Hearth, from the Halloween Oracle Card deck, by Stacey Demarco

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Hearth, from the Halloween Oracle Card deck, by Stacey Demarco

Hearth: “Happiness in our hearts and homes.”

“The ancient Romans believed that every home had a heart and it was the hearth. Where the fire burned, the family gathered for sustenance, communication and protection. This concept was so important to the culture that there was a huge city hearth – the Vestal temple – where the fire of the home goddess, Vesta, burned forever without ever going out. This sacred flame was protected by the soldiers with their very lives should there be an invasion.

The place where the Goddess Vesta was honoured within every ordinary home was also the hearth, and it is where women prepared food and cooked. Some of the food was always offered back into the fire as an offering to Vesta for her blessing and protection. Often husbands were sent away on military duty for years on end and their wives at home were not just expected to keep the home and often the business running, but to wait for their husbands faithfully until their return. They prayed to Vesta to ensure their family members’ return and to keep the fires of love stoked. The saying: “Keep the home fires burning” was inspired by this practice.

Should the Hearth card appear in your divination, you are beings asked to look to your idea of what home and family is for you. Take the time to build up your ‘love’ fire and have it burning brightly. Make your relationships a priority. If there is conflict within your home and family, it is time to take concrete steps to address the issue for good. If you or a member of your family is away from home due to travel or work, know that protection is being given.”*

~ By Stacey Demarco

Your family may not be your flesh and blood; they may be those who have shown their loyalty and support to you through your life experiences and given you warmth, caring and love when you needed it most. Maybe these are your relatives, and maybe not, but regardless they are your true soul family, your tribe. These are the people to surround yourself with now. This is where your true home lies; as the saying goes, home truly is where the heart is.

We are so wrapped up in our lives; our responsibilities, our obligations. Bills to pay, places to get to, so much work to do it can seem never ending. So many distractions… the theme of late. Our smart phones, computers, tv’s, games and social media running our lives. The media toying with our emotions. Presidents of countries threatening each other. People killing each other. So many things to worry about.

So what can we do about all this?

We can create a cocoon of loving support and climb right in it. We can spend time with people in person… organically they call it now. You know, when you are actually in the same room with someone, speaking to them, looking into their eyes? Phone nowhere in site ideally of course. Those who love you for you. Those who make you laugh. Those who make you feel warm and fuzzy. Those who listen when you talk and hold space for where you are at. You know who they are, and if you do not, then it is time to find them.

Here in Canada it is Thanksgiving and I am grateful to have my family, healthy and happy; those of my own flesh and those who have adopted me along the way. There is always room for more love, more family, new friends and new love.

What are you grateful for today?

Two Of Cups

Two Of Cups, from the Shadowscapes Tarot, by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law artwork by Barbara Moore

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Two Of Cups, from the Shadowscapes Tarot, by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law artwork by Barbara Moore

Two Of Cups: “This is the melding of water and earth and air, the alchemy of elements. Golden as the goblets, the fish swim through the waters (or is it air that they glide through?). The dryads coil around each other, braided into an embrace as fluid as the air (or is it the sea?) that they are surrounded by. They are soul mates. They twist together to form one solid trunk, and yet they retain their individuality and their own colours.

Like the harmonious swirl of a yin yang, they circle one another in a liquid push and pull that unifies. They share a cup. ‘Drink,’ one whispers, proffering the goblet.

‘I accept,’ one responds, and takes it into her hands. They drink deeply, at once, and the shared sap flows down into their roots.

The other cup balances precariously on an outstretched branch. They do not seem to notice it, though the spirits and sylphs watch it carefully. For now it stands stable, but as the trees grow, as the branches stretch and uncoil and burst into bloom, will that cup still stand upright or will it tip and tumble to the ground, spilling its precious liquid?

The Two Of Cups is about making a connection, a union, a partnership. It is the bringing together of opposites and the potential for bonding. It is a relationship. Like a living organism, relationships grow; the ones that are strong become pillars of stability, and the weak connections are gradually forgotten and fall apart.”*

~ By Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

There is love here, partner love, romantic love, maybe even soul mate or twin flame love. It is powerful, like a magnet drawing you together with another. Maybe you are already in a relationship; there is room for shift, room for seeing something that may have been missing to date. Maybe you are single and there is someone new on the horizon, hope is rekindled.

Whatever it is, this card represents the coming together of Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine into sacred unity. This is more than a hookup, there is deep love here. It is not just a sexual connection, it goes right into the heart center.

Yet sometimes if we are not emotionally mature, these types of relationships can be rocky. That is the precariousness of the situation. There is such great potential, but yet if we are not where we need to be in our own hearts and minds, we may walk away. Scared, doubtful, unable to trust, there are so many reasons to turn and run. Maybe the grass looks greener over there. Maybe it’s just too confusing to weed through all those old emotions. Maybe the projections are starting to seem real.

It could go either way.

If you haven’t processed your “stuff,” you might want to get on that. Because it could make the difference between being ready for love and the agony of the denial of love. You can’t be responsible for the other person, you can only hope they have done their work too. You can just be responsible for you. Work to open your own heart. Work to forgive, to bless and release and create some much needed space.

Know that if the foundation is set strongly, the cup is sure to stay full.

Mahavatar Babaji ~ Soul Expansion

Mahavatar Babaji ~ Soul Expansion, from the Keepers Of The Light Oracle Card deck, by Kyle Gray, Artwork by Lily Moses

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Mahavatar Babaji ~ Soul Expansion, from the Keepers Of The Light Oracle Card deck, by Kyle Gray, Artwork by Lily Moses

Mahavatar Babaji ~ Soul Expansion: “Your consciousness is expanding. You understand the connection between all things.”

About Mahavatar Babaji: “Mahavatar means ‘great incarnation, or avatar’ and Babaji means ‘sacred father’. Mahavatar Babaji is a deeply respected master yogi who was introduced to the world through the teachings of the Indian yogi Paramahandsa Yogananda. Babaji, as he is called for short, is said to be over 2,000 years old and able to travel between Earth and other worlds. He is said to have an invisible temple in the Himalayas that can appear to those he wants to connect with. Many believe that he is like Christ himself, bringing deep love, acceptance, forgiveness, insight and direction.”

Extended Message For This Card: “You may feel that you have retreated from the world recently. Maybe you have not been as active socially or spiritually, but this time of inner rest has really paid off. You are becoming more and more consciously aware of how connected you are to God and all living beings. This sense of union is called yoga. Yoga goes beyond physical ability and into a sense of awareness that is created through spiritual practice, meditation and devotion to the divine. Mahavatar Babaji, the yogic father, is here to inspire that fire of union within¬† you so that you can understand how your thoughts and actions are creating the waves of energy that form your life.”*

~ By Kyle Gray

One of my favourite books of all time is “Autobiography of a Yogi,” by Paramahansa Yogananda. If you have not read it, I highly recommend it. That is when I first learned of Mahavatar Babaji, the Guru. I see him now as an Ascended Master, a teacher, an inspiration and a pillar of Light. His energy is calm and all-knowing. He is wise and deeply connected, and he can help us to access these energies in ourselves. He is illumination and he is also discipline, he sees through illusion and into the heart and Soul. He calls for devotion to the ultimate quest of union with Source energy; to whole-hearted commitment to your spiritual journey and complete surrender to faith.

When Mahavatar Babaji comes to you it is time to meditate, do yoga and simplify life. It is time to declutter, detach from drama and find your inner peace. This is not a material journey, and the Guru would not be impressed by material gain or possession. For you cannot take that with you, it simply means nothing on the journey between the dimensions. The only thing that matters is your awakening, your enlightenment, your pursuit of peace, of unity with the Divine.

This is a call to spend time in silence, to calm your mind, to harness the pure energy of Love. This is why we are here, not to accumulate ‘stuff’ but to travel lightly, with reverence and respect upon this sacred Earth.

Sobek and Horus

Published March 18, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Sobek and Horus, from the Anubis Oracle, by Nicki Scully and Linda Star Wolf, illustrated by Kris Waldherr

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Sobek and Horus, from the Anubis Oracle, by Nicki Scully and Linda Star Wolf, illustrated by Kris Waldherr

Sobek and Horus: “Reconciliation of Opposites; Forgiveness and Understanding”

“Sobek and Horus represent two powerful opposing psychic forces found in all human beings – the old and the new parts of each of us. They appear together as adversarial allies to hep us reconcile opposing forces and create harmonious, balanced union within.

The crocodile god, Sobek, represents strength and fortitude, fertility and rebirth. From Sobek, we inherited the reptilian brain that contains the ancient evolutionary patterns. It rules the autonomic functions that have kept us protected to grow forward.

Horus is the son of Isis and Osiris. In this oracle he comes into maturity and prepares to step into his full power as the enlightened ruler. All pharaohs are called Hours. As a hawk headed diety, he is associated with higher mental and spiritual functions.

If you have drawn this card, it is time to take a deeper look at the energetic desire to evolve while stepping into a new way of being. You may experience a sense of conflict from the old self. In truth, it is willing but needs to know that what is of value will not be lost and that mistakes will not be repeated. This is an opportunity to take stock of the newer self that wants to evolve and step forward, and of the old self that wants to make sure you have a solid foundation to stand on.

Drawing this card indicates that resolution is afoot. If there is a conflict in your life or something in the way of your forward or upward motion, meditating with these two seemingly opposing forces can bring you to a deeper understanding of a relationship or situation. It can also open the way for forgiveness. If you bump into that part of yourself that is closed to forgiveness, stay open: it is one of the most potent keys for resolution.”*

~ By Nicki Scully and Linda Star Wolf

The only way to truly move forward is to release all the old. Old thought patterns and conditioning. Old ways of thinking and of being in the world. This may involve great changes, releasing people and situations; even moving house,  changing jobs or going in a completely different direction.

In order to do this, you will have to forgive those who were placed in your life to teach you lessons that have made you uncomfortable or caused you any pain or trauma. This is not always easy to do, yet if we don’t release them from the grip of our pain, it is us who eternally suffer. It does not mean that you condone the behaviour, it means that you forgive and move on so that you do not attract these same patterns or lessons any more. You are done with all that.

See yourself standing in front of the person you need to release. If there are more than one, then do one at a time. Look this person right in the eye and tell them: “I forgive you, I release you.” Then feel yourself quite literally sprouting wings and spreading them wide. See yourself fly right through the sacred space created by Sobek and Horus on the card image as they hold safe space for you. Look up and see yourself fly high above the person you are releasing, looking down upon them standing there alone, getting smaller and smaller as you soar high above. Allow yourself a couple of deep breaths and take in the idea that you are now completely free of this burden you have been carrying. You are light, you are free and you are able to detach from all the drama that this person has caused you. You never have to fly back down to them and experience this pain again. If you choose to have this person stay in your life, set the intention that your relationship with them will start anew, with you being fully empowered and you will never lose your freedom to them, or anyone else, ever again. Know that Sobek and Horus will always provide this safe space for you to forgive and release all those who are holding you back in your life or causing you any pain.

And so it is

Man Of The Earth, Woman Of The Sky

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Man Of The Earth, Woman Of The Sky, from the Journey Of Love, by Alana Fairchild, Rassouli and Richard Cohn

Man Of The Earth, Woman Of The Sky: “I see myself in you, and you in me. We may seem to be so different, and sometimes yet so similar. Even beyond this, I know deep within that we are one I can lose myself in your light and receive your light with my body. I can witness the darkness of your shadow and enter into it with my compassion. I can find the Divine in our connection, letting go of what I thought I was. I can be broken apart to become as one with you, even if only for a second, and know the Divine more intimately than ever before. Our passion leads us to each other and in each other we find our true selves.

This oracle brings you a message of sacred relationship that leads to divine understanding and experience. You are being opened up to sacred relationship, either in your current relationship, or one that is on it’s way to you now, in human relationship and in divine relationship with the heavenly beloved. Know that you are worthy of it and keep a light of gentle hope and respect kindling in your heart as you anticipate the union with your beloved. Know that even when it is dark, when it challenges you, there is sacredness unfolding. The love of the divine wants to reach us not only in our happiness but also, perhaps more so, in our darkest hour. Let it reach for you through your relatedness with another and do not be afraid to be broken and opened for in that cracking of what you thought you were, you shall begin to know what you are, which is heaven on Earth.”

~By Alana Fairchild

“How rare to be born with a name of love

What challenges await that I must face

Or voice to listen to from above

Telling me what I must embrace

Each day I walk a path unknown

With no regrets for where I’ve been

Each experience is mine to own

No choices call to live again

How strong I am I ask myself

The measured test unfolds each day

A blessing of enormous wealth

Inside the gift will always lay.”

~ By Richard Cohn

The Man of the Earth and the Woman of the Sky, although separate entities with sacred Souls, are deeply connected. They are connected to each other; they are connected to the Universe and they are an integral part of All That Is. They know this and yet they support each other in balanced and respectful Sacred Union. There is equality here; there is reverence and there is space. There is no need for pettiness, for negativity or for fear, only for Love and Divine Union. What one gives, the other takes gently while giving back with all of their hearts. Each is fulfilled, honored, and cherished within the bounds of the relationship.

Can we seek to emulate this sacred union? Is this not why we are here?

There is only Love.

Opposition

Opposition

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Opposition, from the Tao Oracle, by Ma Deva Padma

“Opposition can be a profound learning experience when it leads to the understanding that differences to not have to create breakdowns. In fact, all apparently opposing forces highlight the unique qualities, the strengths as well as the weaknesses of each other. We commonly define sadness as opposite to joy, dark in opposition to light, death against life. But from a broader perspective these qualities are two sides of the same coin, dual aspects of wholeness. In fact, each serves the other, adds spice to life, and creates a beauty that far exceeds the limitations set by rigid thinking.

It is said that for everything there is a season, a time, and a space for every purpose and person under heaven. All that is, plays an integral part in the big picture of existence. Each being, blade of grass, mountain or star, is individual, unique, and independent yet somehow mysteriously interrelated to everything else. Only the human mind creates the illusion of estrangement and opposition.

When we find ourselves in a state of mind contrary to the opinions of another, both parties need to back away from the argument to gain a broader perspective. This cools down the heat of defensiveness and creates space enough for each person to begin to understand the other’s point of view. Head-butting is not just exhausting – it creates all kinds of headaches and unnecessary complications. Cutting off from someone because they are different, or because you don’t agree with their opinion, simply shuts the door of cooperation that could provide insight and result in a breakthrough. Once you label a person as “impossible’ you are cheating everyone, especially yourself. Excluding the difficult is never a solution, because it prevents any real understanding of the challenges to be faced, and simply prolongs the discord.

The intelligent approach to opposition is to first define a neutral ground, and then come together on it. It may be difficult to do so, but if you persevere, it will be more than worth the effort, and can bring unexpected benefits.

No matter how intolerable the situation may be, nothing is impossible once all parties are genuinely willing to give peace a chance. Difficulties in communication can always be overcome if there is a sincere desire to accomplish harmony. If might take time to restore balance, but trusting that it is possible and working toward that goal will ultimately be deepen and strengthen the bonds between you. If differences can be aired in an atmosphere of respect, where each individual has plenty of space to express his or her thoughts and grievances without fear of judgment or retaliation, it’s an improved situation for everyone.

Finally, not taking yourself or your opinions so seriously will help to dispel your own hard line thinking and at the same time creates more space for trust. A little humor helps, too, because it lightens up the heaviness of an atmosphere created by skepticism and withholding.”

The Changes:
“One of the most puzzling manifestations of opposition arises when elements that naturally harmonize with one another have somehow become estranged. Whether this estrangement has come about because of a misunderstanding or because of external forces beyond your control, avoid the temptation to try to force a happy reunion. The better course is to trust in the wisdom of nature, knowing that which really belongs together will reunite in its own time.

Times of opposition sometimes bring unexpected opportunities to discover new harmonies. It is a bit like an improvisational jam session that begins in dissonance and somehow magically clicks into a truly inspired and spontaneous concert. Count yourself lucky in this one, and enjoy your role in the new band.

If you are in a position where another is holding back information or energy, or is being aggressive, do not waste your own energy in a confrontation that will only make matters worse. Rather, take time to consider what the source of your disappointment is, what future ideals you have become invested in, and relax your grip. Letting go means returning to a space of neutrality within yourself with an attitude that is willing to see what is possible without investment in particular outcomes.

Remember the old adage “Where there is a will, there is a way.” It is not just a saying, it is a truth. Everybody is unique, yet paradoxically we are all the same. Celebrating our difficulties brings harmony into everyone’s life.

Avoid using seduction seduction or any other form of manipulation to coerce others to take sides. To play that game is to get caught up in politics. It diminishes your own integrity and ultimately creates mistrust.

Stubbornly fostering an attitude that proclaims there is “no way” the relationship can work exposes the fat that somewhere in your thinking there is a hidden fear that perceives coming together as threatening. It is a good idea to clarify within your own mind what it is you are afraid of losing. Once you have got that straight, the situation will improve naturally.”

~ By Ma Deva Padma

It’s time to mend fences… where is the opposition in your life? What grudges are you holding? Who have you put beneath you when you don’t agree with their values or point of view? Gone are the ways of isolation and excommunication… these are of the old world (not to say that they are not still happening, but as we ascend, we will see it less and less until it fades away to the old 3D reality).

Now is the time to reinstate harmony, acceptance, Unconditional Love and Christ Consciousness. And we can’t really do that if we are busy judging others now can we? We can’t do it if we think we are better, we are right, or we are superior. We can’t do it if we are holding on to past pain, refusing to hear someone out, or labeling them for past mistakes. It’s time to move on.

Call that family member that you have refused to talk to since they spoke out or drank too much at so and so’s wedding. Offer an olive branch to your mother in law. Life is too short to hang on to this stuff. Focus on harmony instead of focusing on winning. Cuz creating harmony is how you win. Isn’t it?

Union

Published December 1, 2014 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle
Union

Union, from the Return Of Spirit Oracle Card deck, by Cheryl Lee Harnish

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Union, from the Return Of Spirit Oracle Card deck, by Cheryl Lee Harnish

Union: “The Union card represents the energy of two loving souls coming together in union or in partnership. If a current relationship is in question, then this card indicates a positive energy is involved.

This card can represent the beginning of a new relationship, or one that is about to start. Most often, the Union card represents intimate relationships. However, it can also point to other types of partnerships such as business partners, very close friendships. or even room-mates. In any case, the Union card communicates the predestined convergence and soul connection of two individuals. Whoever the person is that is in your life right now, or whoever it is that is coming into your life, is of great significance as far as your soul lessons are concerned. This is a beautiful opportunity for personal growth and conscious expansion of your heart center.

Sometimes these relationships bring up our deeply held beliefs about the quality of love we feel we deserve. They can hep to raise our consciousness and understanding, so that we feel safe to allow this person to see into the deepest, most vulnerable parts of ourselves. With these types of relationships, one thing is for certain – you will grow and learn from them.

Enjoy all the good this union has to offer. Be as open as possible to recognizing your triggers, fears, and old patterns of behaviour. Be mindful of when you are feeling the need to hide or protect yourself, or if you begin to fear losing their love. This will enable you to consciously address and heal any old issues and wounds of the past. This a part of the soul agreement that you and this person share. You have come together to help each other to become whole, healed, and open to love in every way.”*

– Cheryl Lee Harnish

Everyone we cross paths with has something they can teach us; if we are willing to see the lesson and learn. Those who we invite in to our lives intimately, including family, hold the Soul lessons we have chosen to learn for this lifetime. When we find ourselves victim to these people, it is because our lesson may have been repeated over several lifetimes… and basically we need more than a gentle nudge at this point! All subtlety may have been lost due to our failure to master the lesson in previous lifetimes, or we may have incorporated a whole new level to be mastered. Either way, these lessons can be extremely challenging and the faster we get it, the less pain is involved.

When we accept someone’s poor treatment of us, when we continually lower our standards and our expectations of this person, what we are actually doing is saying that we don’t deserve any better. This is not a Hollywood movie (sigh… unfortunately lol!) but reality… you may have to wait a very long time to be rescued from your unhealthy situation by your knight in shining armor. Instead? You must change your perception of your own self worth… thus becoming a magnet to what it is that you really desire in a relationship. You must decide that you refuse to settle for less; and you must decide that you are completely capable on your own, and that your knight in shining armor would just be the icing on the cake… NOT your saviour.

No one can save you but you. By deciding what it is that you really, really, really want. And pursuing it with determination, exuberation (that may not be a word but I like it), joy, and complete faith that you can achieve it. With the Universe fully supporting you every step of the way.

Until then, you have to put up with the challenges created by that which you are trying to learn in this lifetime; knowing that as soon as you decide you are ready, you can accept the lessons and move forward, dreaming and manifesting your desires as you go.

Your choice… and I mean that in the lovingest kind of way.
