Enlightenment ~ Topaz: “If I seek peace, I must embrace my fears”

The Legend: “Topaz is a renowned spiritual teacher. People travel to hear his wisdom. He is journeying up a mountain to seek private counsel with the Great Servant when a young boy stops him. The boy asks, “If enlightenment is to be found in my own mind, how do I get there?” The moment before he disappears into the mist, Topaz replies “Through your fears.”

Inspiration: “At this time your journey is more important than you destination. Remember, if you face your fear, you will grow stronger. Relief awaits.”

Personal Inquiry: “My thoughts always drive my choices. How can I use my thoughts to heal myself?”

Key Ideas: “Path to enlightenment; the reluctant sage; taking time alone to connect; trusting your intuition; needing solitude; time for reflection.”

Key Words: “Support, Courage, Confidence”

Meditation: “Write down three fears, then close your eyes. Imagine these fears staying with you always. Then imagine them, one by one, walking in faith alongside  you. Stride through the Garden of Fear and allow them to sty behind. What is more painful, keeping your fears or releasing them? The choice is yours.”*

~ By Tori Hartman

Have you ever stopped to ponder the saying “There is nothing to fear except fear itself”? Have you ever stopped to wonder if fear is like a habit that we have taken on? One that stops us from moving forward, like most bad habits do; one that keeps us from getting enough sleep, wrecks our peace of mind, and generally causes more trouble than it’s worth?

How many times have you been forced to live through your worse fears coming to fruition? And yet, here you are, reading this, so I am going to assume you survived it and are here to tell the tale. So my question to you is: Did worrying a whole lot about it or staying frozen in fear help you when you were in the thick of it? Did it prevent you from having to live through each moment? Or could you have faced it regardless of all that extra energy you put out on it. Have you ever wondered if maybe it would actually have been nice to just go through it the one time, instead of all those other times in your head first?

I know it might be tempting fate to ask “What’s the worst that can happen” so let’s just start out by scratching that one, like forever. How about asking the Universe “What is the absolute best outcome for everyone involved here in this situation?” and go from there? Why be conditioned to always expect the worst? Maybe (well, definitely but since we are releasing fears I don’t want to scare anyone!!) if we put it out there that things could go totally off the rails… they will. And maybe, if we release all that limiting thinking and decide to project the best possible outcome for the highest good of all, we can become a magnet to that instead.

Go ahead and practice. Start with the little stuff and work up from there. Try smiling and laughing and dancing while you do it, it speeds up the process and gets those amazing results pouring in just a little bit faster.

And so it is… not scary at all

The Spiritual Teacher: “There are great rewards in spending time alone. Use those moments of solitude to focus on love, and ways in which you might give to those around you. Shine your light as an example for others to follow. Seek out a spiritual mentor of your own if your life feels unfulfilled right now.”

Message From The Spiritual Teacher: “Seek and ye shall find. You will discover a wonderful mentor or spiritual teacher, as you ask Heaven for someone who can provide you with wise counsel and loving guidance. Or perhaps it is time for you to step out into the open as a teacher with many spiritual gifts. Do not underestimate the brightness of the light you have to offer others!

If you are currently on a quest for peace and enlightenment, do your seeking within. Meditation or time spent in nature can provide great insight.”

Merry Christmas…. are you connecting to the Spirit of Love today? Are you taking some time to connect with your loved ones, even if you find the holidays stressful? Are you able to take some time to yourself to just breathe?

This card is a message to you that you are about to either find or become a mentor. Student or teacher; who learns more? The roles almost blend as one learns from another in the perfect balance of giving and receiving; one cannot function without the other. Look for signs in the upcoming days as the year comes to a close;  this is going to happen soon and start the new year off in a wonderful new direction. You just may learn more than you ever thought possible!

In the meantime, practice gratitude as you reflect on the lessons learned to date. Where were you this time last year, body, mind and spirit? Where are you in your consciousness comparatively? How have your values changed… even subtle differences can be huge if you just acknowledge them. Where is your vibration at today?

Take a few deep breaths and send blessings, love and light out to all of your loved ones, whether they are in flesh or in spirit, near or far. Send blessings out around your neighbourhood, your town, your city. Send it right out around your country, then out and around the whole continent. Send this powerful love, light, healing and blessings right out around the world. And then, right out into the Universe. Know that as you do this, you connect to the energy of others who are also doing it, having read this message. Breathe in their love and connect to it, knowing that as you do so, you strengthen their intention as they do yours.

We are all in this together, and together we will make a difference.

Little Wolf Girl ~ Message: “It is all right to be alone”

About Little Wolf Girl: “This small girl who changes in the woods, under the full moon, into a creature wild and undomesticated, remains gentle, soulful, and true to her essence. She wants you to know your solitude is your sanctuary. She wishes you to know that while these changes will be empowering, at first they make you vulnerable, fragile, and open – as she is if you gaze deeply into her eyes. You must wear a symbol of what you are becoming at this time, as she does, and take on that which you wish to change into. This will become your talisman, and it holds great magick within it. Choose this alone.”

Little Wolf Girl Speaks: “I am alone. This is is a good thing. I am not sorry for my solitude. I will defy boundaries, expectations, and the labels others wish to place on me. For this moment I stand alone. I am by myself. And that is all right. I am changing. By myself, I can change without influence. Perhaps you are changing too. You are like a tree or a snake, and you are shaking off the dusty, too tight skin of the past, of your exile from the world of nature and, most of all, of the words others have used from the world of nature and, most of all, of the words others have used to describe you. You are awakening from a prison of conditioning and thought, and freeing yourself for a future of true, authentic, powerful, blissful – and sometimes testing – times and lives. You are changing. Your new sensitivity will help many people connect more deeply to the physical world, which is continually feeding you with imagery, energy, and messages. But before you can achieve great things, you must change, even if the only change is to choose the courage to be alone.

Divination: “Your changes are becoming conspicuous to others, so, for now, be sure to keep the changes safe while you nurture them. Now is either the right time to proclaim them loudly, nor is it the time to be mysterious. It is wise to allow them simply to happen. Some will notice and give you their support. Others will notice and give their disapproval. You must learn to discern what advice is wise. Be not needful of approval and flattery, or of condemnation against which to rebel. Just keep on being your true self, and give yourself space and solitude. Allow the Little Wolf Girl to show you how – and hose who are no longer meant to be in your life will depart. Do not worry. Just keep on becoming. And be, for now, in the best company of all: your own.”*

~by Lucy Cavendish

I love the idea of wearing a talisman in the shape of your transformation… this truly resonates with me. I love the idea that it would be a talisman of protection during the transformation; creating an energetic boundary around you which would prevent anyone from throwing you off your course. I also love that it would be a constant reminder of your process, that you are a work in progress, and that it would help to guide you through.

What are you becoming? Free and wild and true? A Goddess of Divine Wisdom and power? A Shaman, a magician, a wise and powerful healer? A manifestor of light? A vortex of love? A deep well of compassion? Only you can decide.

And when you do decide, step into it with grace and ease and beauty. With truth, authenticity, strength and courage. With the intention of the highest good of all.

And so it is.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Snow Leopard, from the Messages From Your Animal Spirit Guides Oracle Card deck, by Stephen D Farmer

Snow Leopard: “Take some time out from your usual life and spend it in solitude.”

“It can be difficult these days to spend time in solitude – to unplug, get off the electronic grid, and find a quiet place in or near Nature – yet is is so important to do so at this time. Turn off the phone, computer and television, if only for a few hours. Although you may feel a little anxious and restless when you first do so, these feelings will pass. Use this time for contemplation and meditation. It is not isolation; it is solitude. Solitude is a conscious and loving choice to be alone for a period of time, while isolation is a habitual and reflexive coping pattern to avoid discomfort and intimacy. If possible, take a full day by yourself, and just do whatever you feel like doing. Whatever length of time you spend in solitude, be sure to write as often as you can in your journal.

If you should feel guilty or anxious about the thought of doing this or even while you are actually doing it, use your breath to help you to relax. As much as you possibly can during the period of alone time, remind yourself to breathe and relax. Whenever you notice your breathing becoming shallow, take three or four slow, deep breaths and watch how your tension and anxiety dissipate. enjoy the feeling of having the sacred space of solitude surrounding you. And remember: You are never really alone.”

Associations For This Card: Solitude; Self-reliance; Balance: Silence: Stealth: Confidence; Determination; Perseverance; Containment; Sensitivity; Intuition; Reliability; Mysterious; Integration; Shamanism.”*

It’s time to unplug again for a bit, gain some perspective. We are so over stimulated, and overburdened, stressed and overwhelmed. It’s all part of the conspiracy. Keep us so completely distracted; keep us from connecting to the Divine. Yes, the electronic world has it’s place, but balance is vitally necessary. We must have both: the natural, spiritual connection to Mother Gaia and all of her creations; and we must have a way to communicate information faster and faster as we accelerate our awareness and consiousness. How else will we achieve One World being?

But for now, we must unplug from the phones and ipads and ipods, computers and games and televisions… and get outside. Reconnect with the elemental energies; fire, earth, air, water and ether. Reconnect with the Earth, her trees and plants and creatures; birds and animals alike. We can learn so much from our animal spirit guides, but we may not be able to hear them over the din of text messages, Youtube videos and Facebook messages.

Sometimes we just need to get out there and breathe. Touch the trees. Tilt our faces up to the sun. Feel the breeze on our skin. Dip our toes in the water. Walk barefoot upon the Earth.

It’s the best medicine there is. For body, mind and spirit.

Condor, from the Messages From Your Animal Spirit Guides Oracle Card deck

Daily Angel Oracle Card, from the Messages From Your Animal Spirit Guides Oracle Card deck, by Stephen D Farmer: Condor

Condor: “You are too enmeshed in the situation, so step back and see the bigger picture before making any decisions or taking action.”

“You have lost perspective here because you either believe there is something that you absolutely need to have happen or else you are simply being too stubborn to let go, step back, and take a fresh look at your circumstances. It is the forest versus the trees dilemma: You are too close to clearly discern the reality of what is actually taking place. So make a practice of detachment. Most people think of this as a cold, sterile way of responding to a situation or person, but nothing is further from the truth. It is far worse to remain so utterly involved and entangled that you lose perspective – and sometimes even your self. This all too familiar pattern stems from the guilty feeling that somehow you are not doing enough unless you completely immerse yourself into the problem or person, continually trying to fix the situation or rescue the individual involved. While this may give you a temporary sense of satisfaction, doing so also creates unhealthy dependencies – yours and others’.

True detachment is objective compassion, a state of mind and heart where you still care very much but are distanced enough so that you are not under the illusion that you can somehow control the situation or person through your participation or intervention. In any situation or conversation, follow these four simple guidelines. First, be 100 percent present and attentive; second, speak your truth (or maintain a dignified silence); third, keep the focus on what is really  important and what really matters; and fourth, let go of any attachment to outcome. These four steps will help you to keep your perspective while remaining compassionately involved and detached at the same time. You can still wield your influence by stating your preferences – whether strong or mild – without insisting on getting your own way. Express yourself and see what happens, all the while honoring and respecting others.

Perspective; Vision; Awareness; Death/Rebirth; Independence; Solitude; Inspiration; Creativity; Leadership; Pachamama (“PA-che-Mama,” Mother Earth); Simplicity; Sensitivity; Detoxification.”*

– Stephen D Harper

We Lightworkers and Earth Angels love nothing more than to give someone the benefit of the doubt. We see potential everywhere and heal with love. We are hardest on ourselves and hold the belief that if we just try a little harder, that we can fix anyone or anything, if we just add a little bit more love then everything will be Ok. We can see potential in others that they may never see in this lifetime. We believe in unconditional love. We believe that the stars are going to align and everything will fall into place.

We often put the needs and wants of others in front of our own, steering ourselves away from our dreams in the process. This in turn leaves us feeling empty and sad, wondering what is missing in our lives and why we aren’t living up to our own high expectations, and then, instead of dedicating ourselves to the inner work we need to do in order to set things right, we turn around and try ten, a hundred or a thousand times harder to fix the original person or problem. Sound familiar?

Take a step back and see the bigger picture. What is really going on in your life and what are you trying to fix that is beyond your ability to fix. We cannot fix other people, we can only work on ourselves. It may be time to take all that beautiful loving energy and, instead of draining yourself completely trying to heal another who must heal themselves; aim that love right back in to heal your own wounded heart.

Namaste ~ With so much love.

Daily Angel Oracle Card, from the Earth Magic Oracle Card deck, by Stephen D Farmer: Solitude

“The solitary tree on this island surrounded by the glassy sea can evoke different feelings depending on one’s perception and beliefs. The tree, which is in full blossom, stands out amid the relative starkness, and is illuminated by a beam of light emerging from the otherwise dark sky. It’s an elegant reminder of how even in what might appear to be relatively barren circumstances, there is still beauty and growth.

Although an island like this can be a metaphor for isolation and desolation, the thriving tree proves that even in the harshest of environments, there is Life. We can see the tree’s spider like roots spreading out along the rocks, seeking nourishment from the moist soil. the sense of peace and solitude depicted in this image provides nourishment for the soul.

You need to take some time for solitude, preferably in silence. Spend the morning, afternoon, or even the entire day by yourself, completely unplanned and unstructured. The bombardment of your senses by the noise and intensity of society leaves you on alert far more than is necessary. The vibration of millions of people’s worry and fear throughout the world can impinge upon you and greatly affect you if you do not honor your need to pull back from time to time.

When you have passed through any self-constructed barriers to enjoying the quiet peace of solitude, it will serve you best if you simply observe the thoughts and emotions that pass through you, especially those that cause shortness of breath or a quickening heartbeat. Remember that isolation is experienced  not by choice, but out of fear. When you decide to spend time with yourself in solitude, however, you are choosing to once again find and connect with who you really are.”*

Again there is a theme in the last couple of days; that we need to take some time away from the madness and breathe, reconnecting with our higher selves and rising above the material. December can be a very stressful time for many people; whether they are overwhelmed with the amount they have to accomplish during a busy season, feeling isolated from family or friends, under financial stress or pressure, or missing passed loved ones. It can feel a little crazy even for those who don’t celebrate Christmas, as we are all susceptible to the stresses of others around us.

So, this is the time to make sure you eke out a little time to yourself to regroup. This goes well with yesterday’s theme of nurturing yourself; finding a way to give back to yourself and take a daily break from everyday life. Of course, the best ways to do this would be through yoga and meditation, but I realize that this isn’t for everyone. Sometimes doing your hobby or crafting uninterrupted is perfect as usually our past times are our passions that we haven’t yet felt comfortable enough to transition into full time. It can be a great escape if it’s something you really love doing. Getting creative is an amazing outlet, sparking inspiration and lifting your vibration. Plus, don’t ever underestimate the power of a home made present; much better than something they didn’t need or has been imported from overseas only to break moments after being opened. Home made presents have an element of love that can’t be duplicated in mass produced items; and that impression of love stays long after the gift has been received.

Breathe, relax, reflect on the past year and the year ahead. Receive Divine guidance; as while you are “in the zone” of relaxation, you are sure to receive messages. Know with all your heart that  you are loved and fully supported by the Universe, God, the Angels and the Ascended Masters.
