Vishnu: “Balance”

“Rectifying imbalance in your body, mind and soul reduces suffering and pain. The middle path is the best course of action.”

“The Hindus believe that both good and evil exists in the world. This is a natural way of being. When harmony is disturbed, Vishnu appears to maintain balance.

Vishnu, the preserver, is the middle part of the Hindu trinity, between Brahma, the creator, and Shiva, the destroyer. So far, Vishnu has been reincarnated nine times to assist in balancing the powers of light and darkness. These incarnations, or avatars, include those of Rama, Krishna, and Buddha. There is a tenth reincarnation to come, when a hero called Kalki will appear, riding a white horse, to again balance the decline of humanity.

Vishnu, as a supreme spirit, has many attributes, but he is known for his great shakti (energy) and bala (strength). He uses these to keep order in the universe and to subdue injustice and instill harmony. In one avatar Parashurama, he destroyed the warrior castes who were committing great injustices among the ordinary people and sages.

Vishnu is almost always depicted with blue skin and sometimes he rides on his magnificent, bird like mount, Garuda. His partner is the goddess of prosperity, Lakshmi, who sits lovingly with him, often massaging his feet.

Should Vishnu grace you with his presence, know that he is reminding you to find balance in all things. Admittedly, this is hard; we live in a time where seeking balance seems to be at the top of everyone’s list, but first we must be aware of our imbalance! This is where Vishnu asks us to start – with awareness.

Where can you actively seek more harmony and peace? What small or large steps can you take to correct the imbalance for the good of all  – including yourself?”

Shadow Side: “Trying to balance social life and study, duty and freedom, indulgence and simplicity is almost like walking a tightrope. Vishnu invites us to be aware of our imbalances and to seek to correct them. Often the imbalances we aren’t fully aware of – until they give us pain, that is – are the ones we truly need to change. For example, imbalance can manifest as loss of focus, illness, weight issues, bad habits, patterns of low self-esteem, lack of prosperity, and addictions.”

Symbols of Vishnu: “conch, wheel, lotus, bow and arrow”

Invocation: “As with all Hindu gods, there’s a living, breathing tradition to draw upon, so there are many wonderful invocations and chants to be found. I like the following small chant that I learned while in India.

Sit cross-legged or kneel on the ground. Place your left hand, palm upturned, on your knee, and your right hand turned down upon your other knee. Imagine taking in energy from your left hand and grounding it with your right, perfectly in balance.
Say:
‘Lord Vishnu, I feel your balance,
To my left,
To my right,
Above me,
Below me,
Everywhere you are,
I am.’

Repeat this over and over while imagining the shakti (energy) flowing in and out, up and down, through you and around you, in perfect balance.

When you feel balanced, centered, and completed, stand and bow to the north, south, east and west.
Say:

‘I thank you, Lord Vishnu,
for balance in my world and the next.”*

The news of the world could quite literally drag us under. It creates a vortex of negative energy, like a black hole. It can be challenging to maintain personal balance amidst the chaos, yet this is exactly what we must strive to do. It is, quite literally, vital to our very existence.

Bombs are being dropped. Weather patterns are changing, becoming more ferocious… this is only the beginning of this phenomena. There are crazy things happening all over the place. It is quiet overwhelming. Add in our own personal drama, worries, obligations and responsibilities, and we have some very heavy energies to deal with.

So what to do about it all? How do we save the world? What can we do about all this?

All we can really do is find ways to incorporate peace into our own lives, moment by moment. Find ways to incorporate joy, passion, love and harmony into each and every day. Find ways to raise your own vibration and thus raise the vibrations of those around you.

Be the love, joy, peace, harmony and passion you wish to see in the world. Avoid the black hole as much as possible. Do not get sucked in to the fear. Meet it with Light. Fill your heart with love despite the chaos.

As much as you can; no pressure, no doubt, no self-judgement.

Just love. Infused into as many moments of every single day as you can.

Alchemy

Alchemy, from The Sirian Starseed Tarot Card deck, by Patricia Cori and Alysa Bartha

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Alchemy, from The Sirian Starseed Tarot Card deck, by Patricia Cori and Alysa Bartha

Alchemy: “Once Starseed has experienced and understood the true significance of transition from one state of being to another, she or he explores the the alchemical process of transmutation, where by elements are combined to create new forms.

While the ancient alchemists were supposedly attempting to change lead to gold, their higher purpose was in transmuting the dense, physical body into the spiritual light body of the enlightened soul.

The Alchemy key employs the magical process of glass blowing, where by the four primary earth elements of air (the breath for the glass blower), water (dripped from above to cool the glass), fire (melting the glass), earth (the silicates that, melted, form glass) are are combined to create the new form: a beautiful blown glass sphere.

Let us not forget that the consciousness of the artist, the focused intent, is the primal ingredient or impetus in this process of transmutation.

The Alchemy key is rich in meanings and can be interpreted at many levels. On the one hand, it is about blending different elements, with patience and skill, to create a desired outcome or new form. On the other, it speaks of balancing aspects of our lives in order to move forward. For some, it is a key to spiritual healing, building from the previous key of death versus immortality and how we learn from our grief and fear when we embrace our own infinity.

Words associated with this key are chemistry, temperance, mixing, blending, combining, merging, experimentation, synthesis.

What elements can I bring together to create a new perspective? How do I balance various aspects to bring harmony into my life? What is the right blend of ingredients for the situation at hand? Do I have the patience to keep working until I find the solution? What is my vision for what I am trying to create, and how do I plan to achieve it? Do I have balance in my heart, soul, and mind?”*

~ By Patricia Cori and Alysa Bartha

Again we are brought a message of Alchemy. Turning lead to gold. This is the process of ascension, releasing the old, dense, third dimensional reality and embracing the new, higher consciousness of the fifth dimensional Being. It’s all about perspective… shifting, molding, transforming our reality from the inside out.

There is a call to simplify our lives; get back to nature, reconnect on a personal level. Walk the Earth. Look into each other’s eyes. Limit technology. Meditate; Listen. Get back to the old ways. This is how we reconnect to our Great Mother Gaia. This is how we awaken and expand our consciousness. This is how we shake off the programming and reactivate who we really are. We align with our Soul Purpose, stepping off the hamster wheel and onto the journey of our lives.

Two Of Earth

Published March 22, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Two Of Earth, from the Dreams Of Gaia Tarot Card deck, by Ravynne Phelan

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Two Of Earth, from the Dreams Of Gaia Tarot Card deck, by Ravynne Phelan

Two Of Earth: “Equilibrium, Flexibility, Adaptability, Balance, Harmony, Compromise, Confidence, Procrastination, Freedom”

Key Phrases: “Balancing work and play. Balancing responsibility and personal needs. Be open to compromise. Be confident buy grounded. Realistic goals and expectations. Take stock and prioritize. Forgive your limitations. Ask for help.”

Two Of Earth Card Meaning: “The Two Of Earth card symbolizes the importance of balancing work, home, family, and play, whilst remaining flexible and adaptable in meeting one’s commitments and responsibilities.

You are filled with a  sense of purpose. You have goals and dreams. Nurture them. Be willing to do what is needed in order to make them manifest, but do so with mindfulness and the awarness that all you do has an impact on those around you.

Be confident. Trust in both yourself and your abilities. But also be flexible, adaptable, and open to compromise.

Self-belief is the key to maintaining a healthy equilibrium. If you believe that you can achieve your goals and meet your responsibilities at the same time, then there is a good chance that you can. But ground your self-confidence in reality, realizing that you are not superhuman or perfect. There is a limit to what you can do and achieve without burning the candle at both ends. Be aware and respectful of your physical, mental and emotional needs.

Forgive your limitations; ask for help, and share your responsibilities if you need to – before you start to drop things because you are mentally, physically and emotionally worn out.”

Potential Blockage: “Stress, anxiety, fatigue, failure to manifest desired outcomes, an inability to focus, neglect of self and others – all these are symptoms of being overburdened and overwhelmed.

Too many responsibilities and goals can result in your feeling overwhelmed and weighed down. Distraction, procrastination, and the failure to meet commitments may create conflict with those around you.

An unwillingness or inability to focus on what is truly important will manifest in less than desirable outcomes.

When the Two Of Earth appears as Challenger, it represents a need to take stock, and to prioritize. It is time to decide what it is that is truly important to you, and put all else aside. If you do not, you may lose the very things that matter the most to you.”*

~ By Ravynne Phelan

How many things are you juggling right now? And how does it make you feel? Are you grabbing every opportunity, setting goals and going after them? Or are you spread too thin, getting stressed and feeling overwhelmed? How we deal with what is in front of us is up to us. How we feel about how much we have on our plate right now determines whether or not we are in alignment or scattered.

If you are full of energy and putting your plan into action, keep doing what you are doing! This is the ideal space to be in, one of creative action and mindful manifestation. Be aware of where you put your energy and what you say “yes” to… keep your boundaries firmly in place and do not stray off course. There may be a time when you have to say no to someone regarding what they think you “should” do for them. It is OK to stick to your guns and politely decline, your projects need you now more than ever.

If you are feeling off track, or that you have too much going on, this is an indication that you need to set up some clear boundaries for yourself, your time and your energy. No one can do this for you but you! Take stock of everything you feel you must accomplish and clean house… decide what stays and what gets delegated to others. Ask for help if you need it, you do not have to go this alone. As soon as you bring things into balance, you will find a renewed energy and you can again pick up the pace. this time using your energy and focus to create what is truly important to you. For the Highest Good of All.

Sobek and Horus

Published March 18, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Sobek and Horus, from the Anubis Oracle, by Nicki Scully and Linda Star Wolf, illustrated by Kris Waldherr

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Sobek and Horus, from the Anubis Oracle, by Nicki Scully and Linda Star Wolf, illustrated by Kris Waldherr

Sobek and Horus: “Reconciliation of Opposites; Forgiveness and Understanding”

“Sobek and Horus represent two powerful opposing psychic forces found in all human beings – the old and the new parts of each of us. They appear together as adversarial allies to hep us reconcile opposing forces and create harmonious, balanced union within.

The crocodile god, Sobek, represents strength and fortitude, fertility and rebirth. From Sobek, we inherited the reptilian brain that contains the ancient evolutionary patterns. It rules the autonomic functions that have kept us protected to grow forward.

Horus is the son of Isis and Osiris. In this oracle he comes into maturity and prepares to step into his full power as the enlightened ruler. All pharaohs are called Hours. As a hawk headed diety, he is associated with higher mental and spiritual functions.

If you have drawn this card, it is time to take a deeper look at the energetic desire to evolve while stepping into a new way of being. You may experience a sense of conflict from the old self. In truth, it is willing but needs to know that what is of value will not be lost and that mistakes will not be repeated. This is an opportunity to take stock of the newer self that wants to evolve and step forward, and of the old self that wants to make sure you have a solid foundation to stand on.

Drawing this card indicates that resolution is afoot. If there is a conflict in your life or something in the way of your forward or upward motion, meditating with these two seemingly opposing forces can bring you to a deeper understanding of a relationship or situation. It can also open the way for forgiveness. If you bump into that part of yourself that is closed to forgiveness, stay open: it is one of the most potent keys for resolution.”*

~ By Nicki Scully and Linda Star Wolf

The only way to truly move forward is to release all the old. Old thought patterns and conditioning. Old ways of thinking and of being in the world. This may involve great changes, releasing people and situations; even moving house,  changing jobs or going in a completely different direction.

In order to do this, you will have to forgive those who were placed in your life to teach you lessons that have made you uncomfortable or caused you any pain or trauma. This is not always easy to do, yet if we don’t release them from the grip of our pain, it is us who eternally suffer. It does not mean that you condone the behaviour, it means that you forgive and move on so that you do not attract these same patterns or lessons any more. You are done with all that.

See yourself standing in front of the person you need to release. If there are more than one, then do one at a time. Look this person right in the eye and tell them: “I forgive you, I release you.” Then feel yourself quite literally sprouting wings and spreading them wide. See yourself fly right through the sacred space created by Sobek and Horus on the card image as they hold safe space for you. Look up and see yourself fly high above the person you are releasing, looking down upon them standing there alone, getting smaller and smaller as you soar high above. Allow yourself a couple of deep breaths and take in the idea that you are now completely free of this burden you have been carrying. You are light, you are free and you are able to detach from all the drama that this person has caused you. You never have to fly back down to them and experience this pain again. If you choose to have this person stay in your life, set the intention that your relationship with them will start anew, with you being fully empowered and you will never lose your freedom to them, or anyone else, ever again. Know that Sobek and Horus will always provide this safe space for you to forgive and release all those who are holding you back in your life or causing you any pain.

And so it is

Two of Pentacles

Published March 15, 2017 by Dee ~ Archangel Oracle

Two of Pentacles, from the Green Witch Tarot, by Ann Moura artwork by Kiri Ostergaard Leonard

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Two of Pentacles, from the Green Witch Tarot, by Ann Moura artwork by Kiri Ostergaard Leonard

Two of Pentacles: “This card shows a farmer balancing two pentacles, indicating his ability to balance finances as well as learn new skills, as progress in his area of expertise creates changes in methods. As a card of practicing dexterity, this card indicates energy being directed with determination to accomplish something for job, financial, or personal security. New approaches at work or a promotion could require specialized training, but the person has the ability to pick up these new skills with ease. While others may struggle or resist change, this person moves with confidence, adapting easily to new situations and requirements. The farmer depicted is unconcerned about the coming storm, for he knows his job and has secured his barn, so he is prepared for anything.

In some cases this card indicates balancing two jobs for financial security, but with the resolve necessary to carry on until finances improve. It could also be a card of apprenticeship, learning from a master or other professional, or it could simply show the need to live within a budget, depending on surrounding cards.

Patchouli, an herb of growth, knowledge and balancing finances, grows by the barn. A fox, for adaptability, cleverness, determination and agility, walks nearby.”

Two of Pentacles Card Meaning: “Balancing finances, learning new skills, agile with finances, energy for attaining goals, next phase in work begins, employment opportunity, a learning stage passes quickly, weighing work choices or options for a business decision.”

Two of Pentacles As Challenger: “Difficult situation requires a careful balance, a need to live within means, lack of enthusiasm for changes needed for success, stress.”

Prompt Words: “Balancing finances, learning new skills”

~ By Ann Moura

There is a message of balance here, and also a message of choice; of weighing one’s options. There may be a polarity here – a big decision to make between two very different outcomes. The way that he is holding the pentacles indicates that really, the decision has already been made; within your heart of hearts, you know exactly which choice must be made… it is the choice that uplifts your spirits, even if it seems daunting or scary at first, you simply know this is the right choice for you. Notice that the man has a hint of a smile on his face as he gazes up at the pentacle on his right, his foot raised as if he is about to dance. He, the fox and the rooster on the rooftop all point in the same direction; this is also confirmation. There is more light in the sky on his right side, letting you know that your decision will be supported by the Universe, and that the future is bright. The impending storm in the background indicates that there is some urgency here; this is a decision that must be made soon, you simply cannot sit on the fence forever.  Fox is quick witted and agile; able to assess a situation and pounce without holding back and losing his chance. He is asking that you do the same; trust in your instincts and intuition and take the reins when the window of opportunity opens to you. The doors of the barn are closed, indicating that one chapter is ended and a brand new beginning is on offer to you now.

You know what you need to do in order to move forward.

Do it now

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Nurture, from the Whispers Of Lord Ganesha Oracle Card deck, by Angela Hartfield, artwork by Ekaterina Golovanova

Nurture: “Focus on creating a calm and balanced life for yourself.”

“Ganesha asks you to maintain a compassionate, nurturing, realistic and down to earth attitude when it comes to collaborating with others and your present conditions. You can benefit from being more resourceful and practical. This is a time of slowing down and biding your time and resources. Deal with any issues as they arise, and brainstorm practical and easy solutions that will fix the problem with minimal drama.

Be careful of giving too much, without regard for your own needs. If you have been feeling exhausted or have been prone to illness, you are invited to stop doing so much for others and do more for you at this time. Do not seek empowerment by doing for others from a place of needing acknowledgment. Empower yourself by nurturing yourself and then, from a healthy place, help others.

Learn to nurture and to create occasions for others to grow by offering a safe, accommodating energy. This energy is the energy of the heart chakra. As your life comes more into alignment with your soul purpose, you bring this nurturing and unconditional love beyond your immediate surroundings and out into the world.

The female figure in this card is Ganesha’s mother, Parvati. She represents a strong female figure in your life that you may look to for extra support and guidance. this could be any female role model, friend or acquaintance that you find yourself drawn to at this time. Alternatively, Parvati can represent a part of yourself, especially when much of your time is spent focusing on the nurturing and caring of others.”*

~ By Angela Hartfield

If your energies are feeling scattered, or you are feeling stretched in too many directions at once, it is time to pull back in. We take on too much, we look after every one else’s needs and put them before our own, and we end up feeling exhausted and depleted. Sometimes we do this because we are trying to avoid conflict, sometimes we are seeking approval through making others happy, and sometimes we have just taken on too much responsibility. Maybe we are using looking after others as a distraction so that we don’t have the time or energy to deal with what is going on in our own lives. Maybe we are using it to heal guilt or shame. And maybe we simply find ourselves in that certain stage of life at this time… having young children, aging parents or a new business that just takes up all our time and energy.

If possible, take some time for self-care. Take a break from all that you have going on in your life; and from the worries and stress these people or issues may create. When we take a little break, it not only assists us physically and emotionally to recharge our batteries and build up our strength and energy stores; it also helps us to shift our perspective.

Seek the counsil of a a “wise elder,” someone who has been through what you have been through, and can either help you or give you some sage advice. Accept help when it is offered, and do not feel guilty for needing assistance. Do some research and see if you can find a simple solution to streamline any challenges without allowing them to throw you too far off track.

Ganesha is the breaker of obstacles and he is here to assist us in finding a simple, accessible path on our journey. Ask him to stay by your side and show the way.

Scales Of Balance

Scales Of Balance, from the Isis Oracle, by Alana Fairchild, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Scales Of Balance, from the Isis Oracle, by Alana Fairchild, artwork by Jimmy Manton

Scales Of Balance: “Ancient Tantra of the Soul”

“You are a Tantrika, Ian Initiate on the Path of Divine Healing of the Masculine and Feminine, the two sacred polarities that are universal to human experience. As these energies come into mutual respect and  balance, you attain great power, presence and healing effect in the world of the Soul and in the human world of forms here on this Earth. You are supported in further exploring this path now, under the auspices and blessing of beloved Isis.”

“You are in the process of sacred relationship healing of the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine energies within your own Soul. This is the advanced spiritual path of Tantra. It is the connection of the body and Soul. The effect of this inner divine relationship healing is genuine enlightenment of the mind and the body. The body becomes a living sacred temple of light, energy and wild aliveness. This embodiment can be experienced in movement, in deep stillness, in vitality and in quietness.

You are a Tantrika, a sacred priest-priestess of the Tantric arts. Some people mistakenly believe that Tantra is simply about sexuality, but it is in truth the journey of the Soul to bring masculine and feminine polarities into wholeness, love, unity and empowerment – to learn to be the enlightened path in every element of your being. This is Soul-building work that is in great service to the spiritual healing and evolution of humanity, which is in deep need of those such as yourself, who can help create sacred connection between mind and body. It might be through your own personal healing of your body-mind connection and perhaps through your healing services for others that you walk your Tantric Path. It might be done in a private way or in an obvious way. What matters is that it feels right for you. Walking this path authentically is a choice to live in dedication to the sacred work of Isis who taught us about the creative power that could come of healing the relationship between masculine and feminine consciousness.

You are guided to accept this healing through learning to balance the masculine and feminine energies within yourself and your relationships with others. Balancing give and take, directing and flowing, play and solitude are ways to do this now. Learning to feel as comfortable as possible with your sexual and spiritual nature, seeing how they can complement rather than compete with each other is helpful too. Connection with the body is the most powerful form of healing for the feminine energy as it holds the secrets to Divine Feminine wisdom. This can occur through movement, dance and yoga that is based on body awareness and presence, rather than necessarily involving fast flowing postures that may take you more into your head than your body. You can come more into your body through time in nature, swimming, laying in the sun, resting or walking provided that you stay present to the physical sensations that you experience.

This Oracle also comes as a guide for you Path of Inner Healing and Service. You are encouraged to explore Divine Masculine and Feminine healing within yourself specifically at this time. This may involve forgiveness of past relationships with significant males or females in your life. It may also require an adjustment of softening to allow in feminine wisdom, or cutting out some distraction or draining situations or relationships that minimize your sense of your own power and capacity to use masculine wisdom well.

If you also drew the Oracle Of Healing the Divine Masculine, you are actively encouraged to explore Tantra as a personal healing journey this lifetime. There are many different teachers and approaches under the heading of ‘tantra’ these days. Use discernment and trust what feels right to you.

You are also guided, if in healing work with others, that you can help others heal through exploring the interplay of masculine and feminine energies. It might be through connection of mind and body, through inner and outer worlds, through sexuality and spirituality, joining for healing. Enjoy the unfolding journey, beloved Initiate, for it will be highly creative and could involve art, movement as dance, yoga, breath work and much more!”

“The Scales are balanced with perfection
Feminine and Masculine in Divine Connection
Surrender and strength, Body and Soul
Together are loved, united and whole
I know when to act and when to rest
Scales of Balance allow harmony to vest
Deep within I am now at peace
As imbalance I effortlessly now release
I feel balance, wholeness and vitality
As I balance and heal my Divine Humanity”*

~ By Alana Fairchild

When we find balance within ourselves, we can expect to see thing balance out around us, this is how the Universe works. We must balance our masculine and feminine energies; in ourselves, and in our lives. This means that we must find our sovereignty, our Truth. We must step into our power fearlessly. We must be direct and honest, but not aggressive or manipulative. We must be creative without being scattered, and we must find our sensuality without it having to be overtly sexual. Balance. Harmony.

Look at your relationships closely. Are they balanced? Are you respected? Are you being heard? Are you hearing others? Are you able to meet half way, support each other and trust? These are all indications of balance… or imbalance… only you truly know.

When we balance the energies within ourselves and our lives, it will cause a ripple effect. We will no longer have men against women. We will no longer need to fear for ourselves and our lives as women, as minorities. We cannot see ourselves as victims in our own lives and not expect that mind set to affect everything around us. We must release all the old fear, the old programs that tell us that we are weak, we need taking care of, we are less than, or that we should live in fear… or be feared.

When Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine come together it is in perfect balance and harmony. There is common ground; there is a meeting of the Souls; there is a deep understanding. Where one ends the other begins. They are not the same, but they revere each others differences and meet them with Love. Hearts are open, Souls are bared. Fear is needless. This is when the co-creation of something brand new begins.

Looking around us now, we seem so very far from there. So instead of looking so far outwards, look inside instead. Heal it there first. Then heal it within your closest relationships. With each ripple outwards, a profound difference will be made. Do the work and reap the benefits for All.

It is time to come together.
