Capacity To Love: “It takes courage to open up and heal areas of deep vulnerability”

“Each human individual is created with a profound longing to feel loved. Out of this need for love, you may exaggerate and parade your fascinating qualities, while masking your weaknesses or fears. If you are not committed to looking at your root issues, you will feel disconnected from your true self.

Take a moment to look at how you are handling yourself. Are you being open and honest? Are you withdrawing from a situation? Are you masking a problem with some sort of avoidance tactic such as shopping, drinking, or eating excessively? Are you holding grudges?

When your heart is open, you will find that your actions tend to match your words. You rarely get offended. You are emotionally available. When your heart is open, you truly take responsibility for who you are and what your beliefs are. You love yourself more completely. Conflict resolves more easily and you have a desire to live in harmony with others.

Ganesha’s trunk represents the ability to consider how you are perceiving this situation which is significant in your spiritual growth. An elephant’s trunk is an important appendage that is used in its day to day functioning – it serves to remove trees and other large obstacles as well as for more fiddly tasks such as breaking open fruits to eat. An elephant has the capability to handle a range of tasks from minute ones to those requiring great strength. In this way, Ganesha’s trunk is an emblem of his great intelligence and his extraordinary capacity for love. Rely on your own vast array of abilities to tackle your problems and know that Ganesha is supporting you in this process.”*

~by Angela Heartfield

You deserve love. Divine love, family love, romantic love, love from your animal friends, love from your friends. You deserve to be surrounded by unconditional Love and support and true acceptance. How does that make you feel?

Do you shut down when you think of receiving love? Or do you open your heart, mind and arms wide to receive it? Do you feel completely worthy of Love? Are you able to give love and allow yourself to receive love in equal balance, or do you feel that you must give much more than you receive in order to be worthy? Do you see those you love or those who love you as above or below you? Or do you see yourself equal to all others?

These are all questions to ponder in order to see patterns in your life and your relationships. This is where the healing begins. It is so important to see ourselves as worthy and equal to others in loving relationships, and maintain a harmonious give and take of love and affection. We deserve it. They deserve it.

We are all One in Love.

Persephone: “Cycles”

“It is time for a change, and it will be positive. Respect your own natural cycles. Be mindful of seasonal changes and go with the flow taking these into account in your diet and activity level.”

“The god Zeus and his brother Hades, god of the underworld, were discussing Hades’s marriage. It seemed that the Hades, eligible in most respects, wanted a queen for himself. Persephone was the beautiful daughter of Zeus and Demeter – the goddess of agriculture – and seemed a fine choice. Zeus promised the hand of Persephone to Hades, and both men were pleased. Unfortunately, Zeus forgot his promise and neglected to inform any of the women! Hades became impatient waiting and decided to take Persephone.

One bright day, as Persephone was enjoying the sunshine outdoors with her handmaidens, she came upon a particularly stunning narcissus flower. As she picked it, she heard a great rumbling. Hades arose from the ground and seized her. Persephone struggled, but Hades overpowered her and took her down to the underworld.

Only the goddess Hekate and the sun god Helios heart her screams. Hekate told Demeter what she had heard. Being a devoted and loving mother, Demeter frantically searched for her daughter but to no avail. As she could think of nothing else besides her daughter, she began to neglect her role of grain giver and earth mother, and so the fields began to die.

Soon the people began to starve, and they cried to Zeus to save them. Helios told Demeter of Hade’s act, and Zeus was forced to demand that Hades return Persephone.

In the underworld, meanwhile, Persephone missed the world above but had begun to like Hades a little, so when he kindly offered her a pomegranate to eat, she accepted it. She had consumed six seeds of the glossy, ruby-red fruit when Zeus’s demand reached them. According to the Fates, if food or drink is consumed in the underworld, one must remain there, so it seemed Persephone would have to stay in the world of shadows. Zeus, however, came up with a compromise: Persephone would spend six months with Hades and six months above with Demeter.

As Persephone leaves the darkness, the goddess Hekate meets her, flaming torches in hand, and guides her back to the blue sky and her mother. Demeter, in her joy, resumes her work with the fields. Life again appears on earth. However, every six months, when Persephone returns to Hades, Demeter grieves and leaves the world barren.

This is a story of cycles, of how things naturally progress and change. In ancient Greece, when a young woman was married, she left home and joined the family of her husband. Her parents and siblings were both sad and happy and the bride often went through a period of adjustment. Although she lost her identity and freedom as a maiden, the bride became queen of her new home.

This story also illustrates how the seasons change, how the earth and its fruits die in the winter only to be reborn in the spring, flourish in the summer and be harvested in the autumn. Change and transition is everywhere, and constant. The natural cycles are something to be mindful of, connect with, and enjoy if we are to gain the most from our year.

Should the lovely Persephone grace your life, it is to remind you that cycles are natural. There are times to feel introverted and extroverted, energetic and restful, happy and sad – none of these is better than the other. There was a time you were a baby, a time you were a child, a time you will grow older – each with its own joys and challenges. Take the time to connect with your own personal cycles and you can expect to reap many benefits, particularly physical ones. Do not expect yourself to be happy just because others are, or ready for the same steps at the same time. Let your body and mind experience your life naturally and without expectation based on someone else’s cycles. Pressuring yourself or others to want the same things at the same time isn’t healthy or respectful of your true self.”

If This Card Comes To You As Challenger: “Resisting natural growth or cycles is not useful to developing a smooth and happy life. It is a natural part of life to grow up and to transform in our minds and bodies, and sometimes that can be a scary process. Additionally, there may be times when we do not want to accept the changes that need to be made, even if they are inevitable, and we may be angry and upset about them. Sometimes we face changes to our family situations, where we live, our relationships, or our schools that we do not like and cannot control, yet we must adapt to them the best way possible. We can learn resilience and be creative with our solutions.”

Symbolism: “Pomegranate, crown, robed woman carrying a sheath of wheat, spring, seeds, flowers”*

~by Stacey Demarco, artwork by Jimmy Manton

It’s natural to go through a grieving process when you have to give something up to make space for something new. Honour this time. Honour your feelings, let them flow through you, this is part of your journey into authenticity. You can’t stuff your emotions anymore and expect it not to have a lasting effect on your body, mind and spirit. You cannot pretend any longer that you don’t care, you don’t get hurt or you aren’t worth more than this. You are worth much more. But you have to accept the lesson first.

What, or who, do you need to release in order to move forward. And if you have been courageous enough to do this, give yourself time to process it. Heal. It takes a little time, it is a natural cycle. Do not let the fear of feeling the emotions allow you to refuse to experience them in all they have to offer you. Feel into it. Then bless and release with gratitude for the lesson learned. This is only a small part of something so much better you will not believe it. Until you make space for it and invite it in. Open mind and open heart.

Anything is possible now as you step into a brand new cycle in your life. There has been a cycle from 2008 to now that has come to an end. Bless, release and welcome in the new with open arms and open mind. This is going to be the beginning of something very special.

Persephone’s message to us is that sometimes we have to delve right into the darkness in order to find the light.

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Fire Keepers, from the Sacred Geometry Cards For The Visionary Path, by Francene Hart

Fire Keepers: ” Sacred Responsibility, Service”

“Fire is historically the source for protective warmth, light in the darkness, and heat for cooking and was essential to the survival of the original peoples. Fire keepers hold a sacred responsibility both for the physical survival and the ceremonial spiritual protection of the community. Theirs is an essential and esteemed service.

Triangles represent Spirit, divinity, life, strength, harmony, and completion. The upwards facing triangle is traditionally associated with fire, action, and the masculine.

Three fires warming many hands invite you to warm to the understanding of these three levels of conscious personal mastery: physical awareness, mental intention, and spiritual evolution.

*You are invited to become aware of the effect your actions have on this physical plane. Are you living your bliss through your chosen vocation? Does your “job” contribute to the welfare of those around you as well as your own needs?

*Engage your mind and reflect on how the responsibilities you have chosen contribute to the whole of humanity. How might you more effectively engage your intentions to set in motion your vision of the future?

*Explore your connection to Spirit and request to be of greater service to divine will and the evolution of consciousness.

This is a card of action. Recognition of your sacred responsibility will help to bring you into alignment with the purpose of your soul.

If This Card Comes To You As Challenger: “Has your enthusiasm grown cold of late? Consciously revitalize the fire of your vision.”*

~ By Francene Hart

We are being called together, this is ascension. It is seeing that we are each individual and unique expressions of the Divine, and yet we are also connected to every aspect of the Universe and it’s creations. We are the Light, and coming together just makes us shine more brightly. We need each other. The illusion of separation is dissolving and we are banding together to heal and grow as One.

It is time to step into our gifts; our Sacred Service, the reason why we incarnated here. It is time for us to share what we came here to share. Each one of us is a piece of a much greater puzzle, each just as important as the next piece. A puzzle cannot be complete if there is even one piece missing. You are that one piece.

The key is joy, passion and zest for life. Follow that feeling and do what brings these wonderful emotions to you. By being in your joy, you raise your vibration. When you raise your vibration, you heal yourself, others, and the planet. Yes, really, you do! When you are joyful, truly passionate and living with your heart open, you are a healing force of Love and Light. That is your path. That is why you came. And you are such a powerful healer, we can’t do it without you.

Find your joy. Live your passion. Light up those around you with your fire.

This lifetime is too short to hold back any longer.

The Cauldron

The Cauldron, from the Tao Oracle, by Ma Deva Padma

Daily Angel Oracle Card: The Cauldron, from the Tao Oracle, by Ma Deva Padma

The Cauldron: “The cauldron represents a bringing forth, from the depths of your being, an expression of your own vision and creativity. You are now ready to give birth to a dream that has been developing within you for some time. the moment is ripe to make a meaningful contribution, and your essential self has already begun to prepare you for the next step.

Within itself, your unique nature carries all you need to succeed – and your commitment is such that you will achieve the best possible results without compromising the integrity of your work or of your own being. When life reveals the path ahead, it is testifying to the timeliness of our creative vision and its potential to benefit others. The first whisperings of that “Go ahead!” may appear from within or in unexpected ways – as dreams, an insight sparked by a glimpse of something, or words overheard in a passing conversation. This existential green light is the culmination of a long gestation period that required patient perseverance on your part. Not only has it been a test of character, it has also reflected the depth of your own self-worth. We become integrated and mature by watching, waiting, and trusting that all these insights and impressions will be added to the cauldron and will, one day, be fully “cooked.” Trusting from your core that there is perfection in the timing of all things keeps the cauldron simmering nicely – and as time passes its fragrance begins to permeate every aspect of your life.

Learning to relax with life’s give and take, without imposing limits or calculating gains and losses, creates wisdom, compassion, and the ability to discern what is appropriate in even the most difficult circumstances. This sharpened awareness works in harmony with an intuitive knowing that immediately senses the correct means of approach, and who to approach when help is needed.

The Cauldron is wisdom that purifies the false, superfluous, and superficial, and shifts the emphasis from the mundane to the higher values that help us live in peaceful harmony with nature and each other. by defining and refining. The Cauldron increases our capacity for clarity by illuminating our virtues. Wisdom is luminous. When we live creatively in self-awareness and self-mastery, the resulting luminosity, merely by its presence, effortlessly exposes ignorance and darkness of all kinds.

Perceiving life as an invitation that only awaits your participation triggers a subtle dismantling of rigid thinking patterns that have created insecurity and fear of change. You are at a crossroads now. The path may not be visible, but you sense and welcome the first signs of the deep shift that is taking place. There may be a greater sense of freedom in your words and actions, and in how you relate with others.

Finally, you can appreciate the unique individual you are. Offering that uniqueness to others is the way to return something, in gratitude, to Existence. The more you give, the more you will continue to be rejuvenated. Your life can become your art, your prayer, your meditation. In its wisdom and abundance, Tao gently guides us to follow its course, and when we do so, it gives back a thousandfold.”*

~ By Ma Deva Padma

The cauldron is a representation of the true authentic essence of You. It is your heart and Soul, it is your life experience; the lessons, the love, the loss, the pain, the victories, the choices, mistakes and secrets. It contains all the moments; all the truth and all the illusions;  all the thoughts and feelings that make you… You! And where it is now is exactly where it is supposed to be, it has boiled away the unnecessary and made a magical brew of deep sacred wisdom, faith, trust, love and light. All your hopes and dreams, all your inspirations and aspirations are now slowly bubbling to the surface to be used for the Highest Good of All and your highest good.

This is magic; the this is where your inner Divinity shines through. It is a concentration of all the hard work and effort you have put in, all paying off. It is the abundance of the Universe shown in the smooth reduction of your elements of Being.

This is also a turning point. A point when you can reveal your true gifts, your previously hidden talents and your newly discovered self-worth. Doors are opening, opportunities abound.

Anything is possible now as you use delve into this cauldron of your very being: the culmination of  every lifetime, every lesson, every gift; across all time and space… all together finally….

Creating your pure and magical elixir which can be used to create and manifest your wildest dreams.

Opposition

Opposition

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Opposition, from the Tao Oracle, by Ma Deva Padma

“Opposition can be a profound learning experience when it leads to the understanding that differences to not have to create breakdowns. In fact, all apparently opposing forces highlight the unique qualities, the strengths as well as the weaknesses of each other. We commonly define sadness as opposite to joy, dark in opposition to light, death against life. But from a broader perspective these qualities are two sides of the same coin, dual aspects of wholeness. In fact, each serves the other, adds spice to life, and creates a beauty that far exceeds the limitations set by rigid thinking.

It is said that for everything there is a season, a time, and a space for every purpose and person under heaven. All that is, plays an integral part in the big picture of existence. Each being, blade of grass, mountain or star, is individual, unique, and independent yet somehow mysteriously interrelated to everything else. Only the human mind creates the illusion of estrangement and opposition.

When we find ourselves in a state of mind contrary to the opinions of another, both parties need to back away from the argument to gain a broader perspective. This cools down the heat of defensiveness and creates space enough for each person to begin to understand the other’s point of view. Head-butting is not just exhausting – it creates all kinds of headaches and unnecessary complications. Cutting off from someone because they are different, or because you don’t agree with their opinion, simply shuts the door of cooperation that could provide insight and result in a breakthrough. Once you label a person as “impossible’ you are cheating everyone, especially yourself. Excluding the difficult is never a solution, because it prevents any real understanding of the challenges to be faced, and simply prolongs the discord.

The intelligent approach to opposition is to first define a neutral ground, and then come together on it. It may be difficult to do so, but if you persevere, it will be more than worth the effort, and can bring unexpected benefits.

No matter how intolerable the situation may be, nothing is impossible once all parties are genuinely willing to give peace a chance. Difficulties in communication can always be overcome if there is a sincere desire to accomplish harmony. If might take time to restore balance, but trusting that it is possible and working toward that goal will ultimately be deepen and strengthen the bonds between you. If differences can be aired in an atmosphere of respect, where each individual has plenty of space to express his or her thoughts and grievances without fear of judgment or retaliation, it’s an improved situation for everyone.

Finally, not taking yourself or your opinions so seriously will help to dispel your own hard line thinking and at the same time creates more space for trust. A little humor helps, too, because it lightens up the heaviness of an atmosphere created by skepticism and withholding.”

The Changes:
“One of the most puzzling manifestations of opposition arises when elements that naturally harmonize with one another have somehow become estranged. Whether this estrangement has come about because of a misunderstanding or because of external forces beyond your control, avoid the temptation to try to force a happy reunion. The better course is to trust in the wisdom of nature, knowing that which really belongs together will reunite in its own time.

Times of opposition sometimes bring unexpected opportunities to discover new harmonies. It is a bit like an improvisational jam session that begins in dissonance and somehow magically clicks into a truly inspired and spontaneous concert. Count yourself lucky in this one, and enjoy your role in the new band.

If you are in a position where another is holding back information or energy, or is being aggressive, do not waste your own energy in a confrontation that will only make matters worse. Rather, take time to consider what the source of your disappointment is, what future ideals you have become invested in, and relax your grip. Letting go means returning to a space of neutrality within yourself with an attitude that is willing to see what is possible without investment in particular outcomes.

Remember the old adage “Where there is a will, there is a way.” It is not just a saying, it is a truth. Everybody is unique, yet paradoxically we are all the same. Celebrating our difficulties brings harmony into everyone’s life.

Avoid using seduction seduction or any other form of manipulation to coerce others to take sides. To play that game is to get caught up in politics. It diminishes your own integrity and ultimately creates mistrust.

Stubbornly fostering an attitude that proclaims there is “no way” the relationship can work exposes the fat that somewhere in your thinking there is a hidden fear that perceives coming together as threatening. It is a good idea to clarify within your own mind what it is you are afraid of losing. Once you have got that straight, the situation will improve naturally.”

~ By Ma Deva Padma

It’s time to mend fences… where is the opposition in your life? What grudges are you holding? Who have you put beneath you when you don’t agree with their values or point of view? Gone are the ways of isolation and excommunication… these are of the old world (not to say that they are not still happening, but as we ascend, we will see it less and less until it fades away to the old 3D reality).

Now is the time to reinstate harmony, acceptance, Unconditional Love and Christ Consciousness. And we can’t really do that if we are busy judging others now can we? We can’t do it if we think we are better, we are right, or we are superior. We can’t do it if we are holding on to past pain, refusing to hear someone out, or labeling them for past mistakes. It’s time to move on.

Call that family member that you have refused to talk to since they spoke out or drank too much at so and so’s wedding. Offer an olive branch to your mother in law. Life is too short to hang on to this stuff. Focus on harmony instead of focusing on winning. Cuz creating harmony is how you win. Isn’t it?

Peace

Peace, from the Wisdom Of The Oracle, by Colette Baron-Reid

Peace, from the Wisdom Of The Oracle, by Colette Baron-Reid

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Peace, from the Wisdom Of The Oracle, by Colette Baron-Reid

Essential Meanings: “Freedom from attachment; radical acceptance.”

The Oracle’s Message: “It does not get any better than this: a quiet mind, a heart fulfilled, freedom from want, and the Soul’s satisfaction. The way to peace is through radical acceptance. Everything in your world is exactly as it should be. Harmony is beautiful. Enjoy it.”

Relationship Message: “When two people are in true alignment with one another, they have an innate harmony between them. They are as two perfectly tuned instruments playing together. Sometimes it is impossible to tell who is who. Peace is yours, and it is to be savored.”

Prosperity Message: “This is one of those times when you are capable of clear vision about your work and how you create your prosperity. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. You are called by a Presence to step into your power. Just being is enough, for you are in peaceful harmony with Spirit and it shows in your work.”

Protection Message: “Now is a time for calmness and well-being in spite of temporary conditions. Even if there are dissonant notes in the music of your life, all that means is that you must go within and fine-tune the extraordinary instrument that you are. Find harmony within yourself, and do not look to the outer world to provide certainty. This, too, shall pass, and once again your life will be filled with beautiful music.”*

~ By Colette Baron-Reid

Peace and perfection are not linked together. Yes, of course it would be great to have everything in perfect alignment in order to be able to fully embrace a peaceful life, but it may be a relief to know that is not how it works. How it does work is to intend to find peace despite, or in the face of, whatever you perceive hinders you from finding your desired peace. Peace is an agreement that you make, which allows the Universe and your Higher Self to take over and find solutions to problems which may feel insurmountable or chronic. Peace is mindful trust and faith at work, a deep knowing that we are protected and provided for no matter the current reality we are immersed in.

To access peace on a physical level, yoga and deep breathing are key. Mindfully breathing right down into your belly tells your body that you are safe, that you are out of the fight or flight mode and that you are right here, right now. Adding visualizing to your deep breathing calms an overactive “monkey” mind and allows us to watch for patterns of worry, fear and doubt which may be contributing to the creation of our present reality. When the body is calmed, and the mind is controlled, the spiritual connection can be opened and strengthened into a bridge to the Universal energies of Love and Light, creating feelings of peace and fulfillment.

Peace, like yoga, is a practice. It is a daily calling of mindfulness, of presence and of deep awareness. It is ease and grace, acceptance and balance. It is a portal to the higher dimensions, a magnet to possibility and a pure state of receptive consciousness.

I AM Peace

Rings Of Time

Rings Of Time, from the Journey Of Love Oracle Card deck, by Alana Fairchild, Rassouli and Richard Cohn

Daily Angel Oracle Card: Rings Of Time, from the Journey Of Love Oracle Card deck, by Alana Fairchild, Rassouli and Richard Cohn

“Divine timing is granted to us as a gift. Sometimes if we want to be “further ahead” than where we are, that gift can seem like a restriction rather than a generous holding. Much like traffic that moves systematically so that not only one car, but many can reach their destination according to a greater harmony and alignment, we are like individual cars that must sometimes accept red light, and at other times can flow swiftly through many green lights. It is just this way, this systematic flow of divine energy through human manifestation. Your spiritual maturation is happening perfectly, there is no need to bother yourself about timing. When doors open, walk through, when there appear to be no such openings, rest and reflect. The rings of time serve you, beloved.

This oracle brings you a message that the Divine is completely responsible for the timing of every event, opportunity and happening of grace in your life. All you need to do is live your life. Everything else is taken care of for you now. This applies to all of your plans, and the unfolding of all of y our relationships. Let it all breathe and let the divine happen as it will.”

“There is a beautiful silence now

As I hold your hands

And listen to your eyes

Across a span of moments called time

There are no words that say as much

Nor walls that could confine

The wings of our feelings

Or the rhythm of our eyes.”*

~ By Alana Fairchild, and Richard Cohn

We cannot hasten the harvest, nor can we encourage the flowers to bloom faster or the river to flow faster; some things are just beyond our control, whether we like it or not! This present situation is just that; Divine Timing has been set into motion and all we can do is quite literally go with the flow. Everything is in Divine perfect order; everyone is right where they should be. All we can do is surrender the reins with complete faith and trust that things will all work out in the end. This, or something better. That is our mantra.

And as we all know, a watched pot never seems to boil. So it’s a good time to set your focus elsewhere for a bit. Tie up loose ends; take a little break; do something relaxing that you enjoy; catch up with an old friend; spend the day with your kids; get outside for some fresh air and rejuvenation. Know that all the effort you  have put in with your thoughts and actions has created momentum. Things are being created, manifestation is underway, people are on their way to you now.

But you just can’t rush it. Trust is key.

Do what you love to do; time will fly by faster. Pamper yourself; you deserve it. Treat this as a little reprieve, the calm before the storm. Use this time for you. Once things get going, you may not have as much time to yourself as you would like!
