Daily Angel Oracle Card: Daisy ~ Simplify your life, from the Flower Therapy Oracle Card deck, by Doreen Virtue and Robert Reeves

Daisy~ Simplify your life: “You have had so much going on that you are spread too thin. This has to change now so your vitality can recharge.”

“It commendable that you are involved in so many activities, but you may want to rethink some of them. Your angels know that you have a drive within to support those in need. This is beautiful, and something that they would never want to change. However, you are becoming tired because you are devoting yourself to so many issues . Instead, narrow your focus, bringing your full energy to bear on a few select things.

You want to help those around you, but while you take care of others, it is important that you remember to take care of yourself as well. If you forget about you, then you will not be in good enough shape to be of service. Find self-care activities that nourish your being, and make them part of your daily ritual. Explore new skills such as painting, sewing, or photography. You may also enjoy reading, exercising, or spending time in nature. You might think that indulging in pleasant hobbies helps no one but yourself; but in truth, your well being does bring immense benefits to those around you.

Additional meanings of this card: Remove yourself from drama; release negative friendships; the easy solution is the right one.”*

I’m smiling as I write this…. not only is there significant synchronicity here, but this message definitely resonates with me… and I know that if it is for me, it is just as much for you too! We are all connected.

This crazy, intense eclipse energy is a little exhausting. The expectation, the knowing of the wonderful opportunity and not wanting to miss out. I have a tendency to be pretty literal. I also don’t want to miss out on any cosmic opportunities or gifts from the Universe. So here I am… with too many irons in the fire as per usual. Feeling a little overwhelmed at the prospect of it all. Yet what keeps coming up? Focus. Go with the cosmic flow of energy. Decide what you want and go after it. But what about all the other stuff you are supposed to do?

So much responsibility! And I know it’s not just me, we are all in this together. Work, kids, groceries, cooking, cleaning, bills to be paid, extra curricular activities that make you feel like a taxi or limo driver all over town, always rushing, trying to get it all done. Out the window goes the gym, meditation, yoga, and sanity… phew!

So… time to BREATHE. Time to slow down and ground ourselves right back in the here and now.

What is it that you wish to create? Chaos? Overwhelm? More stress? NOOOOO!!! So, get past all that and simplify. What actually needs your attention and what can you either skip, delegate or get by without altogether? Pare it down to what is necessary and if you are not sure, go where it feels light! When things feel heavy, you are not moving in the best direction for you right now. When they feel light and joyful, you are on the right track. It’s like playing “hot and cold” with the Universe. Your angels and guides will tell you via your body exactly where you are supposed to go.

If you are willing to listen.

Give yourself a big hug and a pat on the back. You are doing the very best you can, where you are, with what you have. Everything is about to turn out perfectly, so there’s no point in getting all caught up in the drama and postponing the inevitable bliss.

Keep breathing.

Condor, from the Messages From Your Animal Spirit Guides Oracle Card deck

Daily Angel Oracle Card, from the Messages From Your Animal Spirit Guides Oracle Card deck, by Stephen D Farmer: Condor

Condor: “You are too enmeshed in the situation, so step back and see the bigger picture before making any decisions or taking action.”

“You have lost perspective here because you either believe there is something that you absolutely need to have happen or else you are simply being too stubborn to let go, step back, and take a fresh look at your circumstances. It is the forest versus the trees dilemma: You are too close to clearly discern the reality of what is actually taking place. So make a practice of detachment. Most people think of this as a cold, sterile way of responding to a situation or person, but nothing is further from the truth. It is far worse to remain so utterly involved and entangled that you lose perspective – and sometimes even your self. This all too familiar pattern stems from the guilty feeling that somehow you are not doing enough unless you completely immerse yourself into the problem or person, continually trying to fix the situation or rescue the individual involved. While this may give you a temporary sense of satisfaction, doing so also creates unhealthy dependencies – yours and others’.

True detachment is objective compassion, a state of mind and heart where you still care very much but are distanced enough so that you are not under the illusion that you can somehow control the situation or person through your participation or intervention. In any situation or conversation, follow these four simple guidelines. First, be 100 percent present and attentive; second, speak your truth (or maintain a dignified silence); third, keep the focus on what is really  important and what really matters; and fourth, let go of any attachment to outcome. These four steps will help you to keep your perspective while remaining compassionately involved and detached at the same time. You can still wield your influence by stating your preferences – whether strong or mild – without insisting on getting your own way. Express yourself and see what happens, all the while honoring and respecting others.

Perspective; Vision; Awareness; Death/Rebirth; Independence; Solitude; Inspiration; Creativity; Leadership; Pachamama (“PA-che-Mama,” Mother Earth); Simplicity; Sensitivity; Detoxification.”*

We Lightworkers and Earth Angels love nothing more than to give someone the benefit of the doubt. We see potential everywhere and heal with love. We are hardest on ourselves and hold the belief that if we just try a little harder, that we can fix anyone or anything, if we just add a little bit more love then everything will be Ok. We can see potential in others that they may never see in this lifetime. We believe in unconditional love. We believe that the stars are going to align and everything will fall into place.

We often put the needs and wants of others in front of our own, steering ourselves away from our dreams in the process. This in turn leaves us feeling empty and sad, wondering what is missing in our lives and why we aren’t living up to our own high expectations, and then, instead of dedicating ourselves to the inner work we need to do in order to set things right, we turn around and try ten, a hundred or a thousand times harder to fix the original person or problem. Sound familiar?

Take a step back and see the bigger picture. What is really going on in your life and what are you trying to fix that is beyond your ability to fix. We cannot fix other people, we can only work on ourselves. It may be time to take all that beautiful loving energy and, instead of draining yourself completely trying to heal another who must heal themselves; aim that love right back in to heal your own wounded heart.

Namaste ~ With so much love.

Simplicity, from the Return Of Spirit Oracle Card deck, by Cheryl Lee Harnish

Daily Angel Oracle Card, from the Return Of Spirit Oracle Card deck, by Cheryl Lee Harnish: Simplicity

Simplicity: “Life can sometimes become very complicated. The Simplicity card comes when the demands of life start to overwhelm us.

It is time to get back to basics. It is time to take a time-out, so you have the space to breathe and the quiet to think. It is time for a full assessment of what is and is not working in your life right now. Are you over-filling your plate with too many tasks and errands? Are you involved in a complicated or emotionally draining relationship? Perhaps you have been working too much or taking too many classes – leaving no spare time for you.

The Simplicity card comes to ask that you give your life and evaluation. Take the time-out you need, and start to get clear about what brings you sustenance in your life. While life may never be easy, your life does need to allow for a sense of ease. We can lose our sense of self and our inner connection to Spirit, when we are overwhelmed with the demands and happenings of the world around us.

Spirit is calling you to begin making yourself a priority in your own life. they are asking that you put yourself, and those things which help you feel closer to Source, in front of everything else. You need a reprieve from the chaotic and hectic energy you are experiencing right now.

When you are in touch with yourself and with Source, it helps to make life more manageable. It helps to make life more manageable. It helps you to feel steady on your feet and aids you in removing those things which do not align with your highest good. It also frees your energy so you have plenty to give to those things which you do choose to keep in your life.”*

I know that this card really resonates with me, juggling work and kids out of school due to a dragging-on teacher’s strike. When I’m not overwhelmed by my crazy schedule, I am feeling guilty that I may not be spending enough time properly educating my kids! Wavering between making the most of their time off, going for long walks and bike rides, hitting the beach and playing outside and trying to organize some structure and learning. Sigh…

My yoga, meditation and general sanity time has long gone out the window! Yes, I write this blog every single day telling us that we need to meditate and do yoga and BREATHE… and yet, I am here confessing that I have not done much of that lately. I try and sneak a few minutes in here and there, but there is literally no time in my life that seems “uninterrupted” right now; everyone wants a piece of you, be it kids, dogs, parents, husband, etc; thus overwhelm.

Living from a place of gratitude keeps me sane. When I am feeling frustrated that school is still out, or that my kids are bored and fighting, or that as I finish tidying the house I have to start all over again, or that it’s difficult to concentrate on my clients when the kids are a constant presence…. I try to find something in that very moment to feel grateful for. It’s something simple, like the sunshine, our good health, my crystals, this blog, you for reading it. I hold that feeling of appreciation and send it out to the Universe in a bubble of light.

If I’m still feeling overwhelmed I get a hug from the kids or hug the biggest tree I can find. This helps me to remember, it’s the simple things in life that make us happy, and they are all around us. Now that’s abundance.
