Daily Angel Oracle Card: St. Francis Of Assisi ~ Animals, from the Saints And Angels Oracle Card deck, by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D
St. Francis Of Assisi ~ Animals: “You have a strong love bond with animals. As with St. Francis, they instinctively trust you. They can sense your compassion and understanding and come to you for help and companionship. You have an innate ability to communicate with animals, and you know what they are thinking and feeling.
In some ways, you feel more comfortable with animals than with people. You would excel in a career such as pet sitting, walking, or grooming; being a veterinarian; or animal communication. Your pets who have passed on also send you their love. They want you to know that they are happy and doing well in Heaven.
This saint is associated with nature and animals, and e is a patron saint of animal welfare. Legends say that he would give sermons in the forests, and the wild animals and birds would stop and listen.
St. Francis was born in Assisi, Italy, in 1181. He renounced his family’s wealth and became a traveling preacher, with followers who eventually formed the first Franciscan religious order. He spent a considerable amount of time helping and healing the poor, particularly those with leprosy. The powerful Prayer of St. Francis, which begins, “Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,” Also makes him one of the most beloved saints.”*

If you ever need a break from the seemingly endless chaos of the human existence, spending time with animals is not only the perfect escape from the drama, but is also very healing. Animals have incredible powers of intuition, and are able to read our emotions and state of mind; particularly the ones who are close to us, live with us, or are not feared by us (as fear is a block and will activate the instinctual response of the animal).
Animals who come into our lives are gifts, they have chosen us to help us to grow and heal. They are there to nurture us as much as we are there to provide and take care of them. There is no ownership, it is a bond of mutual respect and adoration.
Animals who become our pets adjust their frequency to match ours, often with amusing physical mannerisms and attributes. People who “look like their dog” have chosen that animal as the animal resonates with them; yet the animal’s spirit took on that appearance to appeal to that specific person. There are no co-incidences, they know exactly who they belong with!
Today’s card is asking us to celebrate the animals in our lives, past or living, and all that they have done or still do for us daily. It is also a message to be particularly aware when it comes to our dealings with animals, as they have volunteered to help us to raise our vibration, and reach new levels of consciousness. They are here to help us understand the immense beauty of our planet, and how important it is to take care of her; our Mother Gaia.
Watch closely for animal signs and messages. Now that you know that they are here to assist you, they will show up everywhere to remind you! Every time you come into contact with a bird or animal of any kind, send it blessings, love and light. (By the way, It will come back to you tenfold!) Then silently send gratitude, and let them know that we are doing our best to catch up to their open, loving and innocent ways.
Go hug you pet! …and remember to send infinite blessings to Mother Gaia and all of her amazing inhabitants every single day.
Namaste
