very body becomes the living symbol of a chalice. The owl is a keeper of knowledge, and he bears a key to unlock mysteries. The pomegranate is an icon of Persephone, who tasted the seeds and thus tied herself to Hades; it is the fruit of fertility and death. The moons embroidered upon her garments wax and wane, the new crescent and gibbous moons that create the full cycle embraced in one.”*

~ By Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

There is openness and receptivity here as she spreads her arms wide, palms to the cosmos and receives what is hers for the taking; knowledge, wisdom, abundance. She rises up above the drama, the watery depths of the third dimension of consciousness, refusing to be caught up in the darkness and chaos. Her hair flows up above her head connecting into the Universal flow, Crown chakra activated and connected. She is both the Sun and the Moon. She has feathers of both black and white, suggestive of the polarity of the physical existence… the isolation, the connection to All That Is.

You are the living Chalice, you have the ability to access all that the Universe has to offer, all resides within you. You are a vessel of Love and of Light. You are the beacon, you are the portal, you are the connection.

Rise above the mundane, the worry, the doubt, the fear and the drama and find this aspect of yourself. Channel in all that it has to offer you. Lifetimes of the wisdom gleaned from lessons learned. The secrets of healing. The magic and mystery of the Universe.

Within you lies the Holy Grail

Two of Pentacles

Two of Pentacles, from the Green Witch Tarot, by Ann Moura artwork by Kiri Ostergaard Leonard

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Two of Pentacles, from the Green Witch Tarot, by Ann Moura artwork by Kiri Ostergaard Leonard

Two of Pentacles: “This card shows a farmer balancing two pentacles, indicating his ability to balance finances as well as learn new skills, as progress in his area of expertise creates changes in methods. As a card of practicing dexterity, this card indicates energy being directed with determination to accomplish something for job, financial, or personal security. New approaches at work or a promotion could require specialized training, but the person has the ability to pick up these new skills with ease. While others may struggle or resist change, this person moves with confidence, adapting easily to new situations and requirements. The farmer depicted is unconcerned about the coming storm, for he knows his job and has secured his barn, so he is prepared for anything.

In some cases this card indicates balancing two jobs for financial security, but with the resolve necessary to carry on until finances improve. It could also be a card of apprenticeship, learning from a master or other professional, or it could simply show the need to live within a budget, depending on surrounding cards.

Patchouli, an herb of growth, knowledge and balancing finances, grows by the barn. A fox, for adaptability, cleverness, determination and agility, walks nearby.”

Two of Pentacles Card Meaning: “Balancing finances, learning new skills, agile with finances, energy for attaining goals, next phase in work begins, employment opportunity, a learning stage passes quickly, weighing work choices or options for a business decision.”

Two of Pentacles As Challenger: “Difficult situation requires a careful balance, a need to live within means, lack of enthusiasm for changes needed for success, stress.”

Prompt Words: “Balancing finances, learning new skills”

~ By Ann Moura

There is a message of balance here, and also a message of choice; of weighing one’s options. There may be a polarity here – a big decision to make between two very different outcomes. The way that he is holding the pentacles indicates that really, the decision has already been made; within your heart of hearts, you know exactly which choice must be made… it is the choice that uplifts your spirits, even if it seems daunting or scary at first, you simply know this is the right choice for you. Notice that the man has a hint of a smile on his face as he gazes up at the pentacle on his right, his foot raised as if he is about to dance. He, the fox and the rooster on the rooftop all point in the same direction; this is also confirmation. There is more light in the sky on his right side, letting you know that your decision will be supported by the Universe, and that the future is bright. The impending storm in the background indicates that there is some urgency here; this is a decision that must be made soon, you simply cannot sit on the fence forever.  Fox is quick witted and agile; able to assess a situation and pounce without holding back and losing his chance. He is asking that you do the same; trust in your instincts and intuition and take the reins when the window of opportunity opens to you. The doors of the barn are closed, indicating that one chapter is ended and a brand new beginning is on offer to you now.

You know what you need to do in order to move forward.

Do it now

Goblins, from The Enchanted Map Oracle Card deck, by Colette Baron-Reid

Goblins, from The Enchanted Map Oracle Card deck, by Colette Baron-Reid

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Goblins, from The Enchanted Map Oracle Card deck, by Colette Baron-Reid

Goblins: “Fear is an illusion. Choose love today. Forgive yourself and others.”

“Goblins are born when you are wounded and something essential is lost in that experience. From that point on, as you forget your wholeness, they remain with you in the shadows. There, they will remind you of what brought them into being, by mimicking your own voice, tricking you into believing that you are not worthy, victimized, or unlovable. They hold you hostage through low self-worth, self-sabotage, and the feeling that you are lacking what you need.

If Goblins pay you a visit, know that they represent the shadow of your own self, or someone else’s, and that the are leading you into a potentially reactive situation. A Goblins card’s appearance is an opportunity for growth, however, and a signal that you must love yourself. No human is without flaws. The Goblins’ message is that you must release resentments and negative self-talk. Within you is the spark of the Divine. Ask Spirit to help heal you. Miracles can and do happen. Let go of the negativity.

If this card comes to you as challenger: “It is often difficult to deal with someone else’s issues, because they impact your own. No one is perfect, but in this case, you are particularly vulnerable to being manipulated. Do not take this world personally. When the Goblins card arrives as your challenger, it is a sign to step back with detachment. Do not let other people’s “stuff” lead you into reacting from an old wound. Love yourself unconditionally. Set boundaries and your Goblins will fall asleep. Love is the only answer.”*

~ By Colette Baron-Reid

Goblins, goblins, goblins…. How do we banish those pesky beasts who lurk in the corners of our minds, telling us that we are not good enough, reminding us that last time we tried this, something went wrong. How do we banish them forever, refusing to buy into their fear mongering, their pessimistic attitudes and their focus on that “worst case scenario.” We don’t need Goblins any more!!!

Firstly, coax them out of the corners and get a good look at that sandwich board they are wearing, or the protest sign they are holding. What does it say? Where did that message come from? Was it a childhood trauma? A rejection? A poor choice or past mistake? Tell them to pass it over, you will take care of it from now on.

Take a good look at that sign. What do these words really mean to you? How can you transform the message into something you can work with in the future? Go ahead and tear up that old sign, it’s time for it to go. Tell the Goblin he’s free now too, off with him, good riddance!

Now for the fun part! You get to re-write your sign, and you get to hold it high, yourself. Seriously. Grab a piece of paper, doesn’t have to be big. Write the flip side of that great big fear on it… for example:

I AM worthy of Love

I AM financially independant

I AM successful

I AM healthy and whole

I AM fearless

I AM free

Whatever resonates with YOU. Place it somewhere you can see it, like on your fridge, or on the corner of your computer or your bathroom mirror and read it outloud every time you walk past… even if it is under your breath. If you are shy, place it in your pocket instead. Use this message to banish the Goblins and make new ones as needed.

The Sage

The Sage, from The Faeries’ Oracle, by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Sage, from The Faeries’ Oracle, by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

The Sage: “Wisdom ~ Hidden Knowledge ~ Retreat ~ Old Age ~ Patience”

“The Sage is also the shaman. Not all wise men are shamans and not all shamans are wise men, but this one is both – power informed by wisdom and wisdom made manifest by power. This is also the face of Father Time and we see the colours of the seasons surrounding him. Sometimes, he is Old Man of the Mountain, the hermit who searches within for wisdom and understanding, and then is willing to share it with any true seeker who comes to him.

His “blind” eye enables him to look into other worlds, other realms, and the wisdom buried deeply within each of us, where the Singers dwell. He has reached a stage of life where he has let go of many of the activities of younger beings, retreated somewhat from the outer world of Faery, and inner vision, contemplation, and spirit. On the exterior, he lives simply, almost austerely, but his inner world is filled to overflowing with richness.

In order to pursue his studies more thoroughly, the Sage has cultivated detachment. Some may see this as remoteness or coldness, but he is no less loving for that. The Sage finds the inner connections between everything. He sees the connections, relationships, and consequences between seemingly separate ideas, beings and things.

Love and compassion are the inevitable consequences of seeing truly, and this leads the Sage to share his learning with others. Like any other wise elder, he leads by gently teaching from his vast store of wisdom. When asked for his judgment about something, he is discriminating and generous-hearted. He turns a blind eye to punishment, feeling that what is needed is mercy and a way of teaching those who err so thy will not make the same mistakes again.

The Sage is constantly learning. While on the one hand he values tradition and stability, he also understands and values the need for growth and change. He can’t go for a walk or a flight around the neighborhood without discovering something new and trying to see how it fits into the Whole. He is always expanding his understanding of reality and deepening his awareness.

As we develop patience and compassion intertwined, we begin to manifest the wisdom of the Sage.”

“Here we see wisdom and deep inner understanding. One of the keys of wisdom is to organize, integrate, and simplify one’s thoughts. Complexity often leads to confusion, simplicity is to be valued. This card signifies mental discipline informed by balanced learning and compassion. Tradition is valued but appropriate change is accepted. The Sage knows when to let go and when to move on. He knows when to retreat and think things over. He compassionately and wisely shares his knowledge with others, teaching by example as well as by precept. The scales of justice are balanced in the Sage’s hands. This card in a reading also signifies the need for deep consideration and refined judgment applied with compassion and mercy.”*

~by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth

Today is a day to observe, rather than a day to press forward. The truth you have been seeking lies before you; yet you are not seeing it as you search frantically for it. Peace and calm are called for; come from a place of balance and inner harmony. Focus inward and listen closely to your intuition, as it has all the answers you need. If you are getting an answer that is not pleasing to you; and then seeking confirmation over confirmation to try to control the outcome… let go and surrender. You simply may not be able to control this particular situation.

Ask the Sage for help, but be sure to leave an offering to show your respect. Then, once you have your answer, accept it with grace and move forward, releasing confusion and distraction as you do so. The Sage will grant you clarity; before you ask, take a few deep breaths and center…. then be absolutely sure you are ready to receive the answer you seek.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Workshops and Seminars, from the Angel Therapy Oracle Card deck, by Doreen Virtue Ph.D

Workshops and Seminars: “Attending and giving speeches is part of your spiritual path and purpose. Be open to teaching and learning.”

“The angels have been sending you intuitive messages about attending and giving workshops, seminars, and speeches. They have now sent this oracle card to you so that you will know that you really are hearing your angels’ messages about this topic.

If you have been dreaming about giving a workshop or a speech, the angels will guide you through the process. Give any worries, thoughts, concerns, or questions to them; and then listen to their replies, which will come to you as ideas and feelings. The angles will help to lead you to the right venue, topic and audience members. All you need to do is follow their guidance.

You are also guided to attend workshops to further your spiritual path and education. Enroll in classes that you feel drawn to, and ask Archangel Raphael to support everything in this endeavor – including tuition fees, transportation, lodging, time off from work, babysitting arrangements and so forth.

The way is clear for you to give and receive through the workshop process. Enjoy!

Action Steps: Visualize yourself conducting a workshop for a group of appreciative individuals who are smiling receptively at you. Feel yourself confidently receiving Divine information which you impart to your audience members. Continue with this visualization by seeing and feeling additional positive details. When you feel complete, say:

“Thank you, Universe

For my wonderful experiences

giving workshops for people

who receive blessings from the teachings

that come through me.”*

~by Doreen Virtue Ph.D

Do not panic, this doesn’t mean that you have to get up in front of people if you are not comfortable doing so! Many people fear public speaking and are terrified of standing up in front of a crowd. However, this doesn’t mean that you will never do this, it just means that you do not have to do it until you are ready to do so! In the meantime, it’s time to learn!

Have a look at what is going on locally. Is there a workshop, class or seminar that you can attend? Maybe you can learn a new skill, or find out about learning something that you have been interested in for a while now. There are many healing modalities, and some are self healing and do not necessarily require that you begin by healing others. Is there one that calls to you? You may be interested in energy healing, crystals, Law Of Attraction, or any kind of positive spirituality. All of these will assist you in opening your heart and your mind, as well as raising your vibration.

Look for a non competitive atmosphere, and a room full of like minded people. Not only will you learn, but you may just find that you meet people who will support you, and open you up to new opportunities.

Be brave, get out of your comfort zone, and learn something new. It just may be the door to the next chapter.

Guardian Angel ~ Higher Education, from the Saints And Angels Oracle Card deck, by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Guardian Angel ~ Higher Education, from the Saints And Angels Oracle Card deck, by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D

Guardian Angel ~ Higher Education: “Your angel is guiding you to gain further education, either by attending school or through independent study. Higher education refers to instruction with a spiritual basis, so this is a message for you to study topics that capture your true interests. For instance, if there is a spiritually based service career that you yearn for, now is the time to begin looking at furthering your knowledge in that area. This may mean attending formal classes, or working with a mentor.

Give any worries about having enough time, money, or skill to your angel. You are being pushed to learn more as a result of your prayers for increased fulfillment. Trust that this door is opening for you at the right time, and walk through it with full faith. Begin with simple steps, such as researching various classes on your chosen topic.

Even though you may feel that schooling will take time, remember that you will be alive and doing something during that time anyway. You may as well use your days wisely by investing in something meaningful. By pursuing higher education, you will gain newfound wisdom, higher self-esteem, new friends, and exciting opportunities.”*

~ Doreen Virtue, Ph.D

Your angels and guides wish you to continue on the path which intrigues you, for they know that this interest that you have is the magnet, pulling you towards your passions. When you start to learn, and ignite your inspiration, you will do whatever it takes to incorporate more and more of your newfound passion into your life. As you create time and space for this passionate pastime, it will slowly take over any stagnancy, clearing your energy and preparing you to focus your intention and attention at what means the most to you.

There is a very good chance that this includes a new healing modality. It can be any one that appeals to you, for really, they are all one in the same. You may find that a broader spectrum of energy healing, which includes not just yourself and others, but animals, birds, plants, trees, stones and crystals and ultimately the Earth herself. For in order to truly heal, every aspect of our Universe and our Be-ing must be taken into consideration. We are no longer individuals, but part of a much more intricate existence; one that acknowledges our vital connection to All That Is.

Start by setting your thoughts to a higher healing vibration; by knowing that healing is always available to you and for you. This is a powerful healing tool; pulling the Love and Light from the Universe, with the intention of using it for the Highest Good of all, by the Grace of the Universe and knowing with conviction that it is so. You are a vessel for this healing, a channel in which it can be directed to all those who need it, including Mother Gaia.

Learning is the path back to your own innate healing capabilities. Is it learning?

Or is it remembering?
