Meaning Of The Card: “The Seven Of Earth symbolizes a need to both nurture and maintain a connection between spirit, self, and the world around you. Ground, integrate, and connect.

To feel and embrace this connection does not require any belief in the Divine, but a simple awareness that all is connected on an energetic level. At this time, look out into the world to see, feel, and understand the cycles of life and nature and how they affect and influence you.

Over time, life and day-to-day demands may begin to wear away at us, making us irritable and reactive … less adaptable and flexible … more fearful of the changes going on within us, and around us. All of these things can make us feel alone and disconnected.

The Seven Of Earth symbolizes the importance of connection and being part of the natural world, but also the need to address areas of potential stress in your life before they become a problem.

It is time to meditate and still your mind. Make a habit of taking time to sit and meditate in nature, and allow all the stress to flow out of you and into the earth. Today we are beckoned towards a deeper level of connection through ourselves to the natural world. Unplug. Ground. Breathe. Plant yourself in the present moment. Take a much needed break from the information highway, the daily routine. Get outside. That’s an order!

Take stock of your current stress level and what the causes of this stress are. How can you streamline? How can you release some of the stress before it becomes overwhelm? Do you need to ask for assistance? Delegate tasks that are weighing you down? Are you feeling disconnected? Isolated? Overburdened? Alone?

Heal yourself by aligning with the rhythms and cycles of the outside world. Look to Mother Nature; where she is at is where part of you is at too. The phases of the Moon; the position of the Stars in the sky; how much Sun we get in a day… it all contributes to how you are feeling. The weather, the foods available at this particular time to harvest. What you need to wear in order to keep you warm or cool. It all makes a difference. Listen to your body. Nourish it well. Exercise it. Hydrate it. Align it with nature rather than the man made world. Make space in your mind and in your heart for peace, calm and harmony.

Take breaks from people and situations that feel draining or toxic. Schedule some time for yourself every day, even if only for a few minutes of deep breathing or meditation. If possible, get outside for a walk, take a yoga class or express your creativity. Find ways that resonate with you to ground and realign with your life’s purpose.

Support: “Ask for help. Get more rest. Nurture yourself.”

“Feeling tired, burnt our, overwhelmed or overworked is a call to lighten your load and recharge your batteries. Your energy levels are low ind it is proving counterproductive to getting things done or being there for others.

You may feel you have to do everything yourself or do not know who to ask for help. A part of you could be addicted to the adrenaline rush of stress and hustle. You may even feel that it is a sign of weakness to slow down or that you do not deserve to be nurtured.

You have nothing to prove by working yourself too hard or sacrificing yourself by doing everything alone.

This winged horse urges you to ask for help, to get more rest and to be loving to your body. Schedule in non-negotiable time for naps, set boundaries around your work hours and make getting a good night’s sleep a priority. Hire an assistant or other team members for your business. Spend a day at the spa, book in for a massage or other body treatment, or simply take a day off to do nothing. Ask your friends and family for help with your kids or invest in additional childcare or a nanny.

You are worthy of this support. The extra energy you will have as a result will be worth the time and money you spend to give it to yourself.”*

Again we are reminded that we are never alone, and when we are in need of assistance, we must only ask. If you are someone who feels that the only way to get something done is to do it  yourself, this message is especially for you! Remember you have a team of angels and guides who are always with you. They are more than happy to help you in various areas of your life, particularly when you are feeling stressed and overwhelmed. But you have to ask, and you have to allow yourself to receive. Asking and then pushing forward and doing things as you always have done them without receiving the assistance does not help the situation. Ask for help and then make space for that help to come to you. Oh, and don’t forget that when someone comes your way and offers to help you, say YES please!

Step off the treadmill of responsibilities and take a little time for yourself; yes the spa would be fantastic, but not always possible. Go for a long walk, get some fresh air. Take a hot sea salt bath. Create and altar, light a candle, play some music. Meditate; paint; draw; write; do yoga; contemplate a beautiful flower or sunset; count the stars. Breathe deeply. Open your heart and make space for something new.

Your body, mind and spirit will thank you.

Yesterday’s message was one of water, the waters of the Earth. Today’s message is a metaphor for our own waters; which are our emotions. Are you feeling off kilter? Overwhelmed and stressed out? More emotional lately due to extra demands on your time, obligations, responsibilities? Are you feeling stretched in too many directions and like you have very little to give back to yourself at this point in time? It may be time to set some new boundaries; ones to protect your well being, and keep you sane!

When we say yes, yes, yes to everything that everyone expects and demands of us, it can leave very little left for ourselves. Believe me, I know. Usually the things that you cherish, such as yoga, meditation, alone time or your hobbies and passions are the first thing to go as you care take for everyone else! Add a job, children, a household, pets to care for, and social obligations, and you really leave yourself no time to breathe. That needs to change, and right now!

Listen closely to the whispers of your heart. What do you yearn for? More time outside? A weekend off? To attend a workshop or class? A night out with good friends? What would give you a much needed break and boost your spirits? You have put in so much effort for everyone else, you deserve a treat! Pick a day or evening and dedicate it to you. It could be as simple as a candle lit bath, a yoga class or a walk in the forest or on the beach…. or it could be a trip to the spa, time with friends or a dinner out. If you can swing it, go to Mexico for a week!! (sigh… I wish!!!)

Take a few minutes right now to book it, and stick to your guns. You will be a better person for it! And while you are at it? I want you to say NO to something that you feel obligated to… something that you have said yes to that will leave you feeling resentful and empty. Cancel it, pronto!… (you’re welcome ;0)

Guardian Angel ~ Stress Management: “Your angels are working with you to reduce the impact of stress. Pay close attention to your Divine guidance, such as thoughts or feelings about taking a rest, exercising, changing  your routine, and avoiding conflict. You need to both reduce stress in your life and manage the way it is affecting you.

To lessen this burden, you will need to be assertive with people and say no to unwanted requests. Do not do anything out of guilt or obligation, and only engage in activities that you can perform out of loving service. Avoid harsh environments, violent media, and negative relationships, and face any situations that are worrying you head-on. It is better to make plans for dealing with problems, rather than deal with chronic worry by avoiding them.

Managing stress involves taking excellent care of yourself. This means exercising, getting outside in nature, and consuming only healthful foods and beverages. Your angel also guides you to surround yourself with uplifting music, flowers, and loving relationships (which can definitely include your pets). Give any cares or needs to your guardian angels, and ask them to help you receive Divine wisdom in dealing with any stressful matters. Your angels will also help you to see the love and light within each situation so that your thoughts are peaceful.*

Christmas can be one of the most joyful times of year; fun and exciting to pick out special gifts for our family and close friends; getting together to celebrate and enjoying the festivities that the season has to offer. It can also be overwhelmingly stressful as we try to budget for the extra expense, get along with estranged family members and spread ourselves way too thin by trying to go to every event we are invited to… even the ones we dread. Often by the time New Year’s Eve rolls around, we are so totally stressed we can’t even fathom yet another celebration. January can be exhausting and anti climactic as the bills start coming in and the overindulgence shows up in everything from our Visa card to our waistband!

So now is the time to be mindful of how you can manage your stress during the Christmas; enjoying the present moment and not going into holiday overwhelm. Carve out some time for yourself to get centered every day… or several times a day if you are finding it really stressful. Deep breathing, meditation, yoga, a brisk walk around the block, a sea salt bath, even some quiet time to enjoy a good book or repeat your affirmations will help immeasurably. Give yourself the gift of serenity and sanity by saying no to spending extra time with people who really tax you or stress you out, minimize if you can. I realize that this may be close relatives, but you must sometimes put yourself first, so look at ways that you can keep it short and sweet if possible!

And remember, if you can, to spend some time with someone who needs the company. Go see an elderly relative, volunteer at a rest home or a soup kitchen for a day, pick out a gift for Santa’s Anonymous and make a child’s Christmas special. When we reach out to those who are in more challenging situations than ourselves tends to really put things in perspective.
