Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Lord Of The Shadows, from the Green Witch Tarot, by Ann Moura, Artwork by Kiri Ostergaard Leonard

The Lord Of The Shadows: “This is a card of change, moving from shadow into light. Some things that have hampered this change are put aside to make the transition possible. The God of Nature in his aspect of The Lord Of The Shadows, ruler of the underworld, pauses in the shadows of the forest to watch an elderly man with his grandson walk away from a well with a full bucket of water. In early times the well was a metaphor for life force energy, the magical waters of life that sustained one’s creative spirit and joy of being. The man and child show the generations that flow from the water of life, the satisfaction of a life well lived under the bright light of the Sun.

The Lord Of The Shadows, with an air of patience and kindness, holds in his hand a twig of yew. His presence suggests a life in transition, with the obstacles to transformation being cleared away. There needs to be a clean sweep for the right changes to come to fruition, for only in this way is there progress and improvement. Sometimes this comes as a matter of course in one’s life. Refusal to accept a new outlook may engender a loss of hope, stagnation, or a lack of growth. It is from the cleansing that new optimism arises, removing negative influences and allowing positive ones to enter. Old situations give way to new ones, and the past is left behind as a person moves on, released from prior commitments.

As with Samhain, when the veil between the worlds is thinnest and all worlds are linked in hallows, there is a quiet knowing with this card that cleansing is taking place in one’s life and there is an opportunity to commune with the inner self. From this comes the insight needed to release negativity and take steps toward a positive change and new direction.

The yew tree, with its red berries, represents the underworld, change, rebirth, and renewal. A luna moth, for transitions and moving towards the light, flies gracefully from the shadows towards the sunlit countryside.”

Card Meaning: “Change, moving from the shadow into the light, finding new meaning in life, a turning point in life, optimism, removal of obstructions, creating positive changes, new outlook and actions replace the outmoded.”

As Challenger: “Stagnation, Immobility, Resistance to Change, Self Evaluation Needed.”

Prompt Words: “Change, Transformation, Turning Point for Improvement.”*

~By Ann Moura

At first glance we worry that this card may be of darkness, not of light. But then we look deeper and find its true meaning. This is a coming out of the darkness and into the light. Profound change and transformation on the heels of the big lunar energies of yesterday. Stepping into a new month.

Something is falling away right now. Are you clinging on tightly afraid to experience the new? Or are you surrendering with grace and ease? It is happening either way, your reaction is up to you. Meet it with struggle or embrace it. Free will gives you either option; you choose. You take responsibility.

Doors closing and doors opening. Cleansing and clearing and purging to create the space for something new. In order to maximize it, simply allow yourself to ride the waves and receive it in all it’s mysterious and magical glory.

And so it is

Beith Birch

Beith Birch, from the Celtic Tree Oracle, by Sharlyn Hidalgo, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Beith Birch, from the Celtic Tree Oracle, by Sharlyn Hidalgo, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Beith Birch:
“Northern Hemisphere Dates: November 1-28 (Southern Hemisphere Dates: May 1-28)
Totems: Snake, Phoenix, Eagle
Deities/Guides: Macha, Morgan, Cerridwen, and Hecate (The Crone aspect of the Goddess)
Letter: B
Class: Peasant
1st Lunation
Celebration: Celtic New Year, November 1 (May 1)”

Keywords: “Endings and new beginnings, cleaning and purification, releasing old patterns, overcoming difficulties, shedding the old, new growth and renewal, pliance in the peaceful resolution of conflict, higher perspective, return to innocence.”

“The Beith Birch initiates the first lunation. At this time of year, as we prepare for winter and seek deep transformation, we honour the crone aspect of the Goddess. Although crones are harbingers of death, they are also responsible for birth and new life. They are our midwives. After a period of emptying and releasing old patterns, acknowledging disappointments and regrets and embracing our achievements, we listen carefully to the quiet voice within and set our intentions for the year to come. In this way, we plant the seeds of future possibilities and establish the foundation for the year ahead, which heralds in what we call the dark half of the year, when the new gestates in the dark. Birch will also help in the peaceful resolution of conflict. She provides a higher perspective and spiritual understanding. She will return you to a state of innocence and non-judgment. The ogham for this tree is Beith and the letter B.

Beith Birch In A Reading: “When you draw the Birch card, you can expect new beginnings. However, in order to move ahead, you may have to tie up loose ends and let go of what is no longer needed. Therefore, Beith Birch also stands for cleansing and purification. Old patterns are released, and you can shed unhelpful influences, now, just like this tree sheds its bark. This is a time for forgiveness of yourself and others.

There is the promise of new starts, renewal, and new life. This is the time to set new intentions, now that you have let go of last year’s energies. Sit quietly so that you can listen deeply. From your heart, begin to formulate new plans and intentions. This is the time to decide what seeds you will plant and cultivate for the year ahead.

Birch also offers healing, peace, and resolution in times of conflict. Her branches are pliant and supple. Take a Birch leaf or twig with you – or imagine her in your mind’s eye – when you must resolve a conflict. She brings in the power of peaceful reconciliation.

Take a look at your new year with a higher perspective. Allow your higher self to inform you. Breathe in her deepest message, which is love and light. Let Birch’s heart-shaped leaves remind you that your true wisdom comes from the heart. Allow yourself to look at your life and the world around you with new eyes. Lay aside your judgments and return to a state of innocence.”

As Challenger: “Perhaps you are reluctant to let go of that which is keeping you from moving forward – afraid to release old patterns and unhelpful influences. You may not be ready to forgive or to deal with conflicts. Perhaps you are hanging onto the old, and it is not serving you. Think about where you are not allowing your life to flow naturally. What are you holding on to so tightly that nothing can change? You are encouraged to let go so that you can move forward.

Set you house in order. This is probably not the best moment to begin something new, as you have work to do to prepare first. When your thoughts and feelings are aligned with your highest good, then you will be able to clear the way and begin.

If you find that you are overly judgmental, now is the time to let such habits of thought go. Judgment only creates separation, and in truth there can be no separation. Make an effort to return to innocence and to your connection to all that is. Play a game, take a run, do something fun to remind you what it feels like to be a child again. From this place, you can let go of your resistance and move into your heart space.”

Message: “I am the beautiful Birch tree. I wear bright gold and red leaves in the autumn. My branches grow down long and slender; my many heart shaped leaves dance and whisper in the wind. Close your eyes and listen to the sounds of my leaves rustling in the autumn winds. Listen to my encouraging messages.

See how I love to grow tall and straight? Look up and see the sky. Look all the way to the tip of my highest branches. Look to the light, and as you do so, allow yourself to lighten up. Imagine you are the eagle landing on my highest branch. Seek a higher perspective. You can see the whole picture – the exact opposite of not seeing the forest for the trees! What do you notice?

I encourage you to open your eyes and allow your innocence to come forward. Let go of any need for separation and judgment. Allow yourself to remember how it feels to enjoy yourself and feel as one with everything and everyone. Come into my field, my aura, and we will start over from this moment. We will begin a whole new story that is set in this very moment, where everything is already given. Keep facing the light and allow me to bring you the awareness of my higher perspective.”*

Every single thought we have is tainted by some sort of belief system we have adopted around it, particularly thoughts about ourselves, our value and our capabilities. We see things through a lens particular to us; our experiences, our hurts, our victories and our failures. We take our lives and we live it according to the thoughts, beliefs, feelings, habits and patterns that we are used to. That feel comfortable to us.

Maybe they are inherited culturally. Maybe we get them from society. From family. A teacher, a relative, a caregiver, a neighbour. Role models, rock stars, celebrities; people we look up to. Every single person we have interactions with leaves an imprint. It could be just a trace, or it could be something much larger that we hold on to, carry with us for the long term.

But how can we create something brand new if we can only perceive what is possible through our narrow lens? What if we were to take a really good long look at the lens itself and see if we have perhaps outgrown it? What if we realized we were looking through someone else’s lens this whole time? What if we didn’t even need a lens?

Then what would be possible?

There are new beginnings coming, that is no surprise. The new year is within reach. A brand new year to play with, to create with, to dream into being.

But how will you create it? What will hold you back from creating something more amazing than you have ever created before? What could you release so that you could do things in a completely new way?

Take some time to think outside the box. Dream a whole lot bigger than you usually do. Refuse to look through that old lens.

Sacred Phoenix Heart

Sacred Phoenix Heart, from the RUMI Oracle Card deck, by Alana Fairchild, artwork by Rassouli

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Sacred Phoenix Heart, from the RUMI Oracle Card deck, by Alana Fairchild, artwork by Rassouli

Sacred Phoenix Heart:

“Under the cover of blood,
love veils many rose gardens.
In total faith,
love tenderly guides every lover
to the garden of the heart.
Reason says,
the world is limited in six direction,
there is no way out.
Love says,
there is a way, and I have traveled it many times.”

~ RUMI

“How I adore your defiant, rebellious heart! It knows that what for the mind is an end, is for the heart, simply another match to ignite the sacred flames. It eats of love until it is filled, and then becomes hungry again and eats some more. And again and again. It eats of love until it is so full it must simply explode into a sacred fire of passion. It bursts, incapable of sustaining old consciousness in the expanse of blessings unlimited, lavished upon it through the Great Beloved’s affection. It would be like attempting to fit an ocean in a teacup! So it does not. It bursts forth, like a dying star, into a spectacular radiance, only to be reborn again, new and hungry for the next feeding frenzy in love’s great banquet. How I adore our defiant, spectacular heart!”

“Love guides us through travails that seem improbable, if not impossible. It does not shy away from any challenge, from any cause. It cannot. It is just love’s way. Love says to us there is always another way. You are receiving this guidance now.

Perhaps you are scratching your head quizzically or are in deepest despair because you appear to have met a dead end, a frowning now, or a dismissive laugh upon your quest to bring love alive. So then: do you choose to believe in love, or in the death of sorts your heart faces? Your heart shall rally! I choose death because that is the portal to new life! And so it is wise, you see, but you must be brave. To be burned in love – by love, for love – will involve endurance of pain, but it will also place it in context. It is the shorter pain that is not compounded by erroneous thinking! That pain comes and goes quite quickly when you realize that love is simply, playfully, smacking your wrist and saying, ‘Not that way, beloved. There are great pitfalls on that path – come, take this one, where there shall be wine and dancing!”

So you are guided to accept the closed doors, the death, the pain, and to let it become tinder for your fire. Cry whatever tears need to be cried so your tinder can be dry and ready to create the sparks your heart needs. That sacred phoenix, ready to die into life within you, is hungry for the fire. Let it feast so it can fulfill its potential, it’s divine destiny, and become born again into new form, more divinely aligned and alive than ever before.

This oracle comes with a message for you. You may feel as though you have been wandering in a desert for many years with no oasis in sight. You might have been through darkness, through trials, endured confusion and uncertainty as you sought for your truth, sought divine revelation and sought your purpose to confirm your plans. Seek no more. The answers are now given, or very soon will be, and the life, the passion, the purpose –  it will all come to you in clarity.

Does life need to be grasped for? It is bestowed according to grace and destiny. It need not be sought so much as received. The spiritual destiny that calls your soul – even whilst you may feel your bodily ears are deaf to the call – makes your heart leap. It is as through hearing the beloved’s voice and stirring and ancient memory of love so powerful moves you, even without you necessarily understanding how or why!

So let the life come to you. Be prepared to let the old version of  your life pass away into the new life now being born. What does this mean? It means letting go of your striving, your opinions, your doubts, your despair, and your fears. Life wants to happen through you, blazing angel. You don’t have to do much other than get out of your own way. Love is your nature. Let it flourish and life shall unfold accordingly.

This oracle brings a particular message regarding divine timing – that oh-so-significant factor in our dreams coming to life. Your time is fast approaching; it may even be now. It may seem least likely to you. There may be great darkness or confusion, and yet the unveiling of the new dawn is closest to the deepest darkness of night. Do not turn back or away from your progress. Your very next steps shall be upon hallowed ground, rendered golden by the rays of the rising sun.”

Sacred Honouring Ritual: “Place your hands on your heart and say: ‘This Sacred Phoenix Heart is blessed. Through every loss, every grief and sadness, every mourning, this heart grows strong, ready to ignite into new life, into the dance that is not the funeral procession but the rite of spring. This heart is ready to leap with new life, to be infused with the joy of innocence and the passion of deepest devotion. How I trust my heart to lead me, guided by the inner voice of love, through all that could possibly be. I am safe. This heart knows the way and I follow it faithfully now, into the light of a new day. Through sacred grace, so be it.’

Place your hands in prayer and close your eyes. Imagine there is love in your heart and that you can send a gentle acknowledgment of that love from your mind to your heart. As you bow your head towards your hands, imagine you are mentally bowing to the greatness of our heart and the love it honours.

You have completed your sacred honouring ritual.”*

~ Alana Fairchild

Change is in the air. You are the Phoenix, yet again rising up out of the ashes. Creating something new. Accepting something new. Recreating yourself in a more authentic way; one that leads you back to who you truly are and why you came here.

You may struggle to cling on to the old, as it burns away around you. Let it burn. Let it be the fire of alchemical transmutation, turning your lead to gold. Accept that there may be events playing out which are beyond your current comprehension, and try to meet them with curiosity rather than fear.

When we surrender to the fire we are reborn into something stronger, more powerful than ever before. When we actively participate in the burning ritual, we become powerful co-creators in our manifestation of something brand new.

Willingly be the Phoenix. Submit to the transformation. Embrace the fire. Focus on the Gold.

Lady De Los Muertos

Published October 31, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Lady De Los Muertos, from the Halloween Oracle card deck, by Stacey Demarco

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Lady De Los Muertos, from the Halloween Oracle card deck, by Stacey Demarco

Lady De Los Muertos: “Acceptance and equality”

“Pale, you step out of the night
In red lace,
full flowers upon your crown
You bring the beauty to death
The equality and joy
of the underground.”

“The iconic lady of death, with a pale skull-like face, zombie eyes and rich red funeral flowers in her hair has become one of the most recognizable symbols of Halloween and the Mexican Day of the Dead, El Dia de los Muertos.

The original model for this flamboyant lady of death can be traced back to the ancient Aztec goddess Mictecacihuatl. As time went on, the figure remained balanced between beauty and horror, and morphed into the Lady of the Dead and eventually reported that the identity of the original ‘Catrina’ was  based on this life. Yet, death takes everyone, equally, so it was a reminder that no matter how beautiful, rich, popular or famous you were – in the end, death takes all.

The Mexican culture has a long standing history of ‘laughing at death’ and seeing it as just another aspect of life. In some ways, death is the last taboo in many western cultures. We tend to hide away our dying and some of us may never even see the body of someone who has passed in our whole lives, but this was a much more common occurrence in the past.

Acknowledging that death is a natural process that will enter everyone’s life at some time and that perhaps until then, we can choose to be life affirming takes away much of the fear. Take a light approach to a situation initially and it may work out better. If you are holding on to something that does not serve you any longer – in particular material things – simplify and let it go.”

~ By Stacey Demarco

Halloween day, the day of the thinning of the veils, when the distance between the dimensions is merely a breath away. This day is magical, it is a great day to practice with your extra sensory perceptions… your Clair or clear senses. Clariaudience is clear hearing; the ability to hear or perceive words or sounds coming from other dimensions such as the angelic realms or spiritual planes. Clairsentience is clear feeling, or clear sensing; this is a big one for the empath’s of the world, who can often ‘read’ the energy of another person, place or object and the energies surrounding it, past, present and future. Clairvoyance is clear seeing; visions of the past, present or future without having participated in the event, necessarily knowing the people involved or having any prior knowledge of a person or place. Claircognizance is clear knowing; knowing something without any particular reason, the knowledge coming directly to the person. This can be the most confusing of the ‘Clairs’ as it is one that can be second guessed or doubted if the person is not aware of the gift… or often even if they have awareness. This is one that requires great faith in following intuitive guidance. There’s even Clairgustance, which is the ability to have a taste come to the person psychically. Lastly is Clairolfaction, which I have experienced many times myself, the ability to sense a distinct scent or odor, often thought to be connected to past over loved ones, ascended master, guides or angels.

Take some time to meditate today, asking for any signs, symbols or messages that may come through to you. Set the intention to connect with loving, benevolent beings of unconditional love and Christ Consciousness. Open to messages from passed over loved ones, spirit animals, guides, angels and the ascended masters who are currently working with you. Ask for answers, solutions and broader perspectives to challenges you have been experiencing. Set up your altar, light a candle, place a crystal, light some incense and place some flowers for an offering. Close your eyes, breathe deeply and open your heart. Let the wisdom flow to you and through you. Let yourself be guided into the next chapter of this year.

Eos

Published September 12, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Eos, from the Mythic Oracle, By Carisa Mellado, Artwork by Michele-Lee Phelan

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Eos, from the Mythic Oracle, By Carisa Mellado, Artwork by Michele-Lee Phelan

Eos: “New Beginnings”

The Myth: “Eos is the daughter of the Titans Hyperion (god of light) and Theia (goddess of heavenly light) and the sister of Helios (sun) and Selene (moon). She is the personification of dawn. Each day, she rises out of Oceanus (ocean) and opens the gates of heaven so that Helios can ride through them and illuminate the sky. She is an incredible beauty, with rosy fingers, golden arms, and large, white wings. She is often depicted as wearing a tiara and a yellow dress woven with flowers.”

The Message: “If you have drawn this card, dawn is here. The long, dark night is over, and you stand at the beginning of a new day. This card comes with a burst of new energy, as all possibility is open to you now. This is a good time to start afresh, make plans, hatch ideas, and open up to your rising inspiration.

The time is right for new beginnings, and you will be projecting this into the world. Do not be surprised if opportunities start knocking on your door – unexpected meetings, gifts, or invitations may turn up. Enjoy this period, and allow yourself to be guided by the Universe and your inner voice. A new day has dawned in your life, so celebrate and enjoy it. A journey awaits you!”

~ By Carisa Mellado

The only choice is to start new. Change what needs changing. Resistance is futile. Forward momentum is the only way.

We finish each chaotic month feeling that we must deserve a little reprieve. Only to be thrown into yet even more chaos. Wobbling to get our bearings we stand up and dust ourselves off yet again. We survey the territory. Does it look the same? Can it ever really feel the same?

Change is the only option. Moving forward fearlessly with less baggage than we may have anticipated. A fresh start with less obstacles in the way. Rewriting our story from the depth of our Soul.

See it as a gift; all of it. Each phase of it. Release the pain and meet the new vulnerable and receptive. Honour what the Universe sends your way and your part in attracting it… somehow. Try not to take it all too personally. Try not to attach to it but instead let it all flow to you and through you.

Know that everything is in perfect Divine order. Even if you are feeling like things are not going the way that you would have liked. Just yet.

Have faith. In yourself, in the Universe, in the endless possibility of the now. Choose your thoughts wisely. Channel your energy into your intentions. Use affirmations to keep you on track.

For the Highest Good Of All and So it Is.

The Moon On Water

Published August 7, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

The Moon On Water, from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, Artwork by Will Worthington

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Moon On Water, from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, Artwork by Will Worthington

The Moon On Water:
Position on the Wheel: “The Moon On Water is placed at the womb of the Wheel, the Midwinter Solstice on 21 December and the dark sun. It’s element is Earth and it is at the gateway of the soul. It is the mystic still point where ideas and desires change from pure thought to objective reality.”

Card Description: “A full moon rising above primal swampland illuminates a dark winter sky. The fallow landscape is dotted with the hardy marsh reeds that survive and thrive in the peat-enriched water. A primal egg lies submerged in the nutrient rich swamp full of potential energy and creative power. The bare trees reach up  towards the sky and await the return of spring as a flight of crows and a heron circle above. A lone aurochs moves across the mysterious landscape.

The moon is the nearest companion to us in the solar system and it physically affects the tides and cycles of life on Earth, but its power goes far beyond that. In the primal world of the Wildwood, the moon also becomes the sacred and mysterious light that illuminates the darkness of the utter void. It is therefore a symbol of all the unconscious or unrealized insights into human reality.”

Card Meaning: “In the image of full of potential energy and creative power. The bare trees reach up  there is no visible pathway for the traveler, and yet its reflective light illuminates the whole landscape. We stand at the edge of the watery marsh, representing the primordial emotional state that holds all potential and creative energy within the human psyche, and are drawn to the horizon where moon meets Earth beyond the barren trees. Beyond the flight of the sacred heron lies the fusion of our ancestral soul with the soul of the Earth.

Before us is the primal egg, submerged in the amniotic fluid of the world, waiting for the creative impulse that begins the process of life. The aurochs’ horns represent fertility as well as the horns of the waxing and waning moon. The shape of the horns and the head resemble the womb and fallopian tubes. In Mithraic and Druidic tradition, the bull or ox also had a sacrificial role at midwinter, representing the coming of new life from the ‘death’ of winter. The heron is a sacred totem bird of fertility and is also known in Ireland as siothlagh a bhoga, meaning ‘sheelag of the boglands’, a euphemism for a promiscuous woman, although in the form of a stork the bird takes over the mysteries of reincarnation, offering powerful insights into the mystery of life itself.

The Moon On Water signifies the first steps beyond earthly awareness across the primal emotions void of creation. She also encompasses the dark-moon aspects of fertility, sexuality and initiation as well as the irrational fear of the creatures that are associated with the night such as faeries and demons and other hidden or unseen shapes of ancestral memory.”

Reading Points: “The Moon On Water heralds a time of inner transformation, initiation or awareness. This may take the form of a seemingly random situation based in the emotional or spiritual spheres, but your inner voice may have been whispering for some time and gone unheeded. Now your soul brings into your physical world the symbolic keys to the collective human subconscious. This may take the form of a desire to investigate or study a doctrine, philosophy or esoteric pursuit, or the wish to explore untapped sexual energy and experience a tighter spiritual bond with a partner through honesty and the expression of your hidden desires. From here, you can begin to wrestle with the concept that consciousness is not within you, but that you are within the consciousness of the universe.”

Roots and Branches: “The dark of the moon. Rebirth. The still point of potential. The path of the moon on the water. The gateway of the Soul. The tides of emotion and consciousness. The primal source of intuition and initiation.”*

~ by Mark Ryan and John Matthews

Interesting that this card of the full moon talks about the dark of the moon. Today is no ordinary full moon as we have a lunar eclipse to amplify the energies. The full moon is a time of heightened emotions and the bringing to the surface of those emotions which usually run so deep we feel that they have been buried forever. This particular full moon and eclipse is asking us to dig really deep and bring it all up to the surface, once and for all. This is the time to bless and release that which we have carried with us for far too long. Lifetimes perhaps. Old pain, old trauma, old wounds will all come bubbling up. Instead of taking the mighty effort to stuff them back down, be courageous enough instead to sit with them. Take them out one by one and turn them thoughtfully in the light of the moon. See them from every angle. Breathe them in. Hold it. Feel it. Bless it. And release it one final time with forgiveness and gratitude for the lessons learned. Exhale.

Not to add any pressure, but whether you choose to surrender to this process will have an impact not only on the rest of this year and the nine year cycle to follow, but quite possibly the rest of your days here in this incarnation. As I said, no pressure!

Why pack that baggage around any longer? Why not finally sort through it and let go of all that no longer serves you? Why not step into the 8:8 Lion’s Gateway portal of energy lighter than you ever thought possible? It is tomorrow after all…

The Wanderer

Published August 1, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

The Wanderer, from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, artwork by Will Worthington

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Wanderer, from the Wild Wood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and John Matthews, artwork by Will Worthington

The Wanderer ~ Position on the wheel: “The Wanderer stands at the heart of the human cycle, in the innermost circle of the Wheel, poised between the beginning and the end. This figure waits for guidance across the abyss of awareness and into the realm of archetypal consciousness.”

Card Description: “Poised on the edge of a while chalk cliff, the Wanderer prepares to step across the abyss and into the Wildwood beyond. Ahead lies the faint suggestion of a rainbow arch, onto which the Wanderer must step. This leap across the void is greeted with open arms and a deep trust that the wings of imagination and honesty will carry the figure onto the lush green turf of a new path.

Clothed in bark and the soft green mosses and foliage that symbolize the protective and healing essence of nature, The Wanderer is neither strongly male nor female, both genders combining in the slender body. The figures naked feet treat lightly on the sweet warm grass at the cliff edge and, across the divide, deep shadowed trees stand ready to receive this newcomer to the Wildwood. Amid the leaves of the tangled wood is the merest suggestion of a face – perhaps the spirit of the wood. “

Card Meaning: “At this moment the burdens of the past are set aside – either for the Wanderer to pick up and take along, or to leave behind if the weight is too great. The Wheel of the Year is beginning its great cycle, bringing a new range of possibilities and challenges. The Wanderer is ready to make the leap into the unknown – all that is required is faith.

The Wanderer represents the wisdom or courage to let go, to step into the void of the possible. Something within you may have already begun this unconscious, instinctive leap across the abyss; you know it is time to move on. Sometimes the fear of loss or failure may make you doubt the validity of change. You may want to wait or hesitate at the critical moment because of the comfort of security, but the momentum of the Great Wheel has already sent the true heart of the Wanderer into the future, leaping across the gap with courage and joy. Now the figure must leave the burdens that have been carried for so long and trust to the wings of imagination.

The Wanderer is both an end and a beginning. One journey has already come full circle and, as you distill your life experience into sacred memory and put the past and its burdens to rest, the future waits patiently for you to make the first move.

Remember that your wisdom, strength and whatever personal experiences and sills you have may not help you now. The honest spirit of human inquisitiveness leads you beyond yourself and into a new life. This unconscious energy creates a Rainbow Bridge that rises and greets your foot. It will carry you over the void, as you step, trusting and empowered, into the unknown.”

Reading Points: “You have come to a junction or turning point in your life. It may be an unconscious state in which you feel the tide has turned or sense something is going to happen. In a way it already has. Your spirit must move on and the desire to leap into the unknown beckons. This may mean leaving behind or giving up some baggage or burden that you have carried with you from the past. Now is the time to be clear and not let fear of falling or sad disillusion with the universe hold you back. Let your imagination carry you into a new set of possibilities. It is a time to travel hopefully and open your arms to new and challenging aspects of the universe.”

Roots and Branches: “Blind faith. A blank slate. The Inner Child. The leap in the dark. Following your heart. The seeker after knowledge or truth. The primal impulse. A vision of illumination that pulls you forward.”*

~ By Mark Ryan and John Matthews

And here we step into August and all it has to offer. Will you walk on the Rainbow Bridge; a bridge of faith that only shows itself as you place yourself with absolute faith upon it?

The Rainbow Bridge leads to a new timeline. Read that a couple of times. Let it sink into your subconsious mind. Close your eyes and say it in your head. Breathe it in. Let it settle.

You are at a cross roads here. Rainbow Bridge, leap of faith, follow your heart, release all the old and step forward into the new. Or more of the same. Totally up to you.

If you wish to create something new, something fantastic, take some time today and figure out exactly what that is. Write it down, make a vision board, put some of your precious energy into it. Focus on it with love and excitement. Breathe life into it.

Remind yourself every day what you wish to create. Despite whatever else happens to be going on around you. Focus.

And when the time comes, and you have put your energy and focus in, and you have created a portal through which to bring it through…

…then you must step out onto the Rainbow Bridge.
