Getting stuck in the material realm is easy to do and not so easy to see. If you are spending all your energy on trying constantly to “upgrade” your life via your belongings, then it’s easy to feel like you are always falling short. We are dragged in by the media, watching fancy car commercials and “celebrity house wives” which serve to make us feel inadequate in the material world. Don’t get my wrong, these women are highly disfunctional but there is always a part of us that looks at them, wondering how on earth they managed to get so much nice stuff, and why we don’t get that too! That’s why people watch the shows!

Yet how do you remove yourself from the barrage of “must have” crap out there? It takes will power… and a change of focus. We desperately need to change our focus or we won’t be here much longer. Truth. The Earth, our precious, delicate and heart breakingly beautiful planet needs our help, and there is no time to waste. If people can start to see the connection between every living creature on this planet and themselves, we can make a shift in our focus and stop worrying so much about all the excess baggage we are creating.

Have a look at this mind blowing video. It’s 16min long, I know that humans these days have an attention span of about 3 min max, so I’m asking you to stretch that, just this once and watch SCIENCE explain the connection between us, the plague of the Earth and the delicate balance in our ecosystem. And then pass it on… and then find ways to help. It really is one person at a time changing the world for the better, and the Rolex, 60″ TV and BMW are not going to be of help.
